Dream Customs can transform your eight-generation Honda Civic into a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ

At least on paper, the idea of a budget supercar, or at least something that resembles one, is an appealing one. But oftentimes, there are certain restraints, usually stemming from the platform used. The Honda Civic seems to have always been a good base for any supercar replica and the Indian tuning studio Dream Customs has used one to make what seems a perfect recreation of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, at least from a distance.
Granted, there are many replicas based on the Civic, with the quality of execution greatly varying (most are garbage). The Indian studio has gone with the eighth generation Civic Si, which has given them more “meat” to work with.
On the outside, they’ve actually done a pretty decent job, as most of the Aventador SVJ’s design cues have been replicated near perfectly. The fitment seems to be executed well, at least from a distance. That said, the stance is ruined by the stock track width of the Civic, and the wheels look “lost” in the wheel arches.
The interior has also been completely transformed in order to resemble that of the Aventador SVJ. There’s even a tablet-style touchscreen, grafted on the center console. Just don’t expect the same level of finish as an Aventador.
Still, we have to give credit for the amount of work that went into this project. To put things into context, India’s taxation is very heavy on big-displacement engines, which is why replicas are becoming more and more popular there. The SVJ’s 6.5-liter V-12 produces 759 horsepower and although the replica isn’t expected to get anywhere near that, it will surely be easier on your wallet.
