This Porsche GT2 RS Shows The Lamborghini Huracan STO Who The Real Boss Is!
The Porsche GT2 RS doesn’t show the Lamborghini Huracan STO any before in this drag race
by Sidd Dhimaan, on LISTEN 03:13The Porsche GT2 RS needs no introduction. The little beast has flattened a lot of supercars on the drag strip and the track in the past. Now, the car has come around again to add another name to its death note. The victim it has chosen this time is the Lamborghini Huracan STO! Daniel Abt uploaded a video of the same on his YouTube channel and it’s definitely worth watching.
How Much Power Do They Make?
The Porsche GT2 RS draws power from a 3.8-liter, six-cylinder engine with forced induction that churns out 690 horses and 553 pound-feet of torque.
Power is routed to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The car weighs in at 3,241 pounds.
The Lamborghini Huracan STO, on the other hand, is powered by a 5.2-liter, naturally aspirated V-10 mill that dishes out 631 ponies and 417 pound-feet of oomph.
The mill is mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox. It weighs in at 2,952 pounds; 289 pounds lighter than the Porsche despite featuring a V-10 engine as opposed to a six-pot mill.
The Porsche Showed What it Does Best
In the first race, the Porsche got off to an amazing start and kept the lead throughout the race. To the Lamborghini’s credit, it didn’t have the best launch, but the end result is that it lost the race. The Lamborghini took 3.86 seconds to sprint to 62 mph from rest and finished the quarter-mile run in 11.44 seconds at 130 mph. The Porsche, on the other hand, sprinted from 0 to 62 mph in 3.13 seconds and did the quarter-mile touchdown in 10.93 seconds at 137 mph.
In the second run, the Huracan STO had a slightly better start, but it was still not good enough to beat its German rival. The GT2 RS took 3.1 seconds to touch 62 mph from a standstill. The quarter-mile time was quicker this time – 10.57 seconds at 138.7 mph. The Huracan STO took 3.47 seconds for its 0-62 mph run and finished the race in 11.06 seconds at a trap speed of 131.3 mph.
They then proceeded for the rolling race from 37 mph (60 kmph). The Porsche obliterated its Italian counterpart yet again and to get a clean sweep over it. The numbers weren’t revealed for this, but the Porsche touched the finish line at 123 mph, whereas the Lamborghini did it at 121.2 mph. This, however, was a little closer than the standing drag races.
