Sam from ‘Sam CarLegion’ uploaded a video of an Audi S3 taking on a Mercedes-AMG A35 on his YouTube channel. Both the cars feature a four-pot turbo engine and an all-wheel-drive system, but the A35 is slightly more powerful on paper. Do you think this will play a role in the end result, or will the S3 be able to take down the A35?

Tim Burton from ‘Shmee150’, popularly known as Shmee, brought two of his track machines to an airstrip for a few drag races. First up was the Lamborghini Huracan STO that featured a naturally aspirated V-10, and the other was the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series powered by a 4.0-liter, forced-induction V-8. Both these cars are quick runners, but which one do you think will win?

Mercedes launched an assault at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show when it rolled out five EVs - the EQE family sedan, the EQB crossover, EQG Concept off-roader, and the Maybach EQS SUV. The fifth model was the AMG EQS, which was the first AMG model in the EQ lineup. Now, the automaker is following it up with the AMG EQE. The performance version of the EQE was spotted testing recently, proving that the company is taking the electric game to the next level.

The Mercedes-AMG C43 – the entry-level AMG C-class – has been spotted yet again on public roads, but this time, it has shed almost all of its camo. This time around, only the front and rear fascia have been covered, but even with that, you can make out just about everything since all of the preliminary and concealing camo is gone. With so little camo, we can say with almost no doubt that Mercedes will be revealing it soon, maybe even before the end of 2021.

First off, let me point out that we know this is the AMG C43 based on the lower ride height and the larger yet fake air vents. That lower ride height comes courtesy of an even stiffer suspension, and there are true quad exhaust outlet sin the rear to go with the larger brakes and the lip spoiler on the rear decklid.

The real kicker here is that the C-Class lineup is ditching all large engines, with a turbocharged and hybridized four-cylinder being the only offering. In this case, the entry-level AMG will be losing the twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine and gaining a 2.0-liter. It’s the same M139 four-banger that’s found in the AMG A45 S, and in that model it’s good for 416 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque – an improvement of 31 horsepower over the outgoing model with a V-6 but a bit down on torque. This power output could change for the C43 (or perhaps C53 if a certain rumor is correct).

The good news is that we won’t have to wait for long as a debut could happen very soon with March of 2022 being the latest we’ll see it.

It’s a new day and time for another drag race. This time, it’s the Maserati Levante GTS taking on the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S and it’s come from ‘Sam CarLegion’. When you read the specs, both the SUVs are evenly matched. The German is more powerful, but it is also much heavier, thus nullifying the power advantage. However, once they hit the drag strip, it seemed like a lopsided race. Which SUV do you think won the races?

Mat Watson and his team from ’Carwow’ got four cars to the drag strip for an all-German drag race. The contenders included the Audi RS6, the BMW M5 CS, the Mercedes-AMG E63, and the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. All the cars feature V-8 engines and two turbochargers. The Porsche goes in the races with a slight advantage, thanks to the electric motor assisting the engine and helping it make the most horses here. But, it’s a double-edged sword as the motor and batteries make it the heaviest. Which car do you think will dominate the races?

Coupe versions of SUVs have been quite a hit in the U.S. in the recent years. Automakers are coming up with the sloping roofline versions of the mid-size and full-size SUVs and they are selling pretty well. Such is the demand that you can now have them even in the sportiest and the most luxurious avatar. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S is a strong example of the same. It comes with a V-8 mill that puts out over 600 horsepower, is luxurious on the inside, and is loaded to the gills in terms of features. It faces stiff competition from the likes of the BMW X6 M and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo – is it any better than its German counterparts?

The ‘Carwow’ team brought in five German cars to face each other on the drag strip. The contenders include the Audi RS3, the BMW M2, the Mercedes-AMG A45, the Porsche Cayman GTS, and the Volkswagen Golf R. All the cars have very different setups – some are naturally aspirated, some turbocharged; some are rear-wheel-drive, some all-wheel-drive – that make this an unpredictable race. Which car are you betting on here?

The Mercedes-AMG SLS is an iconic machine and it will go down in the history books as one of the most legendary monikers to have ever graced us. It isn’t just about that long hood or the gullwing doors; the car is a beast on the track. The folks at Carwow pit it against a BMW M3 Competition to set up a naturally aspirated V-8 vs a twin-turbo straight-six. Do you think the SLS has in it to take down the turbocharged M3?

It hasn’t even been a week since Mercedes launched the new SL. The new 2023 Mercedes-AMG SL is a different beast altogether when compared to its predecessor as it is now an AMG-exclusive model only. There were rumors that it would replace not just it’s the outgoing SL, but also the GT. However, the company’s design chief, Gorden Wagener, has confirmed that both the models will coexist without really stepping on each other’s toes.

The new SL is all set to be launched today. The iconic car is AMG-fied and will be heavy on performance moving forward. There isn’t a lot known about it yet, but we do know that the car will be powered by a V-8 engine and a 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system. In 2012, the Mercedes A-Class finally became what it should have been from the beginning – a proper hatchback. With the W177-generation, the A-Class improved upon the traditional hatchback body type even more and now, a facelift is in the making. The latest spy footage suggests that the mildly hot AMG A35 is out testing and, given the amount of camouflage, the hot hatchback is almost ready for a debut.

The Lotus Exige may have been discontinued in favor of the Evija EV hypercar, but it’s still one of the best platforms for lightweight track weapons. It seems Quentin Boylan from Praetoria, South Africa, has recognized that and built his own extreme version of the British featherweight sports car. A while back, we wrote about another crazy project of his – an AMG V-8 swapped Toyota Hilux.

With the Exige, Quentin took things even further. He took the 6.2-liter V-8 out of a Mercedes SLS AMG and crammed it into the Lotus. The result is pure savagery.

Coming up with a car that can both give you the ultimate driver satisfaction and be a usable daily driver is a tall order. Or at least it used to be. The two contenders in today’s drag race prove that nothing is impossible.
