SEMA show has been a major attraction for people interested in aftermarket equipment and accessories. Add Lamborghini to the growing list of automakers that have stepped up to help medical frontliners in their fight against the COVID-19 virus. The Italian automaker has started production of face masks and protective shields for health workers at Sant’Orsola-Malpighi Hospital in Bologna, Italy.

Lamborghini is targeting a production rate of 1,000 face masks and 200 face shields per day. The supercar brand is the latest automaker to lend a helping hand to the medical frontliners who have had to fight a staggering number of recorded cases in Italy. As of April 1, 2020, Italy has recorded 110,574 cases of those affected by the virus. Of that figure, a total of 13,155 people have died while 16,874 have recovered from the deadly virus.

The COVID-19 pandemic is in full blast and many countries have closed borders and asked citizens to stay home to help contain the spread. All sorts of companies around the world are joining these efforts with new logos that promote social distancing. Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Volkswagen are among them, having launched redesigned logos on social media platforms.

According to the organizers, the new Paris Motion Festival, which was supposed to include the 2020 Paris Motor Show, might not happen this year. French organization La Plateforme Automobile (PFA) says that even if the event will go on as scheduled, the car show will be much smaller than before.

A lot of countries have locked down and governments around the world are doing their best to contain the coronavirus pandemic. There is a lot of fake news circulating too, like the false rumors that Russia has let out 500 lions on the streets to make sure people don’t step out of their houses. Just like many other nations, India, too, is in the midst of a lockdown, but what we’re about to tell you isn’t fake news.

As is with any country, there are some rebellious folks who think it is okay to go against the tide. To teach them a lesson, the Indian Law Enforcers have resorted to violence. The cops are ruthlessly hitting people with sticks and canes. Do you think this is acceptable?

Personally, I think there’s a lot more to the story, and it’s being blown WAY out of proportion. But that’s a conversation for another time. The 2020 Geneva Motor Show was canceled altogether, and now the New York Auto Show has been rescheduled until late August. So, is the Detroit Auto Show the next auto show to close its doors this year or, at the very least, be postponed?

The coronavirus pandemic is keeping most of us indoors. Several countries have established total lockdown in an attempt to limit the spread of the various and for our lives to get back on track as soon as possible.

Celebrities all over the world have joined the effort to encourage people to stay safe, including Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The broadcasters who became famous for running the Top Gear show posted a video message through Drivetribe, their up and coming automotive platform.

New York City, the epicenter for the novel coronavirus in the United States, is in lockdown and citizens are asked to practice social distancing and stay indoors. As this video from Shifting Lanes shows, the streets of "The City That Never Sleeps" are now almost empty.
