Piëch Automotive are a bespoke manufacturer of electric automobiles founded in 2017 by Anton Piëch. The automaker has revealed new details about their upcoming GT, which is all set to hit the market in 2024.

The Swiss startup previewed the model’s concept, christened the Mark Zero, at the Geneva Motor Show back in 2019. Now, the car is finally undergoing testing at the Piëch Engineering GmbH’s facility in Germany, in order to ratify all project details.

Switzerland is known for a lot of things - chocolate, ski resorts, a square flag… but all-electric sports cars? Not so much. However, that could very well change with the introduction of the 2019 Piëch Mark Zero. Offered as the very first model from Piëch Automotive, a German-Swiss automaker based out of Zürich and Munich, the Mark Zero is a high-powered two-door EV with grand tourer aspirations, plus a low-three-second 0-to-60 mph time and head-turning good looks. Making its formal public debut with home-field advantage at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Mark Zero could also provide the underpinnings for a number of upcoming models, as well as the most important EV battery tech upgrade of the modern era.

The 2019 Geneva Motor Show is coming to a close, and as the dust settles, it’s time to take a moment and reflect on all the big debuts that swept across the Palexpo convention center. Unsurprisingly, sports cars and all-electric powertrains occupied a good deal of available real estate this year, and Piëch Automotive’s Mark Zero stood out as a fantastic example of how to combine the two into a single niche vehicle.

The all-electric performance war is heating up at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, with the latest combatant coming from Piëch Automotive, a fresh-faced Swiss automaker based out of Zürich. It’s called the Mark Zero, and it promises impressive EV sportiness and amazing technology. What’s more, this could be the first in a line of new vehicles slated to drop in the next several years from the up-and-coming brand.
