The refreshed Tiguan comes with new face, new tech, but the same old engine under the hood
The Tiguan is almost 15 years old and it won’t be wrong to say that Volkswagen has been a little slow to update it as per the segment standards. The second generation came out in 2016 and the German automaker milked the design for almost four years before bringing out the facelift. The 2021 Tiguan is the typical mid-cycle refresh one would expect. It comes with slightly revised aesthetics, new tech features, and also some announcements about newer offerings with the product lineup.

The Time Is Near: Death Is Coming for Volkswagen’s Manual Transmission
It looks like the last hour has come for the manual transmission at Volkswagen. Since VW is basically on the road to electro-mobility and is saying goodbye to the combustion engine, it is also inadvertently saying goodbye to the manual transmission.

Fresh Looks, New Tech, and Electrification Spearhead the Many Changes of the 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan
It’s been almost four years since Volkswagen launched the second-generation Tiguan, and the crossover was just unveiled with a mid-cycle facelift. The Tiguan was mildly revised inside and out, but there’s big news in the form of a plug-in hybrid model, a performance-oriented R version, and a new AWD system with selective wheel torque control. Let’s find out more about all of that below.
2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Black Style R-Line Design Package
Volkswagen is rolling out a special new package for the Tiguan. It’s called the Black Style R-Line Design Package, and it’s made up of aesthetic upgrades for the automaker’s resident crossover. The Black Style R-Line Design Package is available with the Tiguan’s Comfort and Highline specification packages. It costs €3,365 in Germany, though the price could go up if you want to upgrade your wheels. That’s about $3,840 based on current exchange rates.
2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Offroad
Volkswagen has revealed the new Tiguan Offroad. It is a new version of the super popular compact crossover now drizzled with features and solutions that make it far more suitable for off-roading tasks than before. Revealed at the Moscow Auto Show, the Tiguan Offroad brought numerous improvements over the standard Tiguan which grant the small Volkswagen with some capabilities that I would only expect from SUVs and vehicles that actually intend to go where the road ends in the first place.
The Volkswagen Tiguan was left to go stagnant on the market for 10 years after its launch, with Volkswagen finally giving in to introduce the second-gen model for the 2017 model year. It was, in fact, significantly more attractive, more modern than ever, and even had all the right technology. Be that as it may, once successful Tiguan isn’t doing quite as well on the U.S. market as VW would really like. So, as part of the SOWO show in Georgia, Volkswagen has debuted four new concepts, one of which is the Tiguan R-Line Areo Concept. It’s the most aggressive, stylistic, and attractive Tiguan we’ve ever seen. And, it sits excessively low to the ground – something that intrigues the low-rider in us and makes the Tiguan look like an oddly overgrown Golf with a cool wrap.
Volkswagen Showcases Four New Concepts at SOWO in Georgia
Volkswagen has a bit of a reputation for providing some pretty boring concepts, but the four new concepts it brought to SOWO this hear are cool as hell. Volkswagen says they represent the tastes of Volkswagen enthusiasts, which isn’t exactly a good explanation of why there’s so much bright yellow. What we have here is a modified Golf R, Jetta R-Line, Tiguan R-Line, and an Arteon R-Line, all with their own special way of standing out that is quite intriguing and refreshing at the same time.
2019 Volkswagen Tiguan PHEV/GTE
When Volkswagen debuted the second-generation Tiguan for the 2016 model year, it debuted alongside the Tiguan PHEV GTE Concept – a model that served as a preview for the upcoming Tiguan PHEV. Now, it looks like the production version of the Tiguan PHEV is about to make its debut as it was spotted with zero camo cruising around public streets. As you can see it’s not all that different from the standard Tiguan, but it does have its differences. If the concept is any representation of what we can expect, and it obviously is, the production model should deliver between 210 and 220 horsepower and offer up some 30 miles of all-electric range for those of you with a short commute.
Report: VW will Launch the T-Roc R, Tiguan R, and Arteon R Sometime This Year
As of the time of this writing, the Volkswagen Golf R is the only car offered by VW with an R badge. All of that is apparently about to change, as reports indicate that VW will be giving the R treatment to a big portion of its lineup, beginning with the T-Roc R, Tiguan R, and Arteon R. Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard this rumor, but there’s more to it.
2018 Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line
Introduced in 2007, the Volkswagen Tiguan became a rather successful compact crossover, selling more than 2.6 million units in 10 years on the market. But its design was starting to feel old, so Volkswagen launched the second-generation model in 2016. Boasting a more angular, sportier design, the Tiguan finally stopped looking like a shrunken Touareg and gained a slightly more upscale appearance. Alongside the new exterior design, VW also added a redesigned interior with new tech and updated gasoline and diesel engines. The second-gen model also revived rumors of a higher-performance model, but the Germans have yet to confirm a GTi-like version. Instead, the U.S. market got an R-Line trim, which was introduced at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Much like R-Line packages for other models, the bundle was designed to give the crossover a more dynamic appearance. The update is pretty much a visual thing, with interior add-ons limited to a handful of features. Likewise, the R-Line doesn’t increase performance, so you still have to wait for that GTi to arrive if you want an angrier Tiguan. You should also know that the R-Line package is based on SEL and SEL Premium trims, so it will cost you more than $30,000. Find out more about it below.

