Ford has let out its ultimate prizefighter to take on the Jeep Wrangler
After being in production for over three decades, the Bronco went down in the history books as one of the most hardcore SUVs that mankind had ever seen. The SUV was developed as an off-roader to take on the Jeep CJ-5, and it succeeded to a large extent. However, the company decided to put down the model in 1996 to make way for a newer lineup. Purists and enthusiasts hoped the model would make a comeback, and after 20+ years, the moniker has come back from the ashes.
Rumors about its reincarnation started many years back, but the company didn’t confirm its existence until less than a year before it was unveiled. The wait was not easy, but it was worth it. The company launched the rugged, off-road Bronco in two- and four-door configurations, to go with an urban version with an off-road bias called the Bronco Sport. Ford will offer hundreds of optional accessories right from its launch as well. Despite all this, does it have in it to take on the undisputed king of the segment, the Jeep Wrangler?

Did You Know That Buying A Ford Bronco Sport Helps In Saving Our Oceans?
Buying a car is not exactly what you would call a very eco-friendly choice. After all, depending on how it’s manufactured, it will probably contribute in more ways than one to greenhouse gas emissions or material waste. In the case of the Ford Bronco Sport, buying one could mean ridding the ocean from plastic pollution.
See And Hear The Ford Bronco Raptor As It Plays Around The Sand
The Bronco has been such a huge hit for Ford, the only way you wouldn’t know about its existence is if you’ve been living under a rock all your life. Even then, the Blue Oval brand isn’t resting on its laurels as it prepares to launch the Bronco Raptor next year.
This Is The Best Look Of The Ford Bronco Raptor To Date
The Bronco Raptor has been in the news pretty much the day after the Bronco was unveiled. A lot of rumors and speculations were seen headlining the auto scene, but nothing was official for over a year. In September, however, Ford confirmed that the Bronco Raptor is coming in 2022. Post this announcement, one thing was sure – we would be hearing and seeing a lot more about it.
As it turns out, we have our first scoop already. A bunch of folks from ’The Bronco Nation’ were invited to see the Bronco Raptor in person and thanks to them, we have our best glimpse of the burly off-roader to date.
The $200,000+ Bronco DR Is The Only Way You Can Get A V-8 Bronco From The Factory
Ford was mighty active at the recently concluded SEMA Show. It introduced tens of concepts for its trucks and the Mustang range. The Bronco wasn’t left behind either. We would’ve liked it if the Bronco Raptor would have made its debut here, but instead, the company gave us the Bronco DR – a Desert Racer built to compete in the 2022 Baja 1000. Interestingly, the company will put it up for sale, but it isn’t street legal. Care you shell out over $200,000 for the beast?

It’s Official: The 2022 Ford Bronco Sasquatch Will Have a Manual Transmission
When Ford revived the Bronco moniker from the ashes, it made sure to cover all bases possible. It missed out on a couple of them, like not offering a V-8 and not making a manual gearbox available with the Sasquatch Package. The latter was rectified soon, and now there’s an official confirmation stating the same.
A user on Bronco6g.com forum attached an order guide for the 2022 Bronco that shows that the beefy Sasquatch package is available with the manual gearbox. Not exactly a surprise, but it’s good to have an official confirmation.
It’s Official: The Ford Bronco Raptor Is Coming in 2022!
After a lot of speculations and rumors, including a Ford employee spilling the beans on LinkedIn, we finally have an official confirmation – the Ford Bronco Raptor is happening! Ford didn’t reveal anything about the tougher Bronco version, but released a teaser video with the caption “Ford Bronco Raptor Coming In 2022”. Well, that’s enough to get us all pumped up, isn’t it?
A Modified Honda Grom Takes On An Old-school Tuned Ford Bronco
The guys at the Hoonigan YouTube Channel are known for pitting some truly ridiculous builds against each other, in their THIS vs THAT showdowns. It’s no different on this occasion either, with a modified 2015 Honda Grom taking on a tuned 1980 Ford Bronco.
