“Sensual Purity” Redesign Means The G’s Spirit Is Still Baked In
For the first time since its introduction 40 years ago, Mercedes has given the G-Class a complete makeover. But unlike other “makeovers” that plaster a new body onto an existing chassis, Mercedes went in the opposite direction.
The all-new 2019 G-Class retains its iconic looks while receiving a new, longer frame; independent front suspension; and an interior befitting the Mercedes S-Class sedan. And yet despite its modernization, the G stays true to its off-road roots. It comes with a full-time 4WD system, three locking differentials, skid plates, and proper ground clearance. Among the updates is a new G-Mode that further improves the SUV’s go-anywhere capability with electronic aids.
But let’s be honest – 99 percent of G-Class owners will never trek over anything more challenging than wet grass or a snowy road. That’s why Mercedes injected high levels of luxury into the new model. The wheelbase is two inches longer and 4.7 inches wider for a more planted on-road feel and more interior room. The G will undoubtedly be a smash hit around the world, even with its starting price of €107,040 in Germany – roughly $130,900 U.S. dollars.

Latest Mercedes G-Class news and reviews:
Is The 2014 Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 by Brabus Really Worth $1.1 Million?
The G-Class is one of the most iconic Mercedes-Benz models - there is no doubt about that. And for sure Brabus does the best work when it comes to updating Mercedes models. Launched back in 2013, the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 by Brabus made quite a sensation. But is it sensational enough for someone to actually think it is worth $1.1 million? At launch, it was priced from $430,000, so let that sink in.
2021 G-Power GX5M Bi-Turbo and GP 63 Bi-Turbo
Usually when you see a BMW and a Mercedes one next to the other is for some sort of competition. But, German tuner G-Power decided to stop the rivalry and get both the BMW X5 M Competition and Mercedes-AMG G 63 into the shop for some serious upgrades.
2021 Mercedes G-Class by Delta4x4
The G-Class is probably the only Mercedes-Benz that can offer you an amazing off-road experience. Actually, is probably one of the few luxury SUV that can do that. But, as you know there is always room for improvement and this is where delta4x4 comes into picture. The German tuner is offering an Off-Road package that will improve the SUV’s off-road capability.
2022 It Doesn’t Get Any Better Than The New Mil-Spec Mercedes G Wagen
Mercedes-Benz unveiled a new version of its legendary G-Class SUV. The W464 is specifically designed for military use and security forces. Customers and the press were given a preview of the SUV’s capabilities at the G-Class Experience Center in Graz, Austria which is where Magna Steyr builds the famed off-roader. The off-roader is part of the new 464 series that was introduced two years ago.
2021 Brabus 800 by Fostla.de
Last year, Brabus and fostla.de unveiled the Brabus 700 - a package based on the Mercedes-AMG G63 that delivered a total of 700 horsepower - as its name suggests. This year, the two companies took things even further and came up with the Brabus 800. As you guessed, this is also an updated G63, but with 800 horsepower under the hood.
2022 Mercedes EQG Concept
Mercedes went on an electrification spree at the 2021 IAA Mobility Show in Munich, Germany. One of the cars unveiled here was the EQG, the EQ electric equivalent of the legendary G-Class SUV, or more popularly known as the G-Wagen. The off-roader is one of the most iconic models ever built and is still going strong despite its boxy and old-school demeanor. In fact, that is the one thing that’s still attracting purists.
The company showcased the EQG Concept that follows a similar path, but with a lot of new tech. This is said to be a near-production concept, so we can expect the real deal to be revealed by next year, perhaps.
With The New Off-Road Trim, Mercedes G-Wagon Returns To Its Military Roots
The Mercedes G-Wagon is one of Mercedes’ signature vehicles. None of the other German premium carmakers have an analog to it. For decades the Mercedes G-Wagon has been every rich person’s favorite way of giving the middle finger to all “plebians mopping around in a Corolla or an Elantra”. The boxy SUV has been interpreted by many tuners, such as BRABUS, MANSORY, and others, giving it an aggressive design, and making it appealing to people like celebrities and drug dealers.
