The Tesla electric truck was spotted testing at the company’s Fremont Facility by a drone, courtesy of ‘Chile Al100’. It was seen running laps around the testing track and in the lot
From what it’s worth, it has some notable changes when compared to the prototype unveiled at the launch, suggesting this could be a near-production version, if not the final-spec model
Jumping straight to the biggest talking point – the windshield wiper. The Cybertruck can be seen with a vertically mounted, single-arm wiper resting near the A-pillar on the driver’s side
The front end seems to be a little less angular than before. The LED full-width headlight strip is replaced with two slim strips on either end. Also, they are placed at a lower position than earlier
The side profile reveals the conventional wing mirrors. This, too, has been placed since it’s required by law, Musk said
Earlier this month, Elon Musk confirmed that a four-motor variant will be going into production. In fact, it will be the first version that comes out of the assembly line
This is big news because, at launch, Tesla said the Cybertruck will be offered in single-, dual-, and tri-motor setups. In all likelihood, the quad-motor setup will replace the single motor version
The Tesla Cybertruck’s deliveries were to begin in 2021, but it’s been delayed to late 2022. We’ll have to see if it will be pushed any further