Leaked Data Confirms the Ford Bronco Raptor’s Existence
Details about a new Ford Bronco Raptor have surfaced online. According to the Bronco6G forum, one of their members has submitted photographs of the Raptor’s page in Ford’s database: A new body code E5J was identified for the 2022 Bronco, which previously did not exist for the 2021 model. The page has since been taken down and is no longer live.
These details were most likely added by a Ford store employee. Importantly, there is a stated equipment bundle simply titled “Raptor.” As a result, this information appears to be evidence of this highly anticipated model’s existence and its impending arrival can now be seen on the automaker’s dealership network ordering software.

Ford Just Aborted the Ford Bronco Pickup Project That Never Existed
The way the Ford Bronco turned out, it feels like it was conceived with a sole purpose in mind – to kill the Jeep Wrangler. So, naturally, everyone expected it to target even the Gladiator, the Wrangler-based pickup truck, by eventually launching a Bronco-based pickup truck. But, as it turns out, the rumored truck is canceled and the Gladiator will live to fight another day.
The Ford Bronco Is No Match For The Jeep Wrangler 4xe In Drag Races
The Ford Bronco has been at the Wrangler’s throat ever since it was conceptualized. Targeted to take it on from all the sides, the Bronco came out all guns blazing. However, Jeep has made some smart and methodical strikes to some of Bronco’s most vulnerable areas that have skewed the results back in balance. For starters, there was the announcement of the V-8 Wrangler hours before the Bronco’s much-anticipated debut. Then there was the adoption of electrification in the form of the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid. While you can get the V-8 conversion, you can’t get a plug-in hybrid setup installed on the Bronco, thus giving the edge to the Jeep product.
While the off-roading prowess of the Bronco is as good as – if not better – than the Wrangler 4xe, the on-road performance is not. To test this out, the folks at The Fast Lane Car decided to test this out by pitting the two for a series of straight-line races.

Hennessey, the famous Texas tuner and producer of some absolutely insane automobiles, adds another special edition to its repertoire, this time based on the Ford Bronco. Do We Have A Shelby Bronco On The Horizon?
The Bronco Nation uploaded a video of a 2021 Ford Bronco taking on the 2021 Shelby GT500 SE on a race track on its YouTube channel. The Shelby GT500 SE was piloted by Shelby American’s CEO, Gary Patterson, whereas, Shelby Hall, a rising off-road racer, was behind the wheel of the Bronco. While the race was arbitrary, it was all about the wordplay here and the last few seconds that hinted at a Shelby Bronco being in the works. The details are scarce at this point, but this 90-odd second video has stirred the pot!
Ford Could Be Working on An Electric Bronco, But When Will We See It?
There are a ton of speculations out there about famous products and their future. The new Ford Bronco hasn’t even settled in yet, but there were talks about its future already. While some prefer having discussions amongst their peers, some folks decide to question the head of the company about it. A Twitter user questioned Ford’s President and CEO, Jim Farley, why there’s no Bronco EV yet and the boss hinted that there is one already in the works.
The Ford Bronco Has A Little More Heart Than Expected
Ford denied us the pleasure of driving a powerful V-8 Bronco, but it looks like the automaker is covering it up in different ways. Or, another way to look at it is Ford is rewarding the customers for taking longer than expected to deliver the Bronco. What the reward is, you ask? Well, you will be getting more power in your Bronco than the initial specs. This will be the case with both, the four-pot and the V-6 mills. Exciting news, isn’t it?
Ford Gatecrashes Moab Easter Jeep Safari With Four Bronco Concepts
How can one forget the day the new 2021 Bronco was launched! Ford had all the momentum for the grand unveiling, but Jeep decided to play a spoilsport at the last minute. Jeep announced that the Wrangler will be launched with a V-8 engine, just hours before the Bronco was supposed to debut. Now, whether you call it a tactical move or Jeep just being a baby, there’s no denying that it must have Ford off quite bad.
Less than a year later, Ford decided to invade the Easter Jeep Safari by bringing four Bronco-based concept models to Moab and steal some attention from Jeep and its concepts.