However, the boxy SUV has much humbler beginnings, as it was originally developed as a military vehicle. It seems Mercedes remembered that and decided to give us a G-Wagon that doesn’t mind getting dirty.
Mercedes G-Class Carbon Wide Track Edition by Kahn Automobiles
Kahn Automobiles is known for its radical builds, and this time, it has come up with one for the Mercedes G-Class. This special edition is all about carbon fiber treatment for the boxy SUV and it suits its demeanor. Adding pizzazz and oomph to the already desirable SUV, the Carbon Wide Track Edition by the U.K.-based tuner is exactly what you need to set yourself apart from other G-Class SUVs on the road.
Daimler Plots A Strategic Move To Strengthen AMG, Maybach, and the G-Class
Mercedes, as a company in general, has been on a roll lately – which is especially true when you look at its electrification efforts. The company now has the Mercedes EQA, EQB, EQC, and the EQS luxury saloon that will serve as a luxury EV halo car. The new EQ brand is obviously going very well, but what about other brands like AMG and Maybach? And, does the G-Class have a future considering the sudden shift to electrification? Well, as it turns out, Daimler – the parent company of Mercedes (and by relation, Maybach) – has huge plans, and this could change everything.
Battle of the Mercedes-AMG SUVs: Watch The V-12 G65 Take On The V-8 G63 On A Drag Strip
The Mercedes-AMG G63 is quite popular, but the G65, not so much. The automaker discontinued it in 2018, but offered 65 examples as part of the farewell ‘Final Edition’ before drawing the curtains on it. The folks at ArabGT managed to lay their hands on one of these 65 examples and pit it against the G63 Edition 1. Well, this is probably one battle that every G-Class enthusiast has always wanted. Do you think the G65, with its mighty 12-pot mill, can beat the eight-cylinder G63?
2021 Mercedes-AMG G63 900 Rocket Edition by Brabus
Brabus products are some of the most expensive aftermarket builds that you can buy today. If you can get anything south of half-a-million dollars, then it’s a bargain. The company specializes in Mercedes products and has created tens of iterations of its popular models in the past. But, one product that Brabus can’t get enough of is the G-Class. In all fairness, no one can get enough of it. So, can’t really blame Brabus here.
Anyway, the German tuner has come up with yet another G63 build, called the Brabus 900 Rocket Edition. It comes with an exclusive exterior shade, carbon fiber components on the exterior, and power boosts that make this boxy SUV sprint to 62 mph in under four seconds. How about that!
2021 Mercedes-AMG G63 "Gronos 2021" by Mansory
If ‘Mansory’ was an actual word, it would be defined as ‘quirky, offbeat, and outlandish’. That is exactly what all the builds by the German tuner are. Despite that, it is one of the most prestigious tuners in the world today. Mansory has worked on numerous exotic models and has given it a twist that will make you rip your eyes out. Yet, we enthusiasts keep coming back for more. Some sorcery this is.
Anyway, the company has rolled out another rendition of its favorite vehicle, the Mercedes-AMG G63, called the Gronos 2021. This is the tuner’s second stint with the moniker, the first one coming in 2013. The Gronos 2021 is as eccentric, unorthodox, and freakish as you’d expect a Mansory to beat. But, it’s all forgiven because it makes a buttload of power more than the standard AMG G63.
1990 Mercedes 250GD Wolf by Expedition Motor Company
The G-Wagen started life being a military truck and was later offered to us civilians as a hardcore off-roader that was matched by vehicles like the Land Rover and the Land Cruiser. The G-Wagen that we know today is fast and powerful, but back in its early days, it was brute and tough. Expedition Motor Company got hold of a 1990 250GD and restored it to perfection. As the company puts it, this is the story of how a rough ex-military war machine becomes a work of art.
