If I were to ask you to name a six-wheel-drive truck a few years back, chances are you could recollect just one – the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6. Even the non-enthusiasts were aware of its existence. But, lately, the scene is changing and there are a lot of 6x6 trucks available. Hennessey has not one, but two – the VelociRaptor 6x6 based on the Ford Raptor and the Mammoth 6x6 that’s based on the Ram 1500 TRX.

However, there’s another new entrant from Rezvani Motors that comes with insane performance figures and a sky-high price tag. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting to you, the Rezvani Hercules 6x6!

In the age of Netflix and chill, carmakers (as any other company out there) redirect huge chunks of their marketing budgets towards TV series that would display some of their products for a given number of episodes. This is called product placement and there’s not a single show out there that hasn’t done it at least once. We’ve seen Toyota flaunting the 2020 Camry in Jessica Jones and we’ll see the Supra get a lot of screen time in the upcoming Fast and Furious movie. However, a very special and equally rare and expensive SUV made an appearance in HBO’s Watchmen this week and we simply had to show it to you.

Rezvani has come out of its lab with a new version of the Tank SUV, called the Tank X. The body of the Tank X remains the same, but underneath the imposing facade lies an engine option in the form of a 6.2-liter, supercharged, V-8 engine that’s been tuned to produce 707 horsepower and 710 pound-feet of torque. The Tank X starts at $259,000, though given Rezvani’s massive options list, that price tag could just as well say “your mileage may vary.”

Rezvani Motors was originally founded in 2014 in Orange County, California. In May of 2015, Rezvani released its very first model - the Rezvani Beast, a low-weight supercar based on the Ariel Atom. The company has released a series of new models in the years that followed, including an SUV called the Rezvani Tank, and now it’s introducing a new top-of-the-line iteration of the Beast called the Alpha X Blackbird, which sits atop four other models, including the Beast, Beast Alpha, Beast X, and Beast Alpha X. Rezvani says this latest model is even more hardcore than those that came before, once again combining impressively low weight and high horsepower to make for the “quickest, most powerful vehicle Rezvani Motors has ever built.”

You probably remember the Rezvani Tank, the modified Jeep Wrangler Unlimited put together by this California-based company known for high-performance supercars. We brought news of the Tank back in early October, including its $178,000 starting price. Well, Rezvani has launched its online configurator for the tank, complete with outlandish options like three levels of bulletproofing and hand-stitched leather floor mats. Well, it turns out the Tank can get a whole lot more expensive than we originally thought.

The 2018 Rezvani Tank can cost upwards of $305,000!

That’s right – this Wrangler-turned-monster can cost more than a quarter-million dollars. So, what jacks the price up? Quite a bit, actually. Let’s tear down the build sheet and see what options Rezvani is offering. It’s actually pretty interesting. But for starters, remember this Wrangler has been fitted with a 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 making near 500 horsepower and rides on upgraded axles with beefier suspension parts and 37-inch mud-terrain tires.

Rezvani has only been around since 2014, but has already created some spectacular supercars with outstanding performance. There’s the Beast, the Beast Alpha, and the X version of both. Now, the small automaker is getting into the SUV game. Not surprisingly, its idea of an SUV is just as outlandish as its definition of a supercar. Meet the Rezvani Tank. As the name describes, this SUV is all brawn and bravado thanks to its buff body, massive wheels and tires, and powerful V-8.

The Tank also lives up to its militaristic appearance. It comes with FLIR thermal imaging, standard night vision, a head-up display for the driver, LED off-road lighting, and optional ballistic armor. Yet, under its skin, the Tank is a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Yep, open the front door or the re-hinged rear doors that now open suicide style, and you’ll see an interior that’s straight from the Wrangler. Of course, Rezvani does plenty to upgrade the Wrangler’s internals, making the six-figure asking price seem a bit more reasonable. The Tank’s ties to FCA and Mopar continue under the hood, too. That 500-horsepower V-8 is none other than the 6.4-liter Hemi found in the SRT versions of the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Nevertheless, the Rezvani Tank is an original design living atop a Wrangler, which is unquestionably the most iconic off-road vehicle sold today.

Christmas is still seven months away, but if you’re a fan of Rezvani and its collection of performance cars, the company has an early holiday present for you. The 2018 Rezvani Beast Alpha that the automaker announced would cost $200,000 when the car made its debut at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show isn’t going to cost that much after all. In fact, it’s not even going to cost half that price with Rezvani announcing the entry-level sports car will start at $95,000.