2018 Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace
Volkswagen officially introduced the Tiguan’s second generation to the U.S. at the 2017 North American International Auto Show while also introducing the world to the Tiguan’s long-wheelbase version. Volkswagen calls it the Tiguan Allspace, but that name will only be used in the European market where VW already sells the second-generation Tiguan in its short wheelbase form. Here in the U.S. and in China, the long wheelbase crossover will simply be known as the Tiguan. The extra space will bring a third row with two seats, making this A-segment crossover a seven-seater.
The second-generation Tiguan’s entrance into the U.S. is certainly welcomed. The previous Tiguan soldered on since its introduction in 2007 with only a minor facelift and update in 2011. Volkswagen is making up for the stagnant crossover with a major leap in advancement for the 2018 model year. The new Tiguan rides on VW’s new MQB platform shared with the Audi Q3, Audi A3, and VW Golf, among others.
The new Tiguan also boasts a digital gauge cluster, a slew of optional engines (no diesels in the U.S., obviously), and of course, the added room and passenger capacity thanks to the longer wheelbase. Volkswagen says it Allspace version adds 4.4 inches (11 cm) of length to the wheelbase, while the overall length grows by 10.7 inches.
It would be a gross understatement to say the 2018 Tiguan is an important vehicle for Volkswagen in the U.S. Crossovers are extremely popular these days and Volkswagen is scrambling to bring offerings to market. The new three-row Tiguan will join the all-new 2018 VW Atlas, a larger three-row crossover competing against stalwarts like the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and Ford Explorer. Volkswagen is undoubtedly hoping these new crossovers help erase Dieselgate woes from consumers’ minds, as well. Rumored plug-in hybrid models of these crossovers will surely help with that, too, though VW has yet to confirm such a powertrain.
There is plenty more to discuss about Volkswagen’s new Tiguan, so keep reading for all the info.

US Gets Longer Volkswagen Tiguan with Third-Row Seating Option
Launched at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show and produced since 2016, the second-generation Volkswagen Tiguan isn’t exactly brand-new in Europe. However, the crossover has yet to cross the pond to the United States, where it will go on sale in the summer of 2017. The reason for the delay is that North America will also get a long-wheelbase version of the SUV. Also known as the Tiguan Allspace, it just made its public debut at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show.
Based on the same MQB platform as the standard Tiguan, the longer version comes with a more spacious interior, a flexible seating arrangement and a few extra options. In Volkswagen’s words, the Allspace was engineered "specifically to meet the needs of American customers," which is a fancy way of saying that Volkswagen simply wanted a roomier competitor for the likes of Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX-5.
So what sets the LWB model apart from the standard Tiguan?
As you might have already guessed, it’s longer. At 185.2 inches long, the Allspace is no fewer than 10.7 inches longer than the regular version. The new dimensions also make it longer than the Toyota RAV4, which comes in at 179.9 inches. The wheelbase is also 4.4 inches longer than the SWB model and 5.2 inches longer than the RAV4. Quite impressive!
All those extra inches, which were added not only to the wheelbase, but to the rear overhang too, enables Volkswagen to add sliding second-row seats, with the option of a third row, eight passenger configuration. Those who don’t need third-row seats, will benefit enhanced legroom in the rear. The LWB model also comes with up to 57 percent more cargo capacity, but the company had nothing to say about how much cargo room is left with a third row. For reference, the standard model can take up to 21.8 cubic-feet with the rear seats up and up to 58.5 cubic-feet of cargo with the second row folded flat.
Design-wise, the Allspace is identical to the familiar Tiguan, save for the longer wheelbase, rear doors, and the slightly longer rear overhang. The D-pillars are also longer, while the quarter windows have been redesigned.
The crossover will come standard with front-wheel drive and Volkswagen’s 2.0-liter TSI gasoline engine rated at 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. 4Motion all-wheel drive will be available. Later on, the Tiguan will probably get more engines for the U.S. market. Pricing information is not yet available, but expect the Allspace to cost a bit more than the standard Tiguan sold outside the U.S.

