What is the Least Expensive Buick?
The cheapest model in Buick’s lineup is the Buick Encore. This subcompact SUV starts out at around $23,000 but can approach the $30,000 mark when fully equipped. In terms of cars, the cheapest model is the fairly sporty Regal Sportback. It starts out around $25,000 but fully equipped models can approach the $35,000 - $40,000 range.
What is the Sportiest Buick?
Buick is considered a more luxurious line of Chevy, and the only sporty model in the brand’s entire lineup is the Buick Regal GS. It is powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 that’s good for 310 horsepower and 282 pound-feet of torque. It offers some 60 horsepower more than the standard regal and should get you to 60 mph in around six seconds with its top speed sitting around the 150-mph mark. The Buick Regal GS starts out at $39,000 and can go beyond the $40,000 mark when fully equipped.
What is the Most Popular Buick?
Despite Buick’s history with amazing cars, its most popular models are the Encore and Enclave crossovers. The three-row Enclave gets a lot of attention because of its sheer size and utility, but the much smaller Encore crossover is Buicks bestseller with sales increasing steadily since 2013 in the U.S. 2018 was the best year for the Encore yet, with Buick moving a total of 93,073 examples throughout the year. Through June of 2019, the brand has already sold 48,897 examples, so it’s quite possible the Encore will be Buick’s best seller yet again.
What is the Fastest Buick?
The fastest Buick is the Regal GS, which can hit 60 mph in around six seconds and a top speed of 150-ish mph. Of course, Buick is a luxury brand that sits below Cadillac, so none of its models are actually intended to be all that fast – it’s more about comfort than anything.
Are Buicks Reliable?
While everyone seems to think that Japanese and Korean models are generally more dependable, the truth is that Buick actually ranks in the 5 of dependable automotive brands. J.D Power’s 2019 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study places Buick in the No. 5 spot with a total of 118 problems reported per 100 vehicles made (PP100). This places it below Chevy with 115 PP100, Toyota with 108 PP100, Porsche with 108 PP100, and the No. 1 brand, Lexus, with 106 PP100 reported. Oddly, sister brand Cadillac is ranked No. 24 with a score of 166 PP100, so you’re better off buying a Buick than you are a Cadillac.