2020 Lumma CLR G770 R
German aftermarket company Lumma has come up with a build for another luxurious SUV. The company has given radical twists to many vehicles in the past, including multiple iterations of the Audi Q8. This time, it’s the Mercedes G-Class that goes under the knife.
The German firm is known to design really wild creations, pretty much like Mansory, but this one – according to Lumma’s reputation – is a rather subdued customization. The conversion kit comes with a custom body kit and huge wheels amongst other things.
Chasing Whales: BMW X7 M50i Drag Races Mercedes-AMG G 63
A few years ago drag racing used to be a thing for muscle cars and supercars, as was development at the Nurburgring. Nowadays, most vehicles, including performance SUVs, are being tested on race tracks before production starts, and we can also see them running quarter-mile races.
Are drag races relevant for a massive, full-size SUV? Not really. But people still do it, simply because it’s fun. If you ever wondered how the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and the BMW X7 M50i compare in straight-line racing, the folks over at Track Day just ran a test.
2021 Mercedes-Benz G-Class 4X4
The Mercedes G-Class is arguably one of the best off-roaders to have graced our planet. Over the years, the company has equipped it with a premium interior and an exorbitant price tag, but it is still regarded as a hardcore off-roader and has a strong footing in the segment despite heavy competition. To further cement this perception, Mercedes created a hardcore version of the already-competent G-Class called the G-Class 4x4. The previous model’s production ended in 2017, but it looks like the monster is back.
The new G-Class 4x4 was spied undergoing high-altitude testing in the Alps and it looked a lot bulkier and monstrous than its normal self – especially the wheel arches – thus reigniting the news of the 4x4 making a comeback. Are we excited? Hell yeah!
Did You Know You Needed A DTM-Inspired Mercedes-Benz G-Class? Neither DId We, Until Now
What do you get when you throw Mercedes’ Chief Design Officer, Gorden Wagener, and Louis Vuitton’s Men’s Artistic Director, Virgil Abloh, in a room and task them with redesigning the legendary Mercedes-Benz G-Class? Our first instinct would be something like the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Laundaulet complete with a lavish, Vuitton inspired cabin fit for a movie star, but that instinct is completely off the mark as the result of this unlikely collaboration is something called ’Project Gelandewagen,’ and it’s more German Touring Car Championship than Hollywood Boulevard.
Watch A Mercedes-AMG G63 Take On The Lamborghini Urus In A Drag Race
Mercedes-AMG G63 is a legend in itself. The boxy, old-school design still appeals to a lot of people. It is mechanically strong and has a powerful mill as well. There’s also the Lamborghini Urus, one of the fastest SUVs in the world and arguably the automaker’s breadwinner in the present day.
So, what happens when you put the two against each other in a drag race? Well, the folks at Throttle House decided to do that. The Urus has the edge in this case, but there’s a catch. The Mercedes-AMG G63 makes over 700 horses on the wheels; about 10-percent more than the Urus. Will that skew the odds in the G63’s favor?
This Armored Mercedes-AMG G63 by Inkas Is the Definition of Protected Luxury
The Mercedes-AMG G63’s love affair with aftermarket companies continues. We’ve seen it being transformed into a pickup truck, a fast version, a themed version, and a whole host of other variations. This time, it turns into a glorified limo with an armored body; not Cybertruck armor, but actual armor. Inkas, a Canada-based company that’s known to armor passenger cars has morphed a 2020 G63 into a luxurious SUV that can take anything thrown at it - quite literally.
2020 Mercedes-AMG G63 by PerformMaster
The Mercedes-AMG G63 is turning out to be quite popular with the aftermarket tuners. We’ve seen builds from companies like Carlex Design, Wald International, Brabus, Mansory, and many others in the past.
