The Mitsubishi Mighty Max was sold in the United States between 1986 and 1996, being one of the first models brought from Japan.

The vehicle had a pretty strong build quality and was especially appreciated for its reliability and the simple mechanics.

The Mitsubishi Mighty Max was available with either two wheel drive or four wheel drive configuration and was fitted with a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine which develops a maximum output of 116 hp.
The truck was discontinued in 1996, when it was replaced by the new Mitsubishi Raider that was based on the Chevrolet Dakota.

The Mitsubishi Raider was a small pickup truck sold on the US market. The vehicle was basically a rebadged Dodge Dakota with oversized fenders and a few other small modifications.

The Raider was among the first models sold by Mitsubishi on the US market, but it was never a best seller.

The vehicle was available in three configurations including Extended Cab 2WD, Double Cab 2WD and Double Cab 4WD. The five-passenger Extended Cab model has a 6.4-foot bed, and the Double Cab models come with a 5.3-foot bed.

Unlike the Dodge Dakota which comes with optional strong V8 engines, the Mitsubishi is available only with one 3.7 liter V6 engine which develops 210 Hp. At least Mitsubishi offers a five-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, compared to Dodge’s three-year/36,000-mile comprehensive coverage. Though, Dodge still continues to remain on top, as it provided a lifetime warranty for the powertrain.

The first pickup trucks constructed by Mitsubishi were designed solely for utilitarian purposes. Since 1996 however, things started to change a little bit and the old Triton (also known as the L200) truck was now suited for family transportation too.

The Triton was still a working-class truck, but thanks to its high versatility it started to be used as a lifestyle vehicle.

The fourth-generation Triton was sold until 2006, when it was replaced by the new model but during its lifespan, it was among the best pickups you’d find around.

The Mitsubishi Triton range included ute models, chassis cabs, club cabs and dual cabs. The vehicle was also offered with either 2WD or 4WD configurations.

The Mitsubishi L200 is around from some time now, but even since its inception the vehicle was considered a strong and reliable vehicle. Apart from its work horse character, the Mitsubishi L200 has also a pretty unconventional design which is a perfect combination between dynamism and practicality.

The vehicle is available in both chassis cab and pickup versions with single-, extended- and double-cab configurations. Worldwide, the L200 is highly appreciated and in UK is the best sold vehicle in its class.

The chassis cab version of the L200 leaves behind all the bells and whistles of the lifestyle models and offers a rugged and basic work horse able to get the heaviest jobs done without worrying about broking a nail or two.

The first generation Mitsubishi L300 was launched in 1968. During its lifetime, the van was continuously improved and the fourth generation is around since 1996. But, despite its numerous upgrades, the van still looks dated and the newer generations continue to keep the dusty air their predecessors.

The vehicle has a payload capacity of up to 1000 kg and it’s powered by a reliable 2.4 liter petrol engine mated on a five speed manual gearbox. The latest L300 offers the choice of short or long wheel-base, a tiny turning circle and sliding doors on either side.

Despite it dated looks, the fourth generation L300 continues to be sold on some emergent markets and its rugged character and low costs of ownership are highly appreciated by many drivers.

The Mitsubishi MINICAB MiEV is a new electric van presented by the Japanese manufacturer in 2011. The vehicle is based on the conventional Minicab CD van, but unlike its donor which is sold only on the Japanese market, the MINICAB MiEV van will be also available on the global market.

Mitsubishi has announced that it is developing a plan to produce a version of the Minicab-MiEV for Suzuki in Japan, but this model will be sold only in its home market.

The MINICAB MiEV comes with a choice of two batteries that offer different cruising range. The batteries are mounted under the floor to maximize load volume, while the motor inverter and other EV components are placed under the cargo compartment. The vehicle has a payload of 350 kg which is basically the same capacity offered by the fuel powered Minicab CD Van.

The MINICAB MiEV was initially launched in Japan with an MPSR ranging from $ 30,800 to $38,200.

Automotive Testing and Development Services (ATDS) has made a comparison test between the Mitsubishi Fuso and Isuzu NPR-HD.

Both vehicles were loaded with 14.490 lbs and were tested under identical conditions over a 97.4-mi. course in various driving situations.

Mitsubishi declared that after the test, the Fuso scored fuel consumption of only 12.331 mpg which was better with 8.45% than the Isuzu NPR-HD that has achieved a fuel consumption of 11.370 mpg.

Mitsubishi declared that the test was conducted in accordance with SAE J1321 Type II Fuel Consumption Test procedures, and included multiple runs conducted over several days. It removes the partiality of internal tests and unreliable results of internal OEM testing.

In the past year we have heard from customers telling us of improved fuel economy compared to their EPA07 engine Fuso trucks and measurable fuel cost savings,” said Mike Rumsey, VP of Sales. “Now we have irrefutable proof that the Fuso Canter will deliver better fuel economy than the comparable Isuzu product configured with the EPA 10 engines. This report shows a tangible savings in operating costs and further reinforces the decision of a prospective buyer to choose Fuso.”

Mitsubishi’s range of heavy duty trucks received recently a host of upgrades which make it able to deal better with the competition. The truck received new engines, new transmissions and a host of useful features, most of them being based on Daimler’s products.

Thanks to the new upgrades, the Mitsubishi Fuso Heavy has made an important step forward, being closer to the requirements of today’s transport industry.

Mitsubishi’s Fuso Heavy range includes two models namely the FP and FV models. The trucks come with a choice of three diesel engines and with GCM (Gross Combination Mass) ratings between 40.000 – 58.000 kg.

Mitsubishi’s medium duty truck was built with versatility in mind and is available in a wide range of version with GVMs (Gross Vehicle Masses) ranging from 10400 kg-24000 kg.

The Mitsubishi Fuso fighter has undergone a full model change in 2009 when it received a more comfortable cabin and a host of technical upgrades to make it able to compete with success against its rivals.

The truck is offered with a choice of two engines which develop 177 or 199 hp with maximum torques of 686 Nm and 785 Nm respectively. The interesting part is that recently the Fuso Fighter’s transmission lineup was completed with an Allison automatic unit which is now offered together with the manual gearboxes.

The Mitsubishi Fuso Canter received a radical makeover in 2011. While the model was initially launched only with two wheel drive traction, shortly after it was followed by an all wheel drive variant. The vehicle is available in two versions including the single cab and crewcab models with 3 or 7 seats and a wheelbase length of 3415 mm and 3865 mm respectively. Depending on the model, the chassis load capacity ranges from 3500 kg to 3735 kg, offering a higher degree of versatility. The Mitsubishi Fuso Canter 6C18 has a permissible gross weight of 6.5 tones which gives it rough carrying abilities.

The Daimler owned Fuso Canter is the best selling truck in the company’s lineup and it has a starting price of $55,854.
