2019 was a big year for the Chevrolet Corvette. After almost 70 years on the market with a front-engined layout, the iconic nameplate became a mid-engined vehicle, just like Zora-Arkus Duntov wanted back in the 1960s. The C8-gen Corvette went into production for the 2020 model year, but the coronavirus pandemic forced Chevy to reduce factory output for a few months. Now, the Corvette C8 is available in the 2021 model year with small visual updates. You can now configure the 2021 Corvette Stingray online, and here’s how our ideal C8 would look like.

The 2021 Bronco has created a stir and people can’t seem to stop talking about it. In fact, the response has been so overwhelming that the website had also crashed. According to the Q2 earnings call, well over a hundred thousand people have reserved the new Bronco and can’t wait to lay their hands on the off-roader.

With numerous packages and accessories announced, the next exciting part is to be able to configure it and Ford has some good news for us on that front. The company has confirmed that the Bronco configurator will go live in September!

The Bugatti Divo was unveiled back in 2018, but because production of the Chiron and its version is bespoke, the French carmaker has yet to assemble and deliver all 40 units. Production of the Divo began recently, but with Bugatti’s factory closed off due to the coronavirus pandemic, customers might not get their cars for a while. To keep things interesting, Bugatti is now showing off four builds commissioned by Divo buyers. These are just computer-generated images, but they illustrate the wide range of possibilities inside and out, as well as the fact that all 40 examples will be unique.

We can’t not like the Blue colors that adorned the Shelby GT500 that was showcased during the car’s big debut. It was a beautiful color, and it fit the car pretty damn well. Of course, it looked even better because of the color of carpet it was displayed on, but that’s neither here nor there. What if you don’t want blue? Maybe you want pull-me-over-red (not that’s not a real color) or some variation of blue or purple even? Well, the Shelby GT500 is offered with your choice of 11 different colors, some of which you can have for free, and others you have to pay for. Nobody was expecting the Porsche Taycan, the brand’s first mass market all-electric vehicle, to be cheap. And it isn’t, even when just talking about its base asking price. When you start piling on the options (and if you’re configuring one of these, make no mistake, you will), the price quickly soars to astronomical levels.

Chevrolet just released pricing for the 2020 C8 Corvette and, as promised, it costs less than $60,000 in base spec. Specifically, it retails from $59,995, which makes it the most affordable mid-engined sports car on the market. However, adding the cool options will inflate the Corvette’s price quite a bit. When Chevrolet released the online configurator for the Corvette C8, a lot of people, myself included, jumped at the chance to create my personal Corvette C8. I had no intention of buying one, but at least I had a tool I could use to imagine what my all-new Vette could look like. Unfortunately, most newly launched configurators are never as polished as they are after a few weeks of updates and improvements. The Corvette C8’s configurator was no different, and navigating it in the first few days of its release was challenging, to say the least. I did manage to create my Corvette C8, though my work only included exterior and interior colors to go with a few extra pieces of carbon fiber thrown in for good measure. It also took a lot longer than I expected to finish considering all the issues that kept popping up. So if you’re going to give the Corvette C8 configurator a try, do so with plenty of patience in stock. You’re going to need it.

The arrival of a heavily hyped vehicle usually comes with a handful of complementary launches. Our favorite — as is everybody’s, I assume — is the online configurator. This is where we get to put our designer hats on and create our ideal model, which in this instance, happens to be the all-new Chevrolet Corvette C8. Mind you, this isn’t your typical hyped of a release. This is the Corvette C8, the current hype beast of the automotive world that also happens to be the first mid-engine Corvette in the nameplate’s long and illustrious history. You don’t just aimlessly wander around its online configurator and throw one splashy color to its body and call it a day. You take your time building it, and if you have to go to the minutiae of why you chose this package over that package, then so be it. Some of us may not get the opportunity to buy the Corvette C8 so this is the next-best-thing. Better believe that we’re taking this configurator seriously.

After a 30-year exile from the pickup segment, Jeep is going all guns blazing for this pickup truck. Although the concept of the truck was unveiled in 2005, Jeep took its sweet time to bring out the production version. Was it worth the wait? I would say yes because the truck is a perfect blend of modern technology and old-school charm. Not only is it riveting and engaging to drive, but it also carries a moniker that has been adored for many generations now. The best part about the Gladiator, you ask? Its versatility. Jeep has offered many options and packages on its website for the 2020 Gladiator, along with the access to Mopar stuff that can help you customize this truck as per your needs and requirements.