This time, another company has laid its hands on the luxurious, boxy SUV. Germany-based PerformMaster has given the G63 a twist that includes a few cosmetic changes and a power bump that pushes it over 800 horses. Is this enough to set it apart from other customized builds?
2020 Mercedes-AMG G63 Brabus 700 By Fostla.de
Brabus is known to customize and give the vehicles it works on a unique twist. Its favorite bunny, the Mercedes-AMG G63, has been transformed into many different iterations. One of them is the Brabus 700. The aftermarket company later tweaked it again with a small performance boost and some exterior upgrades that resulted in the 700 Widestar. Now, another German company called Fostla.de has laid its hands on the Brabus 700 Widestar to give it its own twist. This pattern will make Christopher Nolan proud.
2020 Mercedes-AMG G63 Yachting Edition by Carlex Design
The Mercedes-AMG G63 is a popular SUV among enthusiasts and aftermarket companies alike. This time, Carlex Design Europe has laid its hands on the boxy beauty and gave it a special treatment.
Called the Yachting Limited Edition, this design is a “marine version of the iconic Mercedes G63 AMG” as Carlex puts it. The company has made a few tweaks to the exterior, but most of the changes come inside the cabin. With all the light-shade leather and wood trim on the interior, it looks pretty neat, doesn’t it?
This Drag Race Sports a Very Different-Minded German Car Lineup
Carwow are known to push the boundaries of what a fair drag race means but, hey, we’re allowed to have some innocent fun from time to time, right?
In this new four-way duel, the BMW M340i Touring (that’s the wagon, by the way) meets the likes of Mercedes-AMG G 63, Audi RS Q3, and Volkswagen T-Roc R.
2020 Mercedes-AMG G63 Sports Line Black Bison Edition by Wald International
Wald International is known for its bold and aggressive builds. The Japanese tuner has worked on many popular models in the past, such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Porsche Cayenne, and even the little Suzuki Jimny.
This time around, it has laid its hands on the legendary Mercedes-AMG G 63 and named it the Sports Line Black Bison Edition. It is based on the model sold from 2016 to 2018. The company has made significant changes while retaining the boxy SUV’s essence. However, these changes are limited only to the exterior, as Wald International hasn’t tweaked the interior or anything under the hood. Even though the Black Bison Edition comes with aesthetic upgrades, will it sit well with the purists?

Watch an Older AMG G63 Prove Its Off-Road Dominance Against a VW Touareg and Lexus LX
The Mercedes-AMG G63 is an icon in itself. Although it is one of the toughest SUVs both on paper and in real-world conditions, there aren’t a lot of videos that show the G63’s true potential. The SUV is a complete package but being an expensive and rather unique ride, you can see it either club hopping or doing urban commutes. However, here’s a video showing two G63s doing what they were born to do – playing off the roads.
This G-Class Pickup Rendering Reminds Us of What the Mercedes X-Class Should Have Been
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is the second most long-serving car in Daimler’s portfolio, outranked only by the tougher-than-a-tardigrade Unimog. For that reason alone, we believe that the X-Class pickup truck should have been based on the Geländewagen in the first place. Sadly, Mercedes-Benz went asking for help from Nissan.
2020 Mercedes-AMG G-Class Star Trooper Pickup by Mansory
Mansory is a premium aftermarket company that has designed some pretty good vehicles in the past. The cars that it has unveiled lately, however, seem to tell a different story. Check out the audacious Lamborghini Urus Venatus or the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Coastline to know what I mean. But, now, the company is back to working on its favorite vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
In 2019, Mansory worked on the Mercedes-AMG G63 to create a Star Trooper edition of the legendary SUV. The company has now created a pickup version of the same Star Trooper SUV with a few more touches. Did Brabus inspire them to do this? The Star Trooper has been designed by Mansory in collaboration with Phillip Plein.
Can an Electric Mercedes G-Class Live Up to its 40+ Year Legacy?