The California-based automaker didn’t say why the Beast Alpha’s price went down precipitously, but I don’t foresee anybody complaining about it too much. What we do know is that certain elements of the sports car have changed ever since its debut in Los Angeles that can be tied into the price-drop. Arguably the most important of these changes is the car’s engine. The initial plan was to use a Honda-sourced 2.4-liter supercharged engine that produces 500 horsepower. Now it looks like that engine has been replaced with a 2.5-liter supercharged Bosworth engine that “only” produces 400 horsepower. Granted, 400 ponies is still potent, but it’s not a coincidence the price for the car dropped when the power output decreased. It’s still unclear if the Beast Alpha underwent other changes that caused the price drop, but for what it’s worth, the hardtop coupe still looks largely similar to the model that was unveiled in Los Angeles.

The Rezvani Beast came to be in 2014, less than a year after Rezvani Motors was established in 2014. Developed as a street-legal race car, the Beast is based on the British-made Ariel Atom, using not only its lightweight chassis, but Honda Racing engine too. Much like any carmaker focused on track-ready, limited-production cars, Rezvani focuses on creating various versions of its original sports car rather than developing new products. The initial Beast was followed by a Speedster version in 2016, while the 2017 model year brought the Beast X, Rezvani’s quickest and most powerful vehicle to date. At the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show, Rezvani unveiled yet another variant of the Beast, called the Alpha.

Although much of the styling is identical to any other Beast we’ve seen so far, there are two very important features that set the Alpha apart. First, it has a targa-style roof. Granted, it’s removable and turns the car into a proper roadster, but when in place, it provides the comfort of a regular coupe, as well as better aerodynamics. Second, the Alpha uses a

derived chassis instead of the Ariel Atom underpinnings found in other Beast models. Third, the engine is turbocharged rather than supercharged. Finally, it comes with a rather unconventional door system, which Rezvani dubbed "SideWinder."

Despite the updates, it’s not significantly more expensive than the standard Beast ,which is a real treat given that the limited-edition Beast X had a nearly 60-percent premium. But let’s find out more about that as well as what makes the Alpha special in the review below.

Say what you will about the technological advancements automakers have made on lights, engines, and autonomous driving, there’s always room for other parts of a car to get in on the fun. Rezvani showed us that when it introduced the Beast Alpha and its “Sidewinder” doors at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

There are plenty of items about the Beast Alpha that are worth headlines, but none are as polarizing as those doors and the manner by which they pop out when their opened and slide forward to let the occupants in and out of the car. At the very least, those are going to be tricky to use in the presence of other cars, but hey, they’re definitely new and they grab people’s attention, for better or worse.

Now, about those “other” items. It’s hard to say if the Beast Alpha is a higher- or lower-end model compared to its cousin, the Beast two-roadster. For one, the Alpha is heavier by around 300 pounds, which is partly responsible for the car returning a slower 0-to-60-mph sprint time (3.2 seconds) than the open-top variant (2.7 seconds). That’s 0.5 seconds slower, which is an eternity in the world of performance cars. On the other hand, the Beast Alpha has a top speed of 175 mph, 10 mph quicker than the Beast. That’s likely due to the Alpha’s hardtop improving the car’s overall aerodynamics, hence making it run smoother than the standard Beast at high speeds.

There might be a little bit of an identity crisis between these two models, but even that shouldn’t take away from the impressive finished products. The Beast Alpha, in particular, looks like a certified sports car and it’s got an

sourced 2.4-liter, K21 turbocharged, engine that nets an impressive 500 horsepower. It even has those Sidewinder doors, which, for lack of a better description, are going to get far more attention than any other part of the car.

In recent years, the market has been flooded by superlight sports cars in the vein of the Caterham Seven. Ariel, Noble, and KTM are only a few of the companies that have joined this niche, launching powerful competitors for the iconic Seven. But these aren’t as new as the Rezvani Beast, a sports car built by an American-Iranian manufacturer established in 2014. Based on the Ariel Atom underneath, the Beast arrived in various configurations in 2015 and quickly made a name for itself as one of the most aggressive, no-nonsense sports cars on the market. Come 2016 and Rezvani is finally ready to take orders for the Beast, which can be customized via an online configurator.

The interesting thing about it is that while most sports cars don’t have an actual configurator — the Seven, for instance, can’t be built online — Rezvani launched quite the comprehensive website for the Beast. The first step enables you to see the sports car in one of six available paints and one of three wheel colors. Next up, you get to pick between the six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, standard or adjustable suspension, and from three different braking systems.

