Arash Farboud

Arash’s last production car was the AF10 - a hybrid supercar with a horsepower claim of 2,080 horsepower. But that was back in 2016 and nothing really happened with the supercar since then. Then, back in June 2021, Arash revealed the Imperium - an electric hypercar concept that was suppose to be a preview of the future.

And now, that future has arrived. Arash announced the AFX - an electric hypercar that will take on cars like the Lotus Evija, Rimac Nevera, and Pininfarina Battista.

The Arash AF10 was the first model produced after Farboud Limited changed its name to Arash Motor Company LTD. It made its public debut at the MPH Motor Show alongside other models from the likes of Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, McLaren, and Maserati, to name a few. That AF10 was powered by a 7.0-liter V-8 that was sourced from a sixth-generation Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and had a Graziano GT-ME1, six-speed manual transmission. The car put out 550 horsepower, 475 pound-feet of torque, and was capable of hitting 205 MPH. All told, the British supercar builder did well with this beast, but for the Geneva Auto Show this year, Arash has stepped its game up big time.

This year, Geneva marks the debut of a new Arash AF10. As far as the body goes, there are some changes, but the overall design is still recognizable as an AF10. See, the big change for the 2016 model comes in the form of available power. It still comes from the Corvette, but now it’s the updated 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 from the C7 Corvette Z06. Arash didn’t leave it alone, juicing the V-8 to 900 horsepower. Arash then added what it called the "Warp Drive." I’ll go into specifics about that later, but this hybrid powertrain that makes the old AF10 seem slow by comparison.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, I’m sure you’re as excited to read about the new AF10 as I was when I first heard the news. So, let’s take a gander and talk about the new AF10 that will debut in just a couple weeks in Geneva.

Car paparazzi extraordinaire Shmee150 recently paid a visit to Arash Motorcars, proving once again that when it comes to sniffing out the fastest machines on the planet, this guy is one of the best in the business. His latest video is more like a 30-minute episode of diving into everything and anything that has to do with one of the most highly regarded niche supercar builders in the world.

Speaking with Arash Farboud himself, the two discussed, among other things, the company’s latest pride and joy, the AF8 supercar.

It’s already known in and out of the industry that the AF8 is one shiny piece of metal and carbon fiber with matching performance credentials to boot. The floor of the supercar is actually made from Kevlar-carbon composite to provide “ballistic” protection against stones and road debris, and lest we forget, the AF8 is powered by an insane, GM-sourced, LS7 7.0-liter V-8 that produces 550 horsepower, enough to push the AF8 to 200 mph.

There’s more to just the discussion of the AF8 in this video so we’re advising everyone to watch the whole episode to get a full idea on how Arash has established itself as one of the finest exotic car builders in the world.

Friday was February 28, 2014, and if you are a fan of boutique supercar makers, you likely remember that as the date that Arash revealed its all-new supercar. Well here it is, folks. Meet the new Arash AF8. The car is all-new and features a design that takes some of the best parts of Arash’s previous models and blends them together into one stunning machine. Power still comes from a GM-sourced, LS7 7.0-liter V-8 that produces 550 horsepower; enough to push the AF8 to 200 mph.

Keeping all those carbon body panels together is a chassis that is built from a collection of steel, aluminum and carbon. Items like the side-impact beams are made from high-strength steel, while the roll cage system is strengthened with carbon. My favorite part is the floor, which has been made with a Kevlar-carbon composite to provide “ballistic” protection against stones and road debris.

When it comes to making your supercar sound awesome, a “ballistic protection” floor is a great place to start.

Arash, the tiny car company based in Cambridge, England that brought us the AF-10, has released some more teaser images for a new car. The photos are very misleading and don’t do much to explain the car, but we have deciphered as much as we can.

We can see in one of the shots what is clearly a carbon-fiber steering wheel, and a set of three blurred lights in the background. A few shots later, we see the three lights in succession and that leads me to believe that it is an arrangement for selecting a gear, like what Aston Martin offers. They could also be buttons for things like traction control.

There is also a shot of what appears to be a taillight with some nice milled-aluminum metalwork around it. There are also shots of the dash, which indicates 200 mph, and a shot of what looks like a seat headrest. Both the dash and seat photo feature yellow stitching.

The two strangest photos are the “yellow” one and the photo with the “gear toothing.” Based on the yellow stitching, it makes sense that the exterior of the new Arash supercar will be yellow, so I think the “yellow” photo is a close up shot of the engine cover. There is a slight chance it could be part of the front bumper, but the reflections don’t work right for that.

The “gear tooth” photo stumps me 100-percent. The black material on the right looks like it could be from a speaker, and the bolt nubs on the left make it look like it could be a wheel design.

One thing we do know is that all the waiting will end on February 28, 2014.

It’s been a while since Arash Cars made headlines and we certainly missed it a lot.

Lately, however, Arash Farboud — the company’s founder — has been making noise about a new supercar that it plans to reveal in the not-so-distant future. Turns out, that time is upon us.

A new teaser with "28.02.2014" on it is making its rounds lately and we don’t need to be rocket scientists to figure out that it’s the date that Arash plans to officially unveil its new pride and joy. The vehicle, which remains nameless, has been in the pipeline for years now and amidst all those delays, we’re finally going to get a close look at it in a month’s time.

We see teasers all the time in this business, but this one has us legitimately excited, especially when Arash throws out proclamations of it being a worthy rival to the Lamborghini Huracan.

There was also another teaser photo, which shows a close-up look of the carbon-fiber steering wheel, which was released together with the "save the date variety." While this one doesn’t dive into specifics of what we can expect, we can at least look forward to knowing that Arash didn’t shortchange this new supercar.

It may have taken a while to finish, but we’re confident that the wait is going to be well worth it.

Arash Farboud made its first step out into the market with the AF-10 back in 2009 and since then, rumors about an AF-8 model started making their way around the circuit. Not much has sprouted from the rooted rumors, but our confirmation for the super car has finally come in the form of an AF-8 scale model. This scale AF-8 - designed by Bujär Muharremi and Toby Mellor - showed up at the annual Coventry University Automotive Design degree show in UK and previews the final design of the production model scheduled to be revealed at next year’s Geneva Motor Show.

The AF-8 production model will be powered by a Corvette V8 engine producing as much as 700 bhp. When it goes on sale, it will do so with a price tag of about $200,000. By comparison, the AF-10 is powered by a 7.0-liter LS7 Corvette Z06-sourced engine, which produces 550 HP and 475 lb/ft of torque and is capable of hitting a top speed of 205 mph. Recently, an AF-10 supercar was sold for an impressive $2 million.

The GTS is in final stages of development with UK production and sales scheduled to begin in Spring 2007 and sales in the USA starting soon after. According to Farboud’s website, Farboud USA will be based in Miami, Florida and most dealers located in Maine, Oregon, Michigan and New York.