The Mercedes G-Class is the epitome of iconic vehicles – it’s big, boxy, luxurious, and capable of going just about anywhere. Sales of the G-Class, especially with the launch of the newest generation, has skyrocketed, and one is forced to wonder if it’s because people love it for its capability and iconic design, or is it because it states true to what old-school SUVs were all about – driving excessive amounts of fuel and looking boxy while it does it. Either way, we’re about to find out the answer to that question. Following confirmation that the G-Class would go electric a while back, we’ve now learned that work has officially begun an electric G-Class.
2020 Merecedes G-Class 800 Adventure XLP by Brabus
Another auto show and Brabus comes up with another vehicle. This time, the aftermarket company has come up with the so-called Brabus 800 Adventure XLP that is based on the Mercedes-AMG G63. That’s right, the SUV with a pickup bed is debuting at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.
The prestigious aftermarket company is known for its ability to make your pocket a lot lighter once you’ve bought its products and this time also it’s no different. The Brabus 800 Adventure XLP features exquisite exterior and interior cues and a powerful mill under the hood. Despite the changes, does it warrant a sticker price of over half-a-million dollars?
The Suzuki Jimny Squares Off With the Mercedes G-Class in an Epic Off-Road Challenge
The Suzuki Jimny has been considered as the common man’s Mercedes G-Class for a very long time now. Other than the boxy looks and off-road abilities, these two cars are completely different from each other.
While the G-Class is a legend in its own right, the little Japanese SUV has been winning hearts all over the world for its quirky, almost cute looks. Although a lot of parallels are drawn between the two, have you ever thought about what it would be like to pit them against each other? The guys at Motor1 Italia decided to take up the challenge and see who the off-road king really is.

Watch The Mercedes-AMG G63 Go Up Against The Range Rover Sport SVR in a Tug-of-War Battle
It’s time to move on from the Cybertruck versus Ford F-150 tug-of-war duel. Unlike that war with an anti-climax, here’s one that will actually give you a closure.
The folks at Carwow brought along two unlikely superior SUVs in a battle of tug-of-war to determine who is tougher one. One on side, we have the iconic Mercedes-AMG G-Wagen, and on the other side there’s the Range Rover Sport SVR. While the latter is a tough-looking new breed, does it have what it takes to trump Mercedes-Benz’s raw-power, rich-heritage SUV?
A Suzuki Jimny Takes on the Mercedes G-Class and Jeep Wrangler - Who Wins?
This is the ultimate battle of the boxy off-roaders. The folks at Carwow pitted the Suzuki Jimny, the Jeep Wrangler, and the Mercedes G-Class against each other in a series of off-road tests to determine which off-roader would actually come out triumphant. Although all the three SUVs share similar styling cues – the boxy design mostly - and are pure off-roaders at their core, they cater to different customer bases altogether. Which SUV do you think won the battle?
1992 Mercedes 250GD Wolf by Expedition Motor Company
Mercedes G-Wagen is a legend in itself. It started off as a military vehicle, but has been in production since 1979. The SUV is adored by people all across the globe, be it the older models, or the latest. Here’s one classic 1992 G-Wagen that has been restored by Expedition Motor Company. The restomod is a good project as a wholesome and we are quite happy with the result. The SUV has literally been ripped apart and everything its chassis is new. Let’s take a look at how it has turned out.

Your Desk Needs This Mercedes-Benz G-Class Scale Model
Japanese clothing brand BAPE joined forces with German toymaker Schuco to launch a very special die-cast Mercedes-Benz G-Class that would turn your desk’s coolness level up to eleven. The collaboration will see a camouflage-covered G-Class scale model debut on May 18.
Remember Supercar Blondie? This is one of her rivals, 26-year-old Sophia Calate from Germany who’s amassed almost 43,000 followers on Instagram and now poses on a brand-new Mercedes G-Wagon powered by the 3.0-liter, six-cylinder, diesel. The result? An even better-looking Tirolean scenery.