Born out of the sheer need and desire to push boundaries, Big Oly wrote history at Baja 1000, where it came out victorious two years in a row, in 1971 and 1972, with further victories at the 1973 Baja 500 and Mint 400. Mind you, this was not your run-of-the-mill Ford Bronco.
The 2021 Ford Bronco as a Street Rod? Chip Foose Thought of It
Ford’s plans with the Bronco involve selling a lot of aftermarket bits and bobs on top of the actual cars. This is a move inspired by what Jeep has been doing with Mopar and going further, it is possible that some customers might decide to tune their Broncos to ever greater extents. For those, Chip Foose has an interesting design proposal.
The Ford Bronco Sport Can Be Equipped With Five Accessory Bundles For More Outdoor Fun
To make sure that the Bronco received a positive response, Ford had prepped to unveil it with aftermarket accessories right from the beginning, with a plan to have over 150 accessories at launch. This was a page right out of Jeep’s playbook, a brand known to sell hundreds of aftermarket parts for every model. To make sure owners have no dearth of products to customize the Bronco and Bronco Sport as per their taste, the company has now launched five more bundles for the latter.
This Bronco 4600 Ultra4 Is What The Bronco Was Meant to Be From The Start
Ford has unveiled the Bronco 4600 race truck series that will take part in the Ultra4 Class races. This comes following the three 4400 rally class Broncos that the automaker showcased earlier this week. The Bronco 4600 will not be street legal, of course, but it comes with a plethora of equipment that can make you go weak in the knees. Ford has noted that it will be based on the two-door Bronco with the V-6 engine.
The Ford Bronco Was Apparently Raised By Goats And We’re Not A Fan
As far as origin stories go, the Ford Bronco’s genesis is as weird as it gets. No doubt, Ford wants to integrate the SUV’s “Goes Over All Terran” (G.O.A.T.) driving models into this commercial, and it did just that by adding goats into the tale of the Bronco’s birth. The ad is strange in so many ways that you might as well believe it if you’re the type to believe that such a scenario — a young, injured colt getting raised by goats — actually happens in this fair world of ours. But it is a commercial, and every commercial’s goal is to get people to talk about it. So, in a roundabout way, Ford’s “Raised by Goats” commercial for the Bronco succeeds in its intended objective. We’re talking about it, albeit with plenty of raised eyebrows and confused looks.
Ford’s Late Delivery of the 2021 Bronco Is Sending Would-Be Customers to Jeep
Ford unveiled the 2021 Bronco in a grand fashion and received an overwhelming response. There was a lot of pressure on the automaker to create a product that was good enough to go up against the very well established Jeep Wrangler. Ford managed to pull it off and people loved the Bronco - the 190,000 reservations it received prove so. But, with constant delays, it looks like people are losing patience and Ford is suddenly losing customers to none other than Jeep.
The 2021 Ford Bronco Might Be Awesome, But It’s Also Delayed
The 2021 Ford Bronco had a great debut. The leaks before the launch gave away enough for speculations to bumble, but still maintained the surprise element. The hype generated by Ford’s PR was “built to last”, and when it finally debuted, it came with ample features to be touted as an extremely desirable proposition. The company rolled out the configurator, too, so people could spec their Broncos in time for the spring deliveries. But, it looks like the wait is going to get inevitably longer.
Ford announced that due to the pandemic, the Bronco’s launch is pushed from the spring to the summer of 2021.
The Baja 1000 Just Let the SCG Boot Prove That It’s Infinitely Better Than the Ford Bronco R
Ford entered the off-road Bronco prototype, the Bronco R, at last year’s Baja 1000 and it took a lot of people by surprise because the Bronco was not unveiled yet. It couldn’t complete the race, but it managed to add to the ongoing buzz surrounding it. This year, the Bronco R completed the race, but couldn’t beat its rival, the SCG Boot. The SCG Boot just scored its second consecutive Class 2 victory despite a punctured tire during the run. Is the Boot on the verge of becoming a legend in the Class 2 category?
