When it comes to Japanese performance sedans, the new Acura TLX Type S has been the talk of talks lately. It debuted on 23 June 2021 and, despite its transversely-mounted engine, it promises an engaging driving experience, combined with perfect daily usability. But how will it fare against another Japanese performance sedan? The YouTube channel Sam CarLegion gives an answer by pitting the Type S against an Infiniti Q50 Red Sport.

Acura just revealed the new 2023 Integra, marking the name’s return to the market in nearly two decades (2006, to be specific), but what happens next? The MDX has always been a solid yet unpopular option in the booming SUV market ever since it launched. Even though it is decent to look at, decent to drive, and more than competitive with its rivals from Lexus and the Germans. Just after its launch at the Monterey Car Week in Pebble Beach, California last week, the very first 2022 Acura NSX Type S to be sold outside of Japan went under the hammer for a cool $1.1 million courtesy of Mecum Daytime Auctions.

Earlier this month, Acura announced it will retire the NSX. But, the car will receive a grand farewell before fading away into oblivion. The automaker said that the NXS will receive the sportier Type S treatment. Unveiled at the 2021 Monterey Car Week, the NSX Type S comes with a power bump and some aesthetic upgrades inside and out. It will be limited to only 350 examples and 300 of these are slated for the U.S. Acura has priced this at $169,500.