The brand-new G-Class was unveiled last year and we all know it’s bigger than ever before while retaining the classic boxy appearance. But have you ever noticed how good it looks in cherry red parked on the Austrian snow next to a lake? As Sophia correctly points out in her Instagram post that has effortlessly collected over 4,000 likes, the name of the color is actually "Designo Hyazinthrot metallic," and it’s quite unusual for the G-Wagon, which is usually seen in funeral shades of silver or black.
The G350d is less bonkers that the V-8-engined AMG model although it still packs 283 horsepower and 442.5 pound-feet of torque, enough to send this block of metal from 0 to 62 mph in just 7.4 seconds and then on to a top speed of 123 mph. Inside, the G now has big screens on the dash and, in the middle, there are the controls for the faultless 9-speed transmission. You still, obviously, get three locking diffs which are very useful if you too want to tackle the Austrian mountainside this season.
Sophia asks in her post, "would you drive this as a Diesel?", and we’re passing this question down to you! Send your thoughts in the comments section below.
How Do You Drive a 2019 Mercedes G-Class Though Mud?
Mercedes-Benz started 2018 strong by unveiling the new G-Wagon that’s pleasantly similar to the old one. However, with its bigger proportions and a clientele that’s likely never to leave the asphalt jungle of the inner cities, you may be inclined to think that the new G-Class is a lesser off-roader than before, but you’d be wrong. Jessi Combs shows you in this video how you should tackle a mud puddle and, frankly, it’s very easy in this SUV.
The G-Wagon is, truly, an evergreen machine: the exterior looks almost identical to the original Steyr-Daimler-Puch-built version unveiled in 1979. The same rugged edges, round headlights, horizontal grille, and short overhangs. But, the new model is more luxurious, bigger, and more intelligent than ever before. Its Sahara-trekking DNA is intact, though, as it comes with permanent AWD and three full-locking differentials.
Pricing for the All-New 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63 is Here and It’s Not Cheap
Mercedes-AMG has announced pricing for its much anticipated new G63, and we better warn you that it is a wee bit expensive. The famed boxy performance SUV will come with a six-digit price tag of $147,500. Did your eyes just pop? Yeah, ours too.
11 New Retro-Styled Cars Available Today
Retro styling done right in the automotive world can result in a car that buyers instantly feel drawn to because they remember the original from their childhood. Granted, if done wrong, it can look really hideous and out of place, but you won’t find any of those here.
When mainstream manufacturers do it, they spend a lot of time and money to get it just right, and it really shows. Many of these retro-styled cars are bought first and foremost for the way they look, but they are actually just good cars overall. I’ve assembled the ones you can buy new right now, in the list after the jump.
2018 Mercedes-Benz G-Class G500 by Brabus
The Mercedes G500 is the latest Mercedes model to get the Brabus treatment. Ok, so that’s not really saying a lot, but in the past week, the German tuner has gone into overdrive, releasing one Mercedes tuning program after another. The Mercedes-Benz E 63 S and the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S already got their turns. Now, it’s the G500’s time in the spotlight, and in true Brabus fashion, the aftermarket prescription is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Liberty Walk has a Body Kit for the Mercedes G-Class and the Suzuki Jimny at the Same Time
Suzuki hit the jackpot with the overachieving Jumny when the lastest generation made its debut. Everybody adores it. It is a car that you could proudly drive to a car meet, and people would gather around to witness the awesomeness of a raw, off-road ready, tiny machine from Japan. Liberty Walk saw an opportunity with the Suzuki Jimny, and they released a new body-kit. Yup, a Liberty Walk body-kit for the new Suzuki Jimny. We live in an awesome time.
You know what? The body kit is much the same as what one could order for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. It looks similar. It is not sized as such, of course, but it’s strikingly similar. As I noted in my first review about the Jimny, this one is much like a baby G-Class.