2020 MAD Ford Bronco Sport Badlands Overland Concept
Ford’s recipe for its 2020 SEMA Auto Show lineup was simple. Use popular models in the lineup, give them concept makeovers, and let everyone know about all the custom tuning possibilities that can be done to these models. It doesn’t come as a surprise that, in addition to the Ranger and the F-150 trucks, Ford chose the Bronco to its SEMA lineup and created two concepts out of the returning nameplate. One of these concepts is called the MAD Ford Bronco Sport Badlands Overland. Ford teamed with MAD Industries to create this concept, which shows the capacity of Ford’s newest SUV to be as adept in the outdoors as it is on concrete roads. It’s a dream-come-true concept for Bronco fans who have been clamoring for ways to customize the Bronco and turn it into a legitimate 4x4 off-roader.
2021 Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch 2-Door Concept
The Blue Oval is preparing to unveil a variety of custom builds, including the Bronco Badlands Sasquatch 2-Door Concept. Created to showcase the Bronco’s modularity, the concept highlights what amounts to the Bronco Badlands’ ability to act as an urban ride on weekdays and off-road marauder on weekends through the glory of swappable components.
The Bronco Badlands Sasquatch 2-Door Concept will be revealed alongside Ford’s other SEMA offerings during the Ford Auto Nights webcast that starts at 8.PM. tonight.
Ford Didn’t Even Bother To Check if the Coyote V-8 Would Fit in the 2021 Bronco
When the Bronco was unveiled, a lot of us were disappointed by the absence of a V-8 mill. But, we still had hopes that it could become a reality someday. However, Ford made it clear that a V-8 will not be offered here. Although we had our deliberations, this confirmation from Ford served as the final nail in the coffin.
It has now come to light that Ford was sure about not offering one right from the start. In fact, it even built the Bronco without bothering to check if a V-8 engine could be plonked in or not! Speaking with Ford Authority, Bronco’s Chief Engineer, Eric Loefller said that they hadn’t even given it a shot during its development days.
2021 Ford Bronco V-8 VelociRaptor by Hennessey
The only chink in Bronco’s armor is the missing V-8 engine under the hood. Although Ford matched the Jeep Wrangler in every aspect, dare I say, even better in some, the lack of a V-8 will be a deal-breaker for some folks. However, aftermarket tuners have grabbed on to this opportunity. PaxPower was one of the first companies to announce a Bronco V-8 and soon many companies jumped the wagon. The latest one to do so is Hennessey Performance.
Hennessey has announced that it will be building a VelociRaptor version of the Ford Bronco with a V-8 mill that will churn out 750 horses. This will be a limited-edition build and will cost around four-times the cost of a standard Bronco. Is it worth it?
2020 Ford Bronco Wildland Fire Rig Concept
Post the big debut, the Ford Bronco and its urban-alter ego are busy with various other activities. The Bronco Sport recently won the 2020 Rebelle Rally in its category in stock condition, and now Ford has announced the Bronco will don the emergency vehicle outfit to support the National Forest Foundation.
Ford has teamed up with Filson, an outdoor outfitter, to develop the Bronco Wildland Fire Rig Concept. It is customized with firefighting equipment and Ford will donate two examples for the cause.
Would You Have Preferred The Bronco With A Foldable Windshield?
Although the Ford Bronco checks most of the boxes, and then some more, there are a few rather noticeable things that are missing. One is the V-8 engine, which looked like it could feature somewhere in the future, but Ford confirmed that’s not happening.
The second one is the foldable windshield. When the Bronco was unveiled, it came with almost all the stuff that is offered on the Wrangler as well, but it was conspicuous by its absence. Ford has now thrown some light on it citing compromised construction as the reason for it not being offered.
2021 Ford Bronco Overland Concept
The all-new Bronco has looked very impressive on paper so far and has matched the Wrangler is almost every aspect. But, in its quest to beat the leader of the pack, the biggest question still poses in front of it – can it be accessorized and fitted with various parts and equipment like the Wrangler? Well, Ford has answered this by revealing the Bronco Overland Concept. Does this make Ford’s reincarnated product look versatile?
Drain Me Up, Scotty: This Is How The 2021 Ford Bronco Gets Rid of Interior Water
The brand-new, 2021 Ford Bronco is more than just a hauler to drive around in. Just like the Jeep Wrangler, the Bronco was conceived with off-road capability in mind and the right specs will enable it to climb muddy and rocky trails with ease.