2018 Volkswagen Tiguan R
The Volkswagen Tiguan is in some ways, a trailblazer in its segment. As one of the first of the modern premium compact crossovers to hit the market in 2007, the Volkswagen Tiguan opened the door for many of its rivals. The intentions may have been pure, but the results were anything but. That’s because for better or worse, the Tiguan hasn’t been as dynamic as Volkswagen intended it to be. You might even say that the crossover has languished in the face of increased competition, partly due to VW’s decision to keep the Tiguan’s design muted for the better part of its existence.
Now it appears all that’s about to change. According to Autocar, Volkswagen is preparing an onslaught of new crossovers and SUVs, beginning in 2016. The Tiguan will play a prominent role in this renaissance of sorts. To make things more interesting, there’s also talk of a range-topping performance variant that will combine a new design language with the company’s renowned R performance engineering. Nothing has been made official at this point, but Volkswagen’s timetable for its Tiguan family points to a 2017 launch for the R-badged model.
It’s also not yet clear whether the R will be based on the standard Tiguan or feature a revised body. Initial rumors pointed toward a coupe-style crossover, likely dubbed Coupe R, but such a launch would imply additional development costs for the German brand. More recently, our paparazzi caught a beefed-up Tiguan wearing the standard roofline on the Nurburgring, which suggests that Volkswagen is sticking to the standard crossover configuration. The coupe is not completely out of the question as stranger things have happened within the Volkswagen Group, but for now, this prototype is the only thing we have.
Check it out in our speculative review below and stay tuner for updates.
Updated 10/21/2016: Our spy photographers caught the upcoming Tiguan R out for a first testing session at the Nürburgring.

Once upon a time, it wasn’t uncommon to see concept SUVs that were essentially tougher and burlier versions of the domesticated production models. At first glance, the Volkswagen Tiguan GTE Active Concept seems to follow that template, but this trail-ready ride is hiding a
like soul.
Based on the second-generation Tiguan, Volkswagen’s latest show car is powered by a two-motor plug-in hybrid system. All-wheel drive is available in all of the hybrid powertrain’s modes, giving the Tiguan GTE Active Concept the ability to take you off the beaten path with minimal environmental impact. At the very least, a full-electric off-roader allows drivers to experience the sounds of nature! Beneath the surface, this concept is a thinly-disguised version of the next-generation Tiguan, which is due to arrive some time in 2017.

When it comes to hybrids, Volkswagen offers only three as of 2015. But that’s about to change, and the Tiguan GTE concept that will debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show proves it.
The third vehicle to receive Volkswagen’s new GTE badge, the Tiguan is also the company’s first plug-in hybrid SUV. Although just a concept car, the Tiguan GTE is most certainly set to become a production model and hit the market sometime in 2016, albeit without the innovative solar module integrated into the roof.
The GTE Concept will be unveiled alongside the second-generation 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan, which rides on Volkswagen’s MQB platform. Slightly bigger, but lighter than its predecessor, the new Tiguan lends its redesigned exterior and interior to the GTE. The concept does feature a few styling cues of its own, but more about that, as well as the crossover’s hybrid drivetrain, in the review below.

