Hennessey has some serious plans for the next 10 years. After it will finish with the production of the Venom F5, the company plans another three more models. The first one - codenamed ‘Project Deep Space’ - will be the world’s first six-wheel-drive, fully electric Hyper-GT. It will also be the world’s most expensive electric vehicle - with an estimated price of $3 million.

When Hennessey announced the production version Venom F5 back in December 2020 it announced it will take on cars like Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and SSC Tuatara and even more, it will hit speeds of over 300 mph. In fact at least 311 mph was the number we were promised.

Only 24 units will be built and despite its $2.1 million starting price, the supercar was sold out in no time. Now, the customers have to wait for their cars to arrive!

Hennessey brought the Venom F5 to the Monterey Car Week finished in Mojave Yellow shade. While everyone knows the prowess of this beast, the tuner used this opportunity to show that the Venom F5 needs to be appreciated for its looks too. There is a generous use of carbon fiber inside the cabin along with white leather upholstery. It seems like an odd-ball choice, but the contrasting colors of the exterior and interior gel well.

The car is powered by a 6.6-liter, V-8 engine that puts out 1,817 horses and 1,193 pound-feet of torque. This is a lot more than the Venom GT that made 1,244 horses and 1,155 pound-feet of torque. As for the performance specs, it can sprint to 60 mph from rest in just 2.2 seconds, and from 0-124 mph in 4.7 seconds. The top speed is said to be over 300 mph, but this is theoretical for now and there’s no official confirmation on this yet.

Production is capped at 24 examples and it is priced at $2.1 million. The yellow example you see here is Chassis 2 of 24. At the Monterey Car Week, Hennessey positioned it alongside a Venom F5 finished in Speed Devil Blue; the color in which the car debuted last year.

Hennessey made itself known as the company that does ridiculous tunes on everything from the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 to building the obscene 2019 Chevy Silverado Goliath 6x6 which was followed by the 2013 Venom GT Spyder, the 2014 Venom GT2, and finally an updated version of the Venom GT in 2016. All versions of the Venom GT were based on the Lotus Elise but it’s latest car, which was originally showed in 2015 – the Venom F5 – was a lot less Lotus and a lot more Hennessey. The production model of the Venom F5 was finally revealed in late 2020, and as it turns out, it represents the glass ceiling for bespoke Hennessey cars.

Hennessey’s Venom F5 has been out for Bugatti Chiron blood in its quest to become the world’s fastest production car. We know it has the right name for it and the right powerplant but beating the Chiron will take a lot more than that if Hennessey wants a supercar that’s also suited to daily driving.

Hennessey is hard at work getting the Venom F5 up to spec but a more track-focused variant isn’t completely ruled out by the company. It’s just that a GTR-esque F5 isn’t a priority, therefore, don’t expect it to materialize in the near future.

Hennessey just unveiled the Venom F5 and we’re all anxious to find out if it will set a new top speed record for production cars. That won’t happen until 2021, but we can now take a closer look at the supercar thanks to Youtube’s Mr JWW, who just posted a 20-minute walkaround of the Venom F5. What’s more, we can also hear that massive twin-turbo V-8 engine roar.

The 2021 Hennessey Venon F5 is a supercar designed and produced by American company Hennessey Special Vehicles. A successor to the Venom GT, the Venom F5 was originally unveiled in prototype form in November 2017.

Come December 2020 and Hennessey finished the first customer car and is set to produce another 23 units for a total run of 24. The 2021 Venom F5 features a brand-new V-8 engine that cranks out more than 1,800 horsepower and Hennessey aims to set a new speed record for production cars in 2021. If you were coming here in hopes ot learn just how fast the Hennessey Venom F5 can go, well I’m sorry to tell you, but we still don’t know. What we can tell you is that in a short, two-minute video, Hennessey has revealed what the production version of the Venom F5 will look like. Along with this, we’ve received confirmation that the F5 will deliver 1,817 horsepower as expected, which means it has a power-to-weight ratio of 1.34 hp per kg (1,298 HP per ton.) This figure alone, put it well ahead of any road car on sale at the time of this writing. The engine responsible for this is a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V-8 that breaks down to 277 horsepower per liter!
