This 1,200-Horsepower Sleeper Ford F-150 Is As Sneaky As It Can Get!
No one’s going to give this sleeper F-150 a second look in the crowd unless you tell them it makes 1,200 freakin’ horses!
by Sidd Dhimaan, onSleeper cars and trucks are probably the best vehicles you see on the road. As typical an underdog move this is, it sure increases the surprise factor multifold. The latest sleeper truck that we came across is this Ford F-150 that makes 1,200 horsepower! It even proves its prowess by humiliating a Corvette Z06. Oh, the fun the driver must have every single day!
That’s One Hell Of A Sleeper!
‘That Racing Channel’ uploaded a video on its YouTube channel covering this mighty beast. The truck is a 2020 Ford F-150 XLT that’s been tuned beyond imagination by its owner, Alonzo. Starting with its ‘sleeper’ traits first, the truck is finished in white shade with a black honeycomb grille on the face. It’s a regular cab model with a short bed. The only mods that are done on the outside include the weld racing wheels shod in Toyo Proxes ST all-season tires.
Now, coming to the highlight, the truck is powered by a 5.0-liter V-8 Coyote engine from the factory. It features twin turbos, a 2021 GT intake manifold, a new fuel system, and some other tweaks to accommodate it all. It has four boost levels, right from wastegate to 18 psi in the top mode.
The result of this is over 1,200 horses and 1,100 pound-feet of torque!
The truck was running on e85 here, but Alonzo noted that he can swap the springs of the wastegate and put it on a 91 octane diet.
The engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox and a four-wheel-drive system. The gearbox has been built by Midnight Performance to handle all that power without breaking down.
The suspension system has been tweaked around quite a bit. It now has Viking dual-adjustable coilover at the front and back. It also has track bars, a VAS flip kit, and a custom transcooler for the gearbox. To make things even better, the truck weighs 3,900 pounds, which makes it even more agile on the road.
When out for a test drive, they picked up a fight with a Corvette Z06 at the signal. It was a bone-stock model that churned out 560 ponies. The F-150 made short work of it and blew it out of the water to show the sports car who the real king of the streets is.