Volkswagen brought the Tiguan to the compact crossover market back for the 2007 model year, and since then it has been rather successful with more than 2.64 million units sold. At the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the all-new Tiguan was catching eyes like crazy as consumers were waiting for the 2016 Tiguan to hit the market. Highlights of the new model include more aggressive styling outside with a more dominate front fascia, and a slimmed down grille that fills the gap between both headlights. The side profile is more uniform, and overall the Tiguan is actually a bit larger than the outgoing model. Inside, the Tiguan received a digital gauge cluster and new infotainment software that brought Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into the mix. It even comes standard with safety features like City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Monitoring.
Competing against models like the Mazda CX-5 and the Toyota Rav4, the Tiguan makes use of VW’s new MQB platform that is used on models like the 2016 Volkswagen Golf and the 2016 Audi TT, to name a couple. The biggest benefit of the MQB platform is the ability for it to be modified as needed for a specific market. For instance, the U.S and Chinese-spec Tiguans have a longer wheelbase, while European models are just a bit shorter. It seems a little odd in saying it, but the truth is that the Tiguan is rather versatile, and the MQB platform is a perfect fit.
With that said, check out our full review below to learn about all the details surrounding the new Tiguan.

Volkswagen’s Tiguan was one of the first of the modern wave of compact crossovers. It was competent but somewhat forgettable, especially in light of that particular segment’s explosion over the past few years. There’s an all-new Tiguan coming soon though, probably set to appear at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and the test mules have already been spotted. Significant changes are in store for VW’s compact crossover.
Until now, prototype Tiguans have been seen wearing widened versions of the current body. These shots show a heavily disguised tester wearing the new sheet metal. From the look of it, the longer, wider and lighter Tiguan will share some of the muscular looks of the 2014 Volkswagen CrossBlue concept, with just a bit of Touareg thrown in to keep things familiar. A new grille and headlights are also discernible. The CrossBlue and 2012 Volkswagen Cross Coupe concepts seem to have provided a strong inspiration. With a production version of the CrossBlue also anticipated, this look could indicate the styling direction of all of VW’s utility vehicles.
Based on the size of the trailer the test mules have been seen pulling, the new Tiguan’s going to be a harder worker than the current car as well. There’s a good chance that a diesel option will be offered to North American customers for the first time. Volkswagen’s push to add TDI versions of most of its products suggests that it’s possible.

Volkswagen Tiguan received a first update at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show and surprisingly, no major tuning kits have been announced for the small SUV since then. Today however, German tuner, ABT Sportsline, announced a complete upgrade kit for the Tiguan that includes exterior and upgrades for nearly every engine in the lineup.
The exterior kit includes a new front grille, new door strip attachments and for the rear, a new skirt that hides the exhaust pipes and a new spoiler. The tuner is advising its clients to opt for either the ER-C or DR wheels, but CR alloy wheels are also available.
Under the hood, the tuner upgrades both the petrol and diesel engines. The 2.0-liter TDI version is tuned to 140, 170 or 195 horsepower (up from the standard 110, 140 and 170 horsepower). The 1.4-liter turbo version now delivers 160, 180 or 210 horsepower, depending on the version your Tiguan has. For the most powerful engine, the 2.0-liter TSI engine delivers either 230 or 260 horsepower.
Since its official debut back in 2007, theVolkswagen Tiguan has become the most successful SUV on the German market. So the fact that Volkswagen has already decided to offer a facelift for most of the line and as many accessories as possible shouldn’t surprise anyone. Joining the bunch is the availability of a new R-Line Package offered exclusively for the ‘Sport & Style’ equipment version.
For the exterior of the Tiguan, the R-Line package adds a black textured rear diffuser, aluminum door sill plates with R-Line logo, and another R-Line logo on the radiator grille. R-Design bumpers will also be painted in the body color, while the R-Line roof spoiler will receive matte chrome insertions. The final touch was given by a new set of 19" Mallory alloy wheels painted in"Sterling silver." For the exterior color, customers will get to choose between "Candy white," "Reflex silver metallic," "Deep Black pearl effect," "Night blue metallic," and "Pepper grey metallic."
For the interior, the R-Line package adds front sport seats, head restraints with integrated R-Line logo, and a multifunction steering wheel with aluminum accents and R-Line badge.
2012 Volkswagen Tiguan
After several years of lackluster sales, Volkswagen’s small, car-based SUV has finally taken off. With sales up nearly 30% over last summer’s sales, it seems customers have found the Tiguan endearing...finally.
With their mid-cycle refresh coming up for the 2012 Tiguan, it features a few upgrades. Things like park assist, ride control, and start/stop functions are a welcome (and frankly overdue) addition. The downside? Virtually none of the sweet tech upgrades will make it to U.S. shores citing cost reasons.
While the Tiguan is a great car, we think that when the complete model refresh happens (production should move the U.S. by that point), that will be the time to jump and snatch it up at a possible lower price.