There are also numerous Interior options for such a simple sports car, including cloth or leather upholstery, three colors, and customizing possibilities for the shift knob, stitching, seats, steering wheel, and floor mats. Finally, you can select a premium sound system and accessories such as a car cover and a battery charger. The next step is to reserve the car and place the order, in which case you can choose to make a deposit. It’s pretty neat assuming you have at least $210,000 to spare. Rezvani Motors certainly captured our attention with the Beast, a rebodied and reworked version of the Ariel Atom that offers ludicrous levels of performance. While the Beast may be its only product at the moment, the California-based company has no intention of remaining a one-trick pony for long. In fact it has a couple of new projects underway.

Fresh off of making an impressionable appearance in an episode of "Jay Leno’s Garage", Rezvani Motors has revealed its plans to add two new models to its lineup by the time 2016 comes to end. In a conversation with Autoblog, the California-based automaker indicated its intention to launch a coupe version of the Rezvani Beast and a more interesting “ultra rugged” SUV to add on to its existing one-model lineup.

Not much is known about either car, but company founder Ferris Rezvani hinted that a the coupe version of the Beast will receive little in the way of modifications other than reconfiguring its body to accommodate the adjustments needed with having a fixed roof on the track car. Other than that, the Beast coupe will likely receive the same

sourced 2.4-liter, supercharged, four-cylinder engine that’s been tuned to deliver 500 horsepower. Obviously, performance numbers will be different on account of the coupe configuration of the new model. At the very least, it could weigh a little more than the 1,650-pound Beast unless Rezvani can do some design gymnastics to account for the extra weight.

The more interesting of the two models is the SUV. As expected, Rezvani declined to elaborate on the model, opting only to say that it will be based on “another fully certified platform”. Whether that means the off-road Ariel Nomad isn’t clear, but the important thing here, at least at this point, isn’t so much about the details of the new models as it is the promise of them arriving before the year ends.

The Rezvani Beast has graced our pages a handful of times in the past couple of years and yet it seems that the track-day racer has yet to get the credit that it deserves. Chalk it up to a variety of reasons, but at the end of the day, it still doesn’t seem fair that a car like the Beast can be relegated to the sidelines while some of its contemporaries are celebrated time and time again. Fortunately, there’s nothing like an appearance at Jay Leno’s Garage that can serve as an introduction into the mainstream for the Beast.

In the latest episode of his popular motoring show, Leno hosts the Rezvani Beast and the man behind its creation, founder Ferris Rezvani. Together, the two discuss a variety of topics about the car, from its humble history all the way to the actual production of the car. Many people don’t realize that the Beast itself is actually an Ariel Atom hiding inside a sexy carbon fiber body. Really, there’s more to the Beast than meets the eye and the conversation between Leno and Rezvani slowly peeled away the process behind the car’s creation.

At the risk of spoiling anything, I’m not going to dive deep into the discussions between the two because it’s probably best if it’s heard straight from the two men talking about it. What I can tell you is that you’re going to appreciate the Rezvani Beast even more once you hear about the story behind it, somewhat expensive price tag ($165,000) notwithstanding.

In a lot of ways, Rezvani is the kind of person we hope to be but for one reason or another, we never get to be. It certainly speaks a lot about the man’s determination to see his brainchild through and the result speaks for itself. And, if nothing else, the car looks absolutely gorgeous, which is more than what I can say for some of the other barely-there track toys in the business today.

Rezvani Motors was only founded in 2014, but in just a little over a year, the company has managed to successfully break into the market. Rezvani’s first offering was the Beast, a 500-horsepower, street-legal track toy that was nothing short of spectacular on the track. Rezvani is now building off of the success of the Beast and the subsequent Beast Speedster by introducing a juiced-up version of the track superstar. It’s called the Beast X, and as you’d expect, that “X” stands for something sinister.

Much like its predecessors, the Beast X carries the same

sourced chassis and Honda Racing engine, but its purpose is to obliterate anything in its path on the race track. That’s no easy task considering what the Atom V8 did to Jeremy Clarkson’s face, but the Beast X has both the power and lightness to give most supercars a run for their money.

On top of that, the Beast X marks the arrival of Rezvani’s new X division, which will be responsible for "the most extreme and exclusive high-performance tuning of Rezvani vehicles and motorsport." The company plans to release more X-badged models in the future, but until that happens, we’ll have a closer look at the quickest and most powerful Beast ever built.