Despite having a range of competent products in the stable, the need for a pickup truck was hurting the company. But, after almost three decades, Jeep finally decided to bring back the Gladiator, and the truck has been the talk of the town ever since. McLaren has done it again. When it comes to redefining expectations, the British supercar brand stands as one of the best innovators in the entire industry, and with the arrival of the McLaren GT, it’s safe to say that McLaren’s reputation in this regard remains intact. The GT is, for all intents and purposes, a supercar wearing a grand tourer’s body. It’s more powerful than the McLaren 570GT, and it has more functional trunk space than an actual sedan. Obviously, we’re not going to let this opportunity pass us by, even if we’re not actually buying one. The real McLaren GT, after all, starts at $210,000. It’s hard to find that kind of scratch these days so we’ll settle for what we can actually work with.

Alfa Romeo is celebrating its incredible Nurburgring heritage with the all-new 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio NRing Edition. Creating a car that pays homage to the most fantastic track in the world isn’t anything new in the car world, but Alfa Romeo probably has more reasons for it than anyone else. Not only did it win the 1935 Grand Prix at the ’Ring in front of the Third Reich officers, but the racing cars based on the 1960’s Giulia sedan, and its numerous versions dominated the Nurburgring track winning 12 times in the ’60s. Thanks to such incredible results, Alfa Romeo revealed the 2019 Giulia Qaudrifoglio NRing Edition - an extremely limited version of the Giulia Quadrifoglio available in the U.S. and Canada.

With subtle and somewhat lackluster additions, the NRing Edition manages to capture the magic of the most famous racetrack in the world in an effort to create an Alfa Romeo myth for the upcoming generations. This is how you make a brand.

First the teasers, then the reveal, and now this – Lamborghini is making sure our New Year celebrations do not end. The new Huracan, now known as the Huracan Evo, did not just receive cosmetic upgrades; it came with more power and better mechanicals as well. However, if somehow the Huracan Evo did not float your boat, the company made sure you don’t leave disappointed. Lamborghini has put a new configurator on its website, and the choices have left us drooling.

McLaren has launched the online configurator for the new 600LT supercar. Launched at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed back in July, the track-prepped Sports Series supercar brings back the Long Tail heritage for McLaren. The 600LT is lighter and more powerful than the 570S. It’s powered by the same twin-turbo, 3.8-liter, V-8 that’s used throughout the entire Sports Series lineup. The 600LT’s V-8 engine is tuned to produce 592 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque, 30 horsepower and 14 pound-feet of torque more than the 570S. Now that the supercar’s online configurator is live, it’s time to go have some fun with it.

Unveiled at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show, the Ford Ranger is set to return to American dealerships after a very long absence. However, pricing and some important information remained a mystery. Now, the truck’s configurator showed up earlier than expected on Ford’s official website, revealing cab options and specific pricing. I say earlier than expected because Ford has taken the page down shortly after it made headlines.

Unveiled in 2015, the BMW M2 became the spiritual successor to the 1M Coupe and gained notoriety for being a closer rendition to the original M3 than the modern M4. Come 2018 and BMW unveiled the M2 Competition, a more powerful version of the coupe.

While Competition-branded cars are usually upgrades to the regular M model, the M2 Competition is actually a replacement for the standard M2, which was discontinued. Upgrades inside and out are rather mild, but the Competition variant stands out for featuring the engine from the bigger M4 under the hood. The McLaren 600LT is yet another feather in the cap for the British automaker. As if it doesn’t have enough mouth-watering performance cars already, McLaren unveiled the 600LT with the purpose of filling out its entry-level Sports Series lineup with its own track-focused beauty. It looks the part of a super sports car, has the most power out of all McLaren Sports Series, and it’s configured for the thrills of the racetrack. Unfortunately, all that acclaim comes with the downside of us having little chance of owning one in our lifetimes. So what’s the best way to deal with that reality? Play around with the new McLaren 600LT online configurator, and imagine what our 600LTs could look like. It’s only in the virtual world, but like most things that we literally can’t get our hands on, we’ll take anything we can get.

The Polestar 1 is arguably one of the most highly anticipated cars in the business today. The performance coupe checks a lot of boxes on what you want out of the first offering from Volvo’s former performance division. Needless to say, the Polestar 1 has our attention. That much was clear when the coupe’s online configurator went live. We couldn’t wait to play around with it, and when we got the chance to do it, well, this happened.

The Lincoln Nautilus is one of the shiny new SUVs that are out on the market these days. Naturally, when a new model with so much promise comes out, a lot of people will be curious to see what it has to offer. That includes me, so I did what anybody in his right frame of mind would do. I jumped straight into the Nautilus’ new online configurator to do some work on my virtual SUV. The results, I can say, are intriguing enough that I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of people are doing the same right now.