Do that without the doors into place and the interior will get dirty, but this isn’t much of an issue since it’s the kind of vehicle you can clean with a hose. And because the Bronco’s floor is fitted with no fewer than 10 plugs, draining the water out of the cabin is not a problem.
This Trivial Complaint About the Ford Bronco Confirms How Entitled People Are In 2020
Air conditioning is not a ‘feature’ in cars anymore. It’s available from the entry-level cars to the most expensive ones. The only thing that differs in cars across the range is the availability of rear A/C vents, automatic climate zone, multiple-zone control, etc.
When Ford launched the Bronco, one such feature that didn’t made the cut was the conventional rear A/C vents as seen in other cars. Although it didn’t seem like a deal-breaker considering its niche, some people have been nitpicking this feature to a point where Ford had to address the “issue” and shed some light on it. This goes on to show how entitled people are these days.
Ford Adds The Sasquatch Package To Models With Seven-speed Manual Transmission
After what was a rather dumb move on Ford’s part, the company has officially confirmed that it will be offering the seven-speed manual gearbox with the Sasquatch Package. When the company announced this off-road package, it checked all the boxes and made even the lower trims off-road worthy. But, the only thing missing was the manual gearbox, and it didn’t go down well with potential customers. Fortunately, Ford heard them and decided to offer it before it was too late. We’re happy now.
There Might Not Be a Ford Bronco Raptor, But There Will Be a Bronco Warthog
News about the Ford Bronco Raptor has been heading in the right chronology until now. We first heard hushed talks about sparked the news, then some leaks here and there with a few spec details, then an “error” by a Ford engineer on Linkedin, and finally some confirmation on what to expect from the Bronco Raptor. But, it looks like there’s a twist in the story.
Ford recently filed a trademark application for the ‘Warthog’ moniker, and netizens believe it is going to replace the Bronco ‘Raptor’ badge. The application doesn’t anything of that sort; so, are we reading too much between the lines?
Quit Dreaming - A V-8 Ford Bronco Just Isn’t Going to Happen
In all honesty, the 2021 Ford Bronco has ticked all the boxes and it shows how much Ford has worked to make it a purposeful and near-flawless product. However, one thing creating a vacuum is the missing V-8 under the hood. Ford has offered a four-cylinder and a V-6 engine on the Bronco, but not a V-8. Now, the company has answered the question once and for all, and the truth is that there is no V-8 Bronco in the works.
Speaking with Muscle Cars and Trucks, Ford has indirectly laid the final nail in the coffin by saying that a V-8 Bronco is unlikely to happen, thanks to the emission regulations.
1981 Ford Bronco Montana Lobo Concept
At the 1981 Chicago Auto Show, Ford unveiled a rather unusual concept called the Montana Lobo. It seemed too radical for its time and felt as though it was taken straight out of a sci-fi movie. It broke all the perceptions associated with a rugged off-roader like the Bronco. The company came up with this unusual concept to get in the flow with the growing popularity of smaller pickup trucks and SUVs. Although it didn’t make it to production and none of the ideas or design elements were incorporated in the future models, the Bronco Montana Lobo goes down in the history books as one of the most interesting concepts Ford has ever built.
New Details For the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor Confirm What We Already Knew
When Ford Bronco was finally unveiled a couple of months back, it looked quite complete and had ticked almost all the boxes. Almost. The one unticked box that kept the off-roader enthusiasts wanting more was the super-rugged Raptor version of this competent off-roader.
It didn’t take long for the news to start pouring in which more or less confirmed that the Bronco Raptor is arriving soon. If that wasn’t enough, the LinkedIn profile of a Ford engineer came to light where he mentioned that he was working on the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor.
Even though Ford hasn’t officially announced the Bronco Raptor yet, there are quite a few things already known. Now, Ford Authority has reported them again, which confirms the things we already knew.
Amazing Car for Sale: 1969 Ford Bronco
While the new Bronco has been in the news ever since its launch and the majority of people seemed to have liked it, the old Bronco still enjoys a healthy demand. Any first-gen Bronco that hits the pre-worshipped market has people going gaga over it.
