If you’re following the EV scene closely, then I’m almost certain you’re aware of Alpha Motors. The company has been pretty active since late 2020 and has launched EVs across segments. Things started off with the Ace coupe, followed by the crossover called the Jax, a pickup truck named Wolf, and its alter-ego called the Superwolf. Now, the automaker has come up with yet another retro, quirky car called the Saga. Alpha Motors seems to be building quite a portfolio here, isn’t it?

The notion of an EV pick-up truck may be disturbing for some, but that doesn’t deter car companies from churning out such vehicles. The Ford F150 Lightning, GMC Hummer, Rivian R1T, and Tesla Cybertruck, are only a few of the upcoming propositions. There is, however, another company that seems to be hell-bent on giving us a full EV lineup. Alpha Motors brings a fresh alternative to the EV pickup truck niche. After their Wolf (single cab) and Wolf + (crew cab), we now have the Alpha Superwolf – a crew cab version with proper full-size doors. But that’s not all the Superwolf brings to the table.

California-based startup automaker Alpha made waves a few months ago when it debuted the retro-styled Ace electric coupé. Now the company is back in the news with a new electric vehicle. It’s called the JAX, and it’s described as a “Junior All-terrain Crossover.” Technical details are still unavailable, but Alpha did release a walkaround video of the JAX looking like the Ace on stilts. You can even see the “Ace” badge on the rear section of the JAX. There is no timetable on when the JAX is going to be launched, but Alpha is already taking reservations for the model. Pricing for the JAX is pegged between $38,000 to $48,000.

Alpha Motors is not a very well-known startup, but it’s got a few upcoming electric vehicles. The company had revealed a cute, retro-looking car last year called the Ace. Now, the company has followed that up with a compact electric pickup truck. It is based on the Ace and its crossover coupe called the Jax. It doesn’t boast of any mind-blowing specs, but this is a truck we want!

New electric vehicles generally have a futuristic, unorthodox design language that sets them apart from the present horde of fuel-powered vehicles. But Alpha Motor Corporation has turned the clock back to build a car that seems to belong to the 60s or the 70s. Dubbed as the Ace, this little coupe comes with a minimalistic cabin and an estimated range of over 250 miles.