As Liberty Walk gearheads obviously live deep within car stardom, they revealed two similar kits for two similarly awesome cars that are dramatically different in size. This is actually the first time that Liberty Walk devised a body kit for a truck - one for the G-Class, and the other for the Jimny.
2018 Mercedes-AMG G 63 by Inkas Armored Vehicles
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 is one of the most unique vehicles in the industry today. Part off-road marauder, part luxury box on wheels, the G 63 cuts an identity of its own that’s far different from what we’re used to from other SUVs. Knowing that makes what Inkas Armored Vehicles did to the AMG G 63 a little easier to understand. The company known for building armored cars took a stab at the AMG G 63, and as you might expect, the results will blow your mind.
2017 Mercedes-AMG G65 Recalled For Being Too Fast
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz G65 is so fast that the company has recalled all the 20 copies sold in the U.S. to electronically limit it. Shocking? Well, it’s too fast when going backward. The German SUV is so powerful that the speed limitation of the reverse gear might fail, and allow the car to speed away in the excess of 16 mph. If any abrupt changes are made while steering, “the vehicle could become unstable which could lead to a vehicle rollover, increasing the risk of injury to the vehicle’s occupants.”
SUVs and trucks practically replaced sedans and wagons. Heck, they are so popular now that some manufacturers make three-door versions of SUVs, something that has never worked well. Nevertheless, this year has seen a fair share of SUV and truck releases, but as with everything else, some are more important than others. I present to you five best and most important truck and SUV debuts so far this year.
The Mercedes G-Glass Could be offered in AMG 63 S and Maybach Forms Soon
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is unique among all Mercedes models. It’s the only one of its kind in the German automaker’s lineup that’s able to balance an off-road identity with sporty and luxury goods surrounding it. It could also evolve into a model that plays into those two latter characteristics. That’s the word coming out of G-Class product chief Dr. Gunnar Guthenke, who hinted that a hotter S version of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 and a Maybach G-Class could be in the works.
Mercedes decided to give the new but old-looking G-Class the AMG treatment for 2018, effectively bringing the AMG G63 into the fold. The hand-built 4.0-liter takes on the “Hot-V” design and delivers a cool 577 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed auto handles shifting duties and routes power to the full-time 4WD system. Despite the fact that it is essentially the boxiest vehicle on sale today, it can manage to hit 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and will top out at 149 mph, if you’re brave enough to pin the accelerator to the floor for that long. It’s not a cheap model, though, so I’m sure some of you fantasize about it on a daily. So, why not snag up one or two of these hand-picked wallpapers to spruce up your home or work desktop?

Think Your Ride Is Pretty Cool? Check Out This Ice-Cold Mercedes G-Wagen
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class has quite the reputation. Combining classic off-roader capability under the skin, a tall, boxy, iconic exterior style, and more opulence than a Malibu mansion in the interior, the G-Wagen is often a top pick among celebrities and well-heeled buyers looking to make a statement. Merc just dropped details on the latest 2019 model year for the G-Class, prompting some buyers to eye the options list in anticipation of delivery later this year. However, one Russian man from Siberia decided to play it cool and put together his own G-Class using – you guessed it – ice.
The man’s name is Vladislac Barashenko, and he just so happens to own a custom car shop, an asset that undoubtedly went a long way to helping him put together this ice box. Under the chiseled skin is the drivetrain of a Soviet-era UAZ-469 military jeep, which helps to give it the appropriate off-roader vibe. Meanwhile, on the outside, the icy body is lit by a series of LED strips that give the machine a multi-colored iridescent glow. It’s also got built-in GPS, as if you drive too far south, it’ll melt.
Indeed, this thing brings a whole new meaning to the term “slippery looking.” Check out the video to see it in action.
2019 Mercedes-Benz G-Class
The G will undoubtedly be a smash hit around the world, even with its starting price of €107,040 in Germany – roughly $130,900 U.S. dollars.
