In Another Universe, Alfa Romeo Is Owned by Volkswagen
Alfa Romeo, as a brand has been dying for years, and it seems that no matter what happens, things just keep getting worse. The move from bad to worse seems to have started right around the time that the revival of both the 8C and GTV nameplates was cancelled, right around the same time that FCA – before the Stellantis merger, of course – started skinning it to the bone as the 4C Spider landed on the chopping block. By 2020, the Giulietta was discontinued and we were promised a new compact electric SUV in 2020. Now, under new leadership, Alfa Romeo is discontinuing the Giorgio platform, and more recently announced a plan that included delaying models like the Tonale and raising prices – a weird move for a company that can’t sell vehicles to save its life. Things could have been a lot different if FCA sold Alfa to Volkswagen. In fact, the opportunity was there twice in the same decade.
A Whole Lot of Stupid: Watch An AMG C63 Drift Into Disaster While Endangering Lives
When you have a Mercedes-AMG C63 at your disposal, what do you do? Pamper it? Take it for drives and have some fun? Well, a few folks thought it would be a good idea to put it through hell and remind people that there is no dearth of stupidity out there. YouTube channel Speedster404 uploaded a video of some sort of a ‘get together’ wherein the C63 can be seen getting abused in ways that a human brain can’t comprehend.

Tesla Driver in Canada Earns Criminal Charges After Sleeping With Autopilot Engaged
A strange incident happened in Canada recently involving a couple of people, two seats that were “fully reclined,” and a Tesla Model S that was driving 140 km/h (87 mph) on Autopilot. As a report from Canada’s federal police goes, a Tesla Model S driver was cited for a dangerous driving charge after he was caught sleeping with his seat “fully reclined” as his Model S was running at high speeds on one of the country’s highways. The Alberta RCMP was alerted of the incident by a commuter who noticed that both front seats were completely reclined, and both occupants appeared to be sleeping. Responding officers pursued the self-driving electric sedan until it stopped. In addition to the dangerous driving charge, the driver also received a speeding ticket for deciding to take a nap while he was on the road. As stories of Tesla’s Autopilot systems go, this one ranks up there as one of the most surreal incidences involving Tesla’s self-driving technology. Fortunately, the driver’s recklessness didn’t result in any car crashes or accidents, only a few punishments for his unparalleled recklessness and inanity.
Is It Justified To Beat People To Keep Them In Their Houses During the COVID-19 Lockdown?
A lot of countries have locked down and governments around the world are doing their best to contain the coronavirus pandemic. There is a lot of fake news circulating too, like the false rumors that Russia has let out 500 lions on the streets to make sure people don’t step out of their houses. Just like many other nations, India, too, is in the midst of a lockdown, but what we’re about to tell you isn’t fake news.
As is with any country, there are some rebellious folks who think it is okay to go against the tide. To teach them a lesson, the Indian Law Enforcers have resorted to violence. The cops are ruthlessly hitting people with sticks and canes. Do you think this is acceptable?
Fail of the Week: Nissan 350Z vs Dumb Girl
So what we have here is a Nissan 350Z with a Rocket Bunny Body kit, sans a front bumper, looking, well, ugly. Now, usually, this would be something that you just dismiss after seeing – the owner probably just didn’t know how to drive and lost his front fascia trying to drift. But, instead, the owner – and what we assume is his girlfriend – decided to take the amount of dumb to astounding levels. “Let me do a backflip on the roof, she said.” And, so it was. She climbs on top, sets up like she’s a professional gymnast, and proceeds to do said backflip. It was at that very moment that it became painfully clear that this girl wasn’t a professional gymnast. A professional gymnast would have landed in the same place she started. This girl however, penetrated that poor 350Z from behind in the worst of ways. Intrigued? Well, we’ve watched it quite a few times and can’t quit laughing, so check it out for yourself:
The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Had Its First Public Crash
Chevrolet’s highly-teased, highly-discussed, and highly-covered 2020 Corvette C8 has been making headlines since the beginning of the year. And most likely, it won’t stop here. However, when we mentioned “making headlines” we didn’t mean “making headlines because of a crash.”
Ferrari Is Threatening to Sue Someone Over Something Stupid...Again
There are companies and brands that are protective of their trademarks and properties. Then there’s Ferrari. The Italian automaker is known far and wide for being extremely protective of its intellectual property to the point that it will go after anyone who uses its logos and trademarks for their personal use, especially if the use of said logos and trademarks do not reflect Ferrari’s standards. The latest to feel Ferrari’s wrath is German fashion designer Philipp Plein, who received what amounts to a “cease-and-desist” letter from Ferrari’s attorneys, demanding the removal of photos Plein took of one of his signature sneakers on top of his Ferrari 812 Superfast. The photo was posted on his Instagram account, and Ferrari was none-too-pleased about it.