Here is one such 1969 example that arrived on Bring-a-Trailer a few days back and already has people lined up ready to get lay their hands on it. This SUV already has 22 bids and the highest bid stands at $43,500 at the time of writing.
You May See the Ford Bronco R Baja Racer Again Soon
Ford surprised a lot of people by entering the Bronco’s prototype at last year’s Baja 100 race. As a marketing strategy, it paid off even if it failed to finish the race. People kept talking about it for a long time, even though they weren’t good things. Ford’s Communications Manager, Mike Levine, had tweeted after the Bronco R’s unsuccessful stint that Ford will be back for next year’s event; and, guess what? The company is staying true to its words.
Ford recently admitted that the automaker is open to selling the Bronco R as a turnkey project truck to race teams as long as people are willing to buy it. Will it be successful in its second attempt?
New Evidence Says A Ford Bronco Raptor Will Debut in 2022
Alright, we get it – anything that carries a Ford badge and can go off-road be offered in extreme Raptor trim. You can’t knock the brand- it’s no worse than dodge cramming a Hellcat V-8 into almost anything FCA sells (we’re still waiting on that Pacifica Hellcat, though). So, naturally, before the 2021 Bronco even made its debut, the world was expecting a Raptor version to cross the intersection at one point or another. Obviously, it wasn’t going to happen right away, but new evidence has come to light that says that a Ford Bronco Raptor will launch for the 2023 model year – that means we could see it as soon as mid-2022!
Tuners Beware: Ford Has Digital Walls to Prevent People from Altering the Bronco’s Computer
Much like the Jeep Wrangler, the 2021 Ford Bronco is designed with customization in mind. The company is even offering more than 200 accessories for the Bronco when it hits showrooms, but powertrain upgrades might not be possible via aftermarket means. According to Ford, the ECU is very complicated, and, essentially, nobody should be playing around with ECU calibration. That means aftermarket companies might find the new Bronco to be untunable.
This 2021 Ford Bronco With Wood Trim is Oddly Mesmerizing
The return of the Ford Bronco isn’t your typical automotive comeback. The SUV isn’t just making a comeback as a nameplate; it’s become its own sub-brand under Ford. More to that, the Bronco has captured the attention of the SUV world in ways few of its kind have been able to do in the past. That’s especially true when you look at all the renderings that have come out, specifically those of the “Woody” variety. Woody Broncos are all over Instagram, including this piece of work from artist Timothy Adry Emmanuel, who goes by the IG handle “adry53customs.” Emmanuel has an impressive catalog of car renderings on his Instagram page, ranging from Volkswagens to RAM pickup trucks. But his work on the Bronco is something else, at least if you’re a fan of the “woodie” car style that was all the rage in the previous century. We don’t see woodie’s these days anymore, but Emmanuel’s rendering is a perfect call back, not only to the Bronco but to the woodie car style as well. Put those two elements together, and the result is nothing short of impressive.
Sorry, Europeans, No Ford Bronco For You
On the onset, the new 2021 Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport appear to be a big hit for the blue oval. In the first three weeks after its reveal, North American consumers have made more than 165,000 reservations – something that appears to be a first for Ford. Of course, those reservations only required a refundable, $100 deposit, but for now, things are looking great the new Bronco. But it’s not all peaches and cream and, as it turns out, the Bronco and Bronco Sport are going to be absent from a major market. The worst part is that you can blame the government and you’d likely be right for once.

Watch The 2021 Ford Bronco Conquer The Hell’s Revenge Trail In Moab
We recently saw the Ford Bronco conquer the Rubicon Trail and now, it has reached Moab, Utah, to prove its mettle on an even bigger stage. Hell’s Revenge is one of the toughest off-road ‘circuits’ and is recommended only for veterans. There are a lot of steep climbs, slick rocks, and whatnot, and Ford decided to test the Bronco here too. Two videos were uploaded by The Bronco Nation on its YouTube channel and you can see the all-new off-roader conquer this trail successfully with ease.