The Volkswagen Tiguan has just recently received a facelift so it would make perfect sense for ABT Sportsline to revise the tuning package they prepared back in 2007. Their latest tuning kit includes a series of exterior and interior upgrades, plus plenty of engine upgrades for all the models in the line-up.
The exterior package refines the look of the SUV with a prominent front grill, door strips, and a rear wing set with a pronounced rear muffler. The tuner is also advising its clients to opt for a new set of DR alloys wheels in combination with high-performance tires.
So far, the package is a big fat yawn, but then we get into the modifications made under the hood. ABT Sportsline has taken the 2.0 TDI version and increased its output from 140 HP to 170 HP. They then followed it with the 1.4 liter turbo which jumped from 160 HP to 210 HP. If the power jump isn’t enough for these two engines, they succeeded in keeping the fuel consumption exactly the same. Although exact figures weren’t provided, we can’t say the same for the top version, the 2.0-TSI engine, which has received a jump from 210 HP to 250 HP. All of these updates were done by using ABT’s Power upgrade system.
After a very short history, it is only 3 years old, the Volkswagen Tiguan has already received a facelift version for the 2011 model year. Official debut will be made in a few weeks at the Geneva Motor Show, but Volkswagen has revealed the first details today.
Of course do not expect impressive changes, but the few made are really improving the car’s look. The new Tiguan gets redesigned headlights, a fresh grille, a new bumper and LED technology for for the headlights and taillights. Interior will also get improved materials and new technologies. Volkswagen announced no changes under the hood, so we expect to see the usual TDI and TSI engines.
In Germany the new Tiguan will go on sale at a price of 24,175 euro for the Trend & Fun version with 1.4 TSI 122 HP engine. The Tiguan has long been one of the most popular Volkswagens in the world. Its highest volume markets: all of Europe, Russia, USA, China, Brazil and Australia.
Despite our lack of love for these machines, they are cars that people love to buy, so we felt we had to rank our favorites, despite not really having a favorite. It’s more like a list from the vehicles we can’t stand to the machines we could tolerate.
In order to rank these crossovers we had to look at them in a few ways. The reason for buying one of these is practicality, safety, style, and comfort. That’s what the public is looking at. We, on other hand, will incorporate those with our own interests, such as speed, driving dynamics, and coolness level. All of these machines will cost under $30,000.
There are plenty to choose from, with options from Ford, General Motors, Honda, and Toyota. Not to mention the smaller companies like Hyundai and Kia who are creating better machines on a monthly basis. So, do these new boys have what it takes to take down the old veterans?
Hit the jump to find out.
Volkswagen is offering a new special edition for their best-sold SUV. Based on the "Trend & Fun" trim level, the new Tiguan Freestyle comes with Blue Motion Technology and a starting price of €24 925.

It gets an optional seven-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox and all-wheel drive 4MOTION system. The RNS 510 is available with newly developed off-road navigation as an option.

