Sausage curbs aren’t very old in F1. For those of you wondering what they are, sausage curbs are the little ramps on the sides of the track. These curbs are there to discourage drivers from running wide, but lately, they’ve been under the scanner for not being particularly safe. Many people are in favor of it, but there’s also a large chunk that believes sausage curbs need to go. So, is it really a boon or a bane to drivers?

For the longest time, I’ve refused to acknowledge the Mach-E to have the Mustang spirit. But, it looks like I’ll have to change that now. The Mach-E just gave us solid proof that it has the Mustang DNA by failing a moose test that its rivals passed without breaking a sweat. The Mach-E swayed across and fishtailed its way into the cones at the first turn. The original Mustang must be smiling with tears in its eyes looking at the Mach-E.

Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton’s rivalry took an ugly turn – quite literally – when the former’s car ended up landing on Hamilton’s head. The two collided at Monza’s tight first chicane. If not for the halo – the protective titanium hoop – things could’ve gotten very ugly for the Mercedes driver. Well, the good thing is at least he’s safe and alive.

The Nurburgring plays host to a lot of cars. Whether it’s for sport, for testing, or for casual spins around the track, there’s always something going on in the Ring. That includes car crashes. As exciting as it is to see cars do laps around the track, there’s also a reason why the Nurburgring is oftentimes referred to as the “Green Hell.” Watch this video and find out why car crashes occur as often at the Nurburgring as fast laps.

It seems a lot of people love watching car crashes on YouTube, especially when they are from racetracks. With this in mind, one YouTube channel has definitely found its niche. The channel Auto Addiction frequently uploads videos from the most challenging racetracks in the world – the Nurburgring.

Every automaker that builds road-going cars has to comply with the same safety standards in every market their vehicles are sold in. That means that even small companies like Koenigsegg must meet the same standards as mass-production companies like Chevrolet, Ford, Mercedes, and the like. Well, for these massive companies, crashing 10 $30,000 dollar cars isn’t a big deal – it’s relatively cheap in the grand scheme of things, and it doesn’t hurt inventory numbers in any way, shape or form. Most companies even allocate a certain number of vehicles to crash testing. For Koenigsegg, though, the company only builds a handful of cars and the process is nowhere near as simple as it is for Chevy to build a Cruze of Mercedes to build an A-Class – everything is custom, everything is expensive, and crash testing even one model could be a very expensive, even disrupting ordeal to the company. But, the solution is really a simple one – Koenigsegg crash tests the same car over and over again.

Watching a car travel 40 miles per hour straight into a barrier often results in the car getting walloped, but what if that same car was going three times faster at 130 mph and then slams into a stationary bus? The results are indescribable, but we do get to see the scene unfold before our eyes courtesy of YouTube channel Bri4ka.

The video isn’t in English so it might be a little difficult to follow. Fortunately, the visuals that you’ll see are about as straightforward as they can get. The objective is clear, too. A remote-controlled second-generation Opel Omega and a decommissioned city bus are the sacrificial lambs in this test. At the very least, the test gives us a glimpse of what can happen if a car traveling twice the speed limit in the U.S. hits a parked city bus. Before you watch it, be advised that the results are unspeakably destructive.

Online trending challenges have become the rage these days. Some challenges like the Ice Bucket Challenge caught one because they were tied to a larger and very important cause. Other challenges like the Tide Pod Challenge were stupid and dangerous and should never have even started. Somewhere between those two challenges lies the “drop your car challenge.” Nothing about this challenge served a higher purpose, but there’s also nothing dangerous about it. The purpose of this challenge is simple: show off your car. That’s it. It’s an ultimately harmless exercise that revolves simply letting everyone see what your car is. Or at least that’s what we thought until we saw this photo of a Chevrolet Corvette C8, or whatever’s left of it. This is a different interpretation of the “drop_your_car_challenge,” and, unfortunately, it’s not a very pleasant one.

Just because the rooftop parking lot is empty, that doesn’t mean you can just go there and do donuts to your heart’s content. Sure, the empty space is great for these burnout runs, but the debauchery can also go sideways at a moment’s notice, especially if you’re not careful. Two people found that out first-hand when they went to an empty rooftop parking lot, intending to leave rubber in concrete. After doing a serious of burnouts, the driver inexplicably loses control of his rear-wheel-drive ‘Stang, causing the muscle car to slam cleanly into a light pole. Worse, the whole bone-headed scene was captured on video by a couple, who were also at the rooftop parking in their own Mustang doing whatever it is they were doing. Fortunately, the driver and passenger of the crashed ‘Stang didn’t appear to get seriously hurt from the crash. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for their prized ‘Stang, which now has a long date with mechanics before it gets back up on its feet, or, in this case, all four wheels.

The McLaren Senna is without a shadow of a doubt among the single craziest road cars we’ve ever seen. Boasting active aerodynamics, the sort of stuff that isn’t even allowed in racing, the Senna is more than just a 720S on steroids. With 790 horsepower on tap coming from an upgraded version of the 720S’ V-8, it’s menacing to drive, and that’s still the case even if you’re a former Formula 1 driver as Adrian Sutil apparently found out over the weekend when he rammed a lamp post with his Senna. What gets us to tears is that the car isn’t even a normal Senna, instead, it’s a Senna LM of which only 20 exist.

For many, the Ferrari F40 is still representative of Maranello’s finest hour, a 471-horsepower winged monster designed to squash its opposition at every corner while completely disregarding the needs of the driver and passenger.

Ferrari only wanted to make a handful of them to mark its 40th year in the business but the orders poured in and, in the end, over 1,300 cars were made. Looking at this F40 that ended up in a ditch somewhere in Australia that’s a good thing.

A lot of car crashes happen at intersections. Here’s the latest example that has come to light. A Ford F-150 jumped a red signal and crashed into a Tesla Model 3. Thankfully, this wasn’t a fatal crash, and in fact, the Model 3 held up pretty well. Even though it wasn’t a high-speed crash, a truck crashing into a sedan from the side can get devastating. Along with the front camera view, the Tesla owner also released a video that shows the crash recorded by the Tesla’s side camera.

While we were nicely tucked in inside our homes doing our best to cope with isolation, some random dude decided it’s a good idea to take his 1 of 25 Gemballa Mirage GT out on the empty streets of New York.

Nothing wrong here, of course, as long as he remained within the confines of the law. Which he didn’t, causing him to end up crashing into multiple vehicles.

The bird is finally out of the cage. The secret is out in the open. Too dramatic, right? Well, it looks like some folks have figured out how to activate the Dyno mode on the Tesla Model 3.

When activated, this mode disables all the safety systems so that the car can be tested on the dynamometer to its full potential. The company never officially announced the feature, but an EPA finding revealed the hidden gimmick to the public. Although the company hid it so that people couldn’t misuse it, the cat is now out of the bag. Is this good or bad for Tesla?
