Performance luxury sedans are the perfect middle ground for those seeking comfort, practicality and performance in a single package. And while we have gotten plenty of great examples like the BMW M5, Mercedes AMG GT63, Porsche Panamera, and others, there are those that came to us as concepts, but never delivered in the real world. Here are the most prominent culprits.

British heavy machinery maker, JCB has developed a combustion engine that works on Hydrogen. As with the entire industry, pushing for electric powertrains, JCB too initially jumped on the trend and soon realized that there are some major setbacks with battery technology for their applications. The folks at Carwow organized a different type of race this time. Mercedes-Benz has a fairly rich experience in building vehicles that feel at home off road. No, I’m not about talking about the G-Class. The company has many other vehicles that are more suited to such trails, and the Unimog you see here is one of them. It is an all-terrain truck that the company has been building for many decades now. Mat Watson of Carwow and Mat Watson Cars recently took a ride in one of them at the company’s off-roading facility in Germany. Is this one of the best off-road trucks that are in production today?

There’s nothing like crashes with surprising results that get our nerves flowing. That’s especially true when we’re dealing with trucks crashing into barriers, specifically those of the anti-terrorism kind. These crashes are spectacular, if not a little scary.

There are no typos in that previous sentence. It really is a limousine, though it didn’t start as one. But that’s neither here nor there. What’s important is that it’s for sale in Australia, and you have the opportunity to buy it provided you’re willing to spend on it. But before you do, there is one caveat. Ferrari doesn’t take too kindly to its cars getting bastardized to this extent. The Italian automaker has been known to be litigious in circumstances like this, so before you plop down your hard-earned money for the 360 Modena limousine, you might want to make sure that everything about the car is on the up-and-up.

Idaho-based Legacy Classic Trucks had taken up a unique restoration project recently. The company laid its hands on a 1937 tour bus that served at the Mount Rainier National Park in Washington state. Vintage tour buses are a popular sight at tourist spots, so retaining the essence of this bus was the most important thing about this restoration. Legacy Classic Trucks has managed to do it and it looks stunning.

However, it is priced exorbitantly high. The company is selling this restored, bespoke bus for over half-a-million dollars. Well, I’d rather buy a ticket and take a ride in it if it were to be deployed at a tourist site than buy it!

Bollinger has unveiled a Chassis Cab version of its electric truck for its commercial customers called the Bollinger B2 Chassis Cab. It is based on the Class 3 platform called the E-Chassis which Bollinger revealed last month.

The automaker claims that it is “the world’s first and only Class 3 all-electric chassis-cab truck platform.” Will this help Bollinger make a mark for itself in the commercial electric truck market?

The new Armada is a giant leap forward for Nissan. Its comfort levels, active and passive safety features, and rigidity within the ladder frame and body structure are all vastly improved. It also bookends the automaker’s complete revision of its SUV and crossover lineups over the last three years, with new editions of the Pathfinder, Murano, and Rogue.

As before, the Armada sits atop the Nissan SUV lineup as the flagship. It offers the highest levels of available luxury and comfort, especially in its range-topping trim, the Platinum. Lower trim levels include the “base” SV and mid-grade SL trims.

The Scania AXL Concept was started from a blank sheet of paper. Scania’s designers and engineers, however, had a clear task to abide by, though: the cabin had to be driverless. Which kind of contradicted Scania’s previous projects, where the cabin had to be wrapped around the driver, with all the adjacent aspects like safety and comfort. Oh, and to make things even more complicated, the design team was given one year to come up with a viable prototype. Did we mention it had to drive itself as well?

Freightliner electric trucks have officially made their real-life debut. The first batch of the Freightliner eM2 trucks has been delivered to the buyer, and you may soon start seeing them on the roads here. The eM2 is Daimler-owned company’s first zero-emissions medium-duty truck and the first lot of 30 e-trucks has been handed over to Penske Truck Leasing Corporation in Los Angeles.

Electrified cargo vehicle can help much more than electric cars when it comes to conserving nature. A couple of months back, DHL and Ford joined hands to develop electric trucks that the former would be using its delivery fleet. This time, it is FedEx and Chanje doing the same thing by introducing electric vans.

This Cullinan clearly shows that there is no dearth of people ready to spend money on anything a company makes. This time, it’s for a stretched Rolls-Royce Cullinan. German company Klassen, which specializes in stretching high-end cars, has worked on the world’s most luxurious SUV. Price? No biggie. Klassen is selling for a “modest” $2 million.

The new presidential limousine, loosely similar in appearance to the Cadillac CT6, is finally in service and was first seen in public in New York earlier this week where the UN General Assembly gathered. It is the first new presidential limousine in almost a decade.

No other president’s means of transportation is as famous as that of the president of the United States. Commonly known as ’The Beast’. The introduction of the automobile as the president’s means of transportation didn’t happen right away, though, the first president to have a fleet being William Howard Taft in the early part of the last century.

As time went by, the limousines grew in both size and weight when it was decided that bulletproof glass and bodywork is a necessity. Nowadays, the presidential limousines, codenamed ’Stagecoach’, run on truck underpinnings and their specifications are secret.

The fact that President Donald Trump was getting a new limousine was, though, an open secret with the car having been seen testing in camouflage back in April. The previous state car, which debuted back in 2009 under President Barack Obama, was also a Cadillac-badged vehicle.