Basketball Star Stephen Curry Is Now Designing Cars...Sort Of
Just because you’re one of the best in the world at hitting threes in the NBA, that doesn’t mean you automatically become a good, even decent, car designer. Stephen Curry is living proof of that. The two-time NBA MVP, who also happens to be a brand ambassador for Infiniti, “designed” this concept monstrosity known as the Infiniti QXzero Concept. It’s an ugly concept, and that’s putting it lightly. The good news is that this isn’t an actual showpiece Infiniti; it’s part of an elaborate prank that Curry and Infiniti pulled on one of the MVP’s best friends, COSeezy. So while it is a bit of a relief to learn that Curry’s automotive design chops weren’t at all compromised by this horrendous three-wheeled showcase of ugliness, the QXzero Concept is still a reminder to all of us that just because there’s a “concept” designation attached to it, that doesn’t mean it’s going to be any good, even if it’s all part of an elaborate jig.
Ferrari Just Sold 5,000 Calendars Because They Smell Like Ferraris
Are you still coming to grips with Subaru’s Japanese curry? Well, don’t spend too much time on it because there’s a new product making the rounds that makes the thought of Subie selling you packets of curry seem like a sound idea. This, dear friends, is a limited edition calendar from Ferrari. It’s limited because there are only 5,000 copies made. But its biggest selling point isn’t the fact that it’s limited, but because it’s scent-enhanced to reflect the smell of a Ferrari. Wait, what?
Poorly Secured Trashcan Goes Rogue on the Highway
We are all familiar with flying objects on expressway drives; but that involves bugs, birds, or sometimes, pieces of paper. This poor lady, however, saw a trash can approaching her car at warp speed and we got to say, it gave us a mild heart attack just watching it.
Idiot Gets Instant Dose of Karma as He’s Ran Over by the Honda Accord He Stole During the Police Chase
Isaiah John Gellatly was the unhappiest man in Happy Valley, Oregon, when his attempt at stealing a run of the mill Honda Accord ended with jail time and a broken leg after he was run over by that same Accord.
Yes, that is what actually happened on Monday night in a quiet Oregon neighborhood that was suddenly turned on its head by a police pursuit. While injuries coming as a result of a police pursuit aren’t something that’s unheard of, the way this particular guy got his is what makes the story fit perfectly in a Leslie Nielsen movie.
For Some Reason the Chinese Don’t like that "New Car Smell" So Ford is Working on a Solution
I’ll try to be as humble as possible: What is wrong with people these days? How can someone NOT like new car smell? According to a study, one out of ten Chinese people dislike the new car smell. While it may seem erratic and should just be ignored, Ford is actually working to eliminate this from its cars! This is just weird.
A German Teenager Lost His License in the Time it Takes to Watch One Episode of House of Cards
An 18-year-old German teenager found out first-hand that just because you get your driver’s license, it doesn’t mean you can lord over the open road with impunity. Less than an hour after receiving his license — 49 minutes, to be exact — the teenager was flagged by a laser speed gun while traveling at almost twice the speed limit. The teenager was caught in the town of Hemer driving at speeds of 60 mph. That doesn’t sound too fast, especially in a place like Germany, but unfortunately for the young colt, the speed limit on the road he was driving on was 30 mph.
Semi Driver Smacks Two Overpasses, Loses Cargo on the Highway
One of the most important things to pay attention to when you drive a semi truck is where you can and, more importantly, where you cannot fit your truck. This video shows a best-case scenario of what can happen when the driver is oblivious to all of that and splatters his load on the road.
Picture yourself driving at night, during a rather sizeable storm, when the trucker ahead of you drives below an overpass that’s clearly not tall enough to clear his load. Would the sparks flying off the truck placed on the truck’s bed keep you on your toes? What if the trucker kept at it, ignoring the shower of sparks in his mirror and hit the edge of the next overpass as well? Seems like the script of B movie? Well, real life is the source for this wacky footage..

From the crazy awesome to the crazy clueless, here you can find a bit of each.
Watch an Unbelievably Lucky Bus Cross a Bridge it was Never Meant to Cross
A 35-ton bus managed to cross the historic Beaver Bridge in Arkansas that had a 10-ton weight limit. The bus driver may be pumping his chest at his perceived achievement, but it really was more a case of outright recklessness that could have turned a lot worse had the bridge not collapsed. The bridge had been closed for inspection after the fact but has since been reopened. Kudos to the engineers of this bridge.
Tesla Model S Driver Rams Into A Nissan SUV Despite Autopilot’s Warning
This is the latest Autopilot crash; but it wasn’t the system’s fault. A couple, who was too busy engrossed in something else other than focusing on the road, rear-ended a Nissan SUV despite the system warning and chiming its brains out. How can one trust a machine blindly?