The Tiguan has decided to show us its rump! After seeing the front of the facelift version Volkswagen Tiguan thanks to a leaked brochure, today the next crossover has also revealed its rear. As a reminder, the facelift Volkswagen Tiguan will make its official debut in September at the Paris Auto Show.
While the front gets a restyled front bumper, new fog lights, an updated grille, and LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlights, the rear will only get LED taillight clusters. And like the previous photo, there will also be a new set of wheels. Basically, the back of the Tiguan is no different than the previous model so this view of the vehicle doesn’t exactly wow us at all.
Most likely the engine line-up will remain the same, with just a few updates made to improve fuel consumption. A hybrid version may also be in the works, but that model won’t be released for several years.
Production for the Volkswagen Tiguan started back in 2007 and although it may still be a relatively young model, it wouldn’t necessarily surprise us if it were to receive a facelift. It seems Volkswagen thought this would be a good time as well as they are already preparing a facelift version for the Tiguan crossover, for both the European and the North American market. The official debut is expected to be made in September at the Paris Motor Show. This news comes to us after a Tiguan brochure leaked its way to the internet last night.
The facelift version includes a restyled front bumper, new fog lights, an updated grille, LED daytime running lights integrated into the headlights, and restyled wheels. The new trademark face of Volkswagen is also evident in the pictures leaked. The interior will only see a change in the form of a simplified climate control system. The engine will also only see minor changes as Volkswagen makes alterations to improve fuel efficiency and decrease emissions.
The Volkswagen Tiguan will receive a number of minor powertrain upgrades beginning next month.
For the upgraded versions, Volkswagen is releasing a 2.0-liter TDI inline-four diesel engine with 110-horsepower that will be priced lower than the previous diesel variant. Similarly, a 121-horsepower 1.4-liter TSI will also be offered for those who prefer to use a gasoline engine instead of a diesel variant.
In addition to that, both types will also be given seven-speed dual-clutch DSG transmissions and will also use Volkswagen’s unique Bluemotion technology in an effort to curb fuel consumption and become more fuel-efficient. Lastly, Volkswagen will also be giving the crossover a new keyless access and push-button start/stop feature.
Press Release after the jump

Volkswagen is extending their lineup of compact crossovers with a new special edition model that offers owners a sense of personalized style straight from the factory called the Tiguan Track & Avenue. This customized VW Tiguan features a few subtle exterior modifications made from high quality materials like custom leather upholstery as well as a set of stylish split five spoke alloys measuring 19 inches in diameter to complete the CUV’s sporty look for the European market, and it starts at only 38,225 Euro.
The new Tiguan Track & Avenue can be had in either Oryx White or Island Grey but both with a glittering Pearl Effect in the clear coat to make these cars shine. But the real attitude comes in to play with the Tiguan’s off road inspired body parts, like a set of subtle wheel arches and a raked front bumper complete with polished aluminum skid plate that juts up at a 25 degree angle to take on whatever stands in your way. Speaking of knocking things over, it won’t be difficult thanks to the Tiguan’s 200 HP turbocharged 2.0 Liter TSI four cylinder or if range is what you are after there are also a pair of diesels ranging from 140 HP to 170 HP if alternative fuels are your thing. The best part about the new Track & Avenue is that the package offers a price advantage of over 2,000 Euro than if you optioned out the car at the dealer. How come they get all the good cars?

Don’t get too excited by the headline. Volkswagen is developing the Golf R20 with eyes on the U.S. market, but that’s not the R Line that this is about. Instead this has to do with appearance package cars like the Tiguan R Line.
The R Line Tiguan features a sportier design with lowered wheelbase, 18" or 19" wheels, matte chrome highlights, a small spoiler above the rear window. VW of America spokesman Steve Keyes told Inside Lines, "The R Line Tiguan is under consideration but no decision at this time."
If the Tiguan version makes it here, that may also open the door for other R Line cars from VW’s in-house customizers, Volkswagen Individual. While all this may seem promising, the estimated $36K starting price for a U.S. R Line would probably be a little high for a car that is only available with a 200 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine.
The German tuners B&B modify all things sorts of car from the Volkswagen Group that’s not available in North America (like Seats and Skodas). But one thing that we may be able to get our hands on is its Volkswagen Tiguan package. VW Tiguan commercial, only aired in germany so far:
The most powerful Tiguan yet, equipped with a new 2.0-litre TDI 170 PS common rail diesel engine, has now been released for ordering. Combining greater torque than a Golf GTI with the efficiency, lower emissions and refinement you’d expect from a modern diesel, the Tiguan strikes a balance between performance and economy.
This new common rail engine is capable of developing a maximum of 258 lbs ft of torque via a six-speed manual gearbox. As with the rest of the Tiguan range the new engine will route drive through an advanced 4MOTION system which can divert up to 100 per cent of drive to any wheel depending on the traction available.
The increases in both power and torque do not come at the sacrifice of either economy or performance. The new engine is capable of returning 40.4 mpg on the combined cycle while emitting 185 g/km of CO2. As you’d expect from the most powerful Tiguan to date the new Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI 170 PS Gallery: Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI 170 PS also assures that it’s the fastest. The vehicle can accelerate from rest to 62 mph in 8.9 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 125 mph.

The components are prepared for the installation of auxiliary high beams, available in a ready-to-install set.
