Will an SUV-inspired design transform the Estoque Into a Success?
Would the Estoque go into production today if it had a more SUV-ish or wagon-like appearance?
by Alina Moore, onLamborghini started to explore the idea of entering new segments of the car market back in 2008 when it unveiled the Estoque concept car. It was not only the first front-engine vehicle to be introduced by Lamborghini since the LM002, but it was also a four-door coupe.
Customers weren’t really into the idea of Lamborghini making a sedan, and because of the initial negative feedback, the Estoque never made it to production. Lamborghini did however enter new segments of the market with the launch of the Urus which turned out to be a huge success, so would things be different this time around?

But what if the Estoque will eventually make it to production? Instagram user Spdesignsest tried to offer an answer to this question and he came out with a rather interesting design for the production version Estoque: one inspired by the Urus SUV. We have to admit, it looks even better than the original concept car!
As a reminder, the concept version Estoque was offered with the same 5.2-liter V-10 as the Gallardo, but since then there were rumors about either a V-8 engine or even a hybrid powertrain. So, what if the Estoque will be put into production and it will use the same engine as the Urus: a front-mounted, twin-turbo, 4.0-liter V-8 producing 650 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 850 Nm (627 pound-feet) of torque at 2,250 rpm. Will this be enough for the sedan to enjoy the same success as the SUV?