It’s been only a few months since Rezvani launched the 2016 Rezvani Beast, a 500-horsepower track toy aimed at established lightweight cars such as the 2013 Caterham Seven 620R and 2015 Ariel Atom 3S, and the American company has introduced a second version of its sports car. Meet the Beast Speedster, a less powerful but still exciting road-legal sports car that comes at a more affordable price than the standard Beast.

Designed by the same Samir Sadikhov, the Beast Speedster features everything the standard Beast does, including the engine, but output has been decreased significantly. But although it might not be as powerful and quick as the Beast, the Speedster does offer enticing performance that enables it to outgun sports car coming from more established carmakers. After all, it is also built on a chassis sourced from the incredibly fast 2015 Ariel Atom 3S.

As with the Beast, the Speedster’s secret lies in its low, 1,650-pound curb weight, carbon-fiber construction, and extreme aerodynamics, which allow it to deliver outstanding performance despite being only as powerful as a 2016 Nissan Maxima sedan. Keep reading for the full rundown.

There aren’t many outrageously aggressive road-legal track-day cars that are made in America, but there are a few. One of them is the new 2016 Rezvani Beast. While the name may sound a little juvenile at first, one look at the body, and you’ll be in agreement; this thing is a beast. The body itself is a combination of mean looks and aerodynamic dominance that provides just the right amount of downforce to keep this 500-horse “beast” on all fours. The body is designed specifically to allow air flow from the front air intakes, through the front wheel wells, into the inlets for the engine intake, and finally out the diffuser in the rear. The interior is all about business with two racing seats with five-point harnesses, a carbon fiber steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a touchscreen audio system. The real news about the Beast, however, is the turbocharged and supercharged, Honda Racing engine that is hidden below that aggressive body.

At first, you might what to shake your head at an American-built monster with Honda power behind it, but don’t be so quick to dismiss it. This Beast can hit 60 mph in 2.7 seconds on the way to a respectable top speed of 165 mph. Of course, you could be thinking “big deal, there are plenty of cars that can hit those kind of performance numbers.” And, you wouldn’t necessarily be wrong, but how many of them are made in America and are road-legal here in the U.S.? In the world of supercars, it’s important to boast. This is a place where big numbers are matched to even bigger egos, where the established hierarchy is reinforced on the track with lap times. The winners are heroes, while the losers are pushed to the margins, obscured and forgotten. So it makes sense that the upstart California-based automaker Rezvani would go so far as to call their premiere vehicle the “Beast” and hype it with videos like the latest above-featured teaser.

The loud-mouthed approach is reinforced in the brief 15-second video. It’s a collection of close-ups on the car highlighting its various sinewy bulges and ripples, including a zoom of the front end, a spot on the rear exhaust, details of the harness-equipped full-carbon-fiber bucket seats, a pan over the side air intakes, and a revolving shot around the rear bumper. It’s all laden with tension and drama, with a soundtrack that sounds like it was plucked from a horror film.

Rezvani dropped official details on the Beast last year, and all told, it looks like quite the impressive package. Samir Sadikhov, also known for designing the Aston Martin DBC and Ferrari Xezri concepts, is responsible for the exterior, and based on the video and previously released photos, it looks fantastic – like a stealth bomber mated with the Mach 5.

Two versions will be offered, including the Beast 300, which will run a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 315 horsepower and 239 pound-feet of torque, and the Beast 500, which features a twin-charged 2.4-liter four-cylinder producing 500 horsepower and 427 pound-feet of torque. Both models weigh in at around 1,500 pounds.

Anytime you hear an upstart automaker promise the world and deliver little to nothing, you get desensitized with the hype these soon-to-be-unveiled exotics have. But something about Rezvani Motors is different, in large part because it’s just debuted a supercar with a ridiculously high bar attached to it. Rezvani is promising to shame other supercars with ’The Beast.’

Rezvani Motors has done a good job keeping the project under wraps up to this point, opting only to say that the Beast will make use of "lightweight racing technologies" to go with an engine that will "leave other supercars in the dust." Very, very strong words.

But if you’re thinking that Rezvani is drinking way too much hyperbole juice, the company remains unfazed about throwing out all these promises. After all, based on the newly released information and photos, the car might actually have a chance at stirring the supercar waters.

Whether it lives up to Rezvani’s claim that the Beast will be the "purest driving experience" on the market today is still up to interpretation. Maybe with these claims, it’s not unreasonable to expect the Beast to put down around 800-plus horsepower, right?
