Floating Motors that hails from Italy have come up with a truly unique idea of transforming some truly iconic shapes from the automotive world into boats
This is a new venture that is a new venture between Pierpaolo Lazzarini and Jet Capsule, a company that specializes in making watercraft. For now 3D renders show some classic cars and shapes like the VW Camper Van seen here
A classic E-Type Jag with a retractable hood, under which lies a bed, to bask in the sunlight while on your excursion out on the riviera
They have also worked their magic on the aggressive looking Lambo Countach
If you thought it was just European cars that they were considering on this new project, then think again. Here is a mock-up of a 70's Charger with twin outboard motors. Just imagine you the motors sourced from a Jet Boat, that would make it a muscle boat
They haven't spared the pickup truck either. The bed serves up as, quite literally, a bed to lounge in. Reminds me of the ToyBota, that's made a couple of appearances on Top Gear, with the famous film where the trio, cross the English channel to France
These vehicles can be built out either as a Hydrofoil
Or a Catamaran, like this classic 550 Spyder, based on the classic Porsche. Did you catch Stig at the wheel?
Don't see one of your favorite classics here? Well, Floating Motors will happily build you one on request of course
In what settings would such vehicles make sense though?
Well obviously, they make perfect sense as a leisure vehicle and can be easily used on short excursions. Just imagine hailing one of these as a Water Taxi in Venice
Customers will have a range of powertrains to choose from
They can either have a traditional outboard motor or an electric motor, in keeping with the times, with power outputs ranging between 20 hp and 350 hp
If all goes to plan, you'll soon get to see these floating beauties out at soon. The company is now trying to raise money with the backers getting tokens in the form of Floating Motor's very own Crypto currency
And in due course, the company will debut their very first model dubbed the "La Dolce" that will be based on the Fiat 500. Watch this space. Swipe Up to Read More.
