Aston Martin Overview

At a time when every other car is getting a boost of extra horsepower from an electric powertrain, Aston Martin has once again had the audacious idea of stuffing a V-12 into its Vantage. Yes, you heard that right a V-12 in 2021.

Aston Martin is introducing a DBX that’s fitted with a 3.0-liter straight-six turbo gasoline engine. This, however, is only limited to China, but it does increase the DBX’s appeal in that market even further.

To say that the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar is exclusive is an understatement. With only 150 units to be made, every model produced is a milestone of its own, especially if it’s the first-ever unit to roll of the production line.

Back in August 2021 we learned that Aston Martin was planning a whole bunch of different DBX models, and I even went so far to suggest that a DBX coupe is inevitable. These new spy shots aren’t of that crazy model, but this is the DBX S – the high-performance DBX that you probably didn’t know you’d want. Our photographers caught it blazing around the Nürburgring in all its glory.

The DBX is the first luxury SUV offered by Aston Martin. But, despite its price - about $180k, the DBX is not really a powerful SUV. It offers indeed an impressive amount of luxury features for the interior, but both the powertrain and the exterior looks could use some improvement. And this is where Mansory comes into the picture!

It’s safe to say Aston Martin is late to the EV/hybrid bandwagon. With that being said, we already know that the British carmaker is already headed in that direction and the first of three (so far) planned EV models is said to debut in 2025. Like other makers, the change will not be sudden, as it’s being foreshadowed by revisions to the DB11, as well as other models. With Aston Martin’s upcoming EV models, one has to ask, how will future Aston Martin models look? Pixel artist Dejan Hristov may have the answer.

Marek Reichman, the chief creative officer at Aston Martin, takes us over each and every car from the British marque, that has appeared in every Bond film since the 60s.

Back in 2019 a fully restored Aston Martin DB5 that stared in the James Bond movie "Goldfinger" was auctioned for the impressive amount of $6.4 million. With a price like this, no matter how much we like the DB5, you can imagine that not many people out there will get the chance to actually own one.

Now though, you can own a very cool looking DB5. But there is a catch: you can’t drive it! And that’s because it comes from Playmobil! Yeah, we know, now the DB5 you were dreaming about, but it is better than nothing, right?

While it may be true that the Aston Martin DB6 has never enjoyed the same success or reputation level as the DB5, it was still a very impressive car. It offered improved aerodynamic and specifications compared to the DB5 and was offered in both coupe and convertible form. The problem with the DB6 is of course its age. Being built from 1965 to 1971 it is of course very difficult to find one in pristine condition. And this is where Lunaz comes along. For the right money - and we are talking about $1 million - the company will restore, re-engineer, and electrify your DB6.

With the latest bond film No Time to Die, there’s no time better time to look back at some of the most exciting Bond movie cars ever. Bond in Motion is the very first formal exhibition in the United States to display actual vehicles that featured in the James Bond film franchise.

The films were produced in conjunction with EON Productions and the Ian Fleming Foundation. The exhibition currently underway at the Petersen Automotive Museum commemorates the 60th anniversary of the 007 films, which began with the release of Dr.No, six decades ago back in 1962.

To commemorate the release of the upcoming James Bond flick, No Time To Die, The Little Car Company has created a two-thirds-scale version of the Aston Martin DB5. The DB5 is synonymous with James Bond movies. It was first seen in ‘Goldfinger’ in 1946 and will be seen for the eighth time in ‘No Time To Die’.

The two-thirds scale electric version of the Aston Martin DB5 is called the DB5 Junior ’No Time To Die Edition’ is priced at over $100,000! It even comes with all sorts of gadgets that we’ve seen in the movies over the years. Fancy, huh?

If you are into automotive design, Frank Stephenson should be a familiar name. The name is responsible for the design of some of the best high-performance cars of our time. Among them are the Ferrari F430, Maserati MC12, McLaren P1, and 720S, to name a few. He is adamant that every car brand should have a distinctive design, and this couldn’t be truer for a company like Aston Martin that prides itself on its design. Because of this, the veteran designer is giving us his three favorite Aston Martin designs and explains he thinks they are the best.

The Aston Martin Bulldog seen here is unlike any other Aston because it is the only one of its kind in the world, thanks to its striking angular wedge-shaped design. It has undergone an 18-month long restoration.

Rendering artist Jon Sibal is known for his wonderful creations. His latest project is the Aston Martin Vulcan Speedster and it looks stunning. The renderings come as part of Jon’s collaboration with Meguiar’s for an art series called “Portrait of an Icon”. This is the fourth installment of the series. The Vulcan in a Speedster avatar is a treat to the eyes.

The Aston Martin DBX was a controversial success from launch and, today, it accounts for more that 50-percent of the company’s global sales. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that there are more derivatives of the DBX coming – a move that is expected to keep demand high and make up for the fact that Aston Martin occupies just a small portion of the SUV market. Some of the new DBX models coming are at least somewhat expected, but you might not like all of what Aston Martin is planning.

Aston Martin is one of the more enigmatic brands that we occasionally remember is up to something. That said, the British brand, like others, has a certain pattern in which it does things. When the previous-generation Vantage came out, it was equipped with a 4.3-liter V-8. It later grew to a 4.7-liter, but performance was still "meh" compared to some Ferrari or Porsche offerings. That said, in 2009, the entry-level Aston Martin got a V-12. Now, it seems Aston Martin is about to do the same thing to the current Vantage.

The Aston Martin DB5 has to be one of the cars of the most iconic film of all time. The DB5 was driven by Sean Connery that featured in Goldfinger & Thunderball back in the ’60s was stolen nearly a quarter of a century ago.
