Feast your eyes on this one of a kind camper van concept, that was built specifically for SEMA 2021
The TacoZilla was made possible thanks to Marty Schwerter and his team at Toyota Motorsport
They've used the humble Tacoma pick up truck as a base and have gone to great lengths to modify it
With the unique livery, the team wanted to capture the essence of some of the Chinook camper vans from the 70s and 80s
While most camper vans are fairy limited in how far it can go off the beaten path, the Tacozilla isn't
It perfectly makes up for some setbacks of those vehicles with the kind of hardware that you'd traditionally find on an off-roader, like the winch seen here
Heavy duty suspension
Chunky 17" General Grabber X3 off-road tires, this one is the spare
And a snorkel, which by the way was custom built for the truck
All this, while you're cocooned in absolute comfort, with a cabin that features some great touches like teak wood floors
A compact kitchenette
And a proper bathroom
Nothing on this build is aftermaket. Pretty much every element was tailormade for the TacoZilla
You also have Toyota's legendary 3.5 liter V-6 that produces 282 hp, mated to a manual transmission. Those might not be that exciting, but what you can expect is reliability
