Lamborghini is known for building supercars. But, with 650 horsepower under the hood, its Urus SUV is not exactly supercar material. In fact, we can name a few SUVs that deliver a lot more power than the Urus. Think for example about cars like: Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat (710 horsepower), Jeep Cherokee Trackhawk (707 horsepower) or Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid (670 horsepower).

When Lamborghini launched the special edition Aventador Ultimae LP 780-4, we knew the end of an era was coming. After a decade on the market, the Aventador is finally going to be retired. Previous rumors suggested that it will be the last Lamborghini model to feature a V-12 engine, but it looks that Lamborghini is not ready just yet to give up on the V-12.

A successor for the Aventador is right around the corner, and despite many rumors, it will continue offering a V-12 engine- it’s a hybridized engine, that’s true, but still a V-12.

Tim Burton from ‘Shmee150’, popularly known as Shmee, brought two of his track machines to an airstrip for a few drag races. First up was the Lamborghini Huracan STO that featured a naturally aspirated V-10, and the other was the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series powered by a 4.0-liter, forced-induction V-8. Both these cars are quick runners, but which one do you think will win?

When you talk about a supercar taking on a family SUV, you know who would win. But, when the SUV in question is a 640-horsepower Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, things aren’t so obvious anymore. ‘Carwow’ uploaded a video of a Lamborghini Huracan Performante taking on a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT and a surprise star next, which is a tuned Nissan GT-R. Do you think the Lamborghini would’ve made short work of both its rivals?

The Porsche GT2 RS needs no introduction. The little beast has flattened a lot of supercars on the drag strip and the track in the past. Now, the car has come around again to add another name to its death note. The victim it has chosen this time is the Lamborghini Huracan STO! Daniel Abt uploaded a video of the same on his YouTube channel and it’s definitely worth watching.

When initially launched on the market back in 2019, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster came with a starting price of $517,770! Quite an increase when compared to the Avantador S Roadster priced at $460,000. But it was all for the right reasons: more power, most aggressive look, improved performance figures.

But, Fusion Motor is trying to sell an SVJ Roadster with 2,300 miles on the odometer for $874,950. That’s a little over $350,000 more than the new car!

It goes without saying that technology evolves at a rapid pace. This is also true for the automotive industry, which is one of the most competitive in the world. With this in mind, it’s getting increasingly difficult to pioneer something that no one else has, but Lamborghini may have just achieved a revolution in-car connectivity, as they are equipping every version of their bestseller – the Lamborghini Huracan – with an innovative GPS system called “what3words.”

The Hoonigan team was back to the drag strip for another edition of ‘This vs That’. This time, the guys brought a 2020 Lamborghini Huracan EVO to take on a 2018 Wolf GB08 TSC-LT, which happened to be the fastest car at this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Does the Huracan EVO have any chance to win here?

Brooks from ’DragTimes’ brought a Lamborghini Huracan EVO to the drag strip to take on the Ferrari F8 Tributo. The Huracan EVO is no slouch by any means, but it was no match for the Model S Plaid. All the Lamborghini models will be electrified by 2024, so until, then, the Lamborghini models might face humiliation this way against the likes of fast EVs.

The team at ‘Carwow’ brought a Lamborghini Huracan to the drag strip for a series of straight-line races. Instead of pitting it against another car from its segment, they brought in a superbike to take it on. This superbike is a Kawasaki H2R that comes with a supercharged engine and boasts of a better power-to-ratio. This is despite the fact that the Lamborghini Huracan is far from stock and makes over 1,000 horses. Which of these beasts do you think will win?

Economical and cost-effective are not the terms that come to mind when talking about Lamborghinis. As one of the premier automakers globally, Lamborghini produces sleek, high-performance models that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. The brand also has a rich history that entails rivalry with Italian supercar greats like Ferrari. This long-established pedigree translated into producing models from high-performance parts in the market. The overall cost of production would mean an even bigger price tag for the consumer. Secondly, Lamborghini has produced a reduced number of its models to keep up the exclusivity. Its rarity seals the fact that not everyone can own one, but, as the years progress, some of the older models lose their shine due to better technologies and standards. These cars have become somewhat obsolete and become attainable to members of the middle class.

The European Union’s comprehensive ban on combustion engines is set to go into force in 2035, but the Italian government is hoping for an exception for supercar makers. Italy is trying to negotiate with the European Union and is seeking to protect supercar makers like Ferrari and Lamborghini from the planned phase-out of combustion engine vehicles altogether. According to a Bloomberg post, Italy wants to shield Ferrari and Lamborghini from this potential European Union ban on gas-powered engines.

I think we can all agree that the Lamborghini Huracan is a very capable supercar out of the box. Be that as it may, the people at 7X Design thought it would be a good idea to exploit the car’s hardware to its fullest. Moreover, with help from Envisage Group from Coventry, the Huracan received a bespoke new body that seems to have been inspired by the Miura. The results, both visually and performance-wise, are mind-blowing.

Marcello Gandini needs no introduction. He has tens of models to his name and many of them have achieved legendary status. Now, three of his creations, namely the Lamborghini Jarama, the Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, and the Alfa-Romeo Montreal will be up for sale at an upcoming auction by Stratas Auctions. Collectively, they are expected to fetch north of $800,000.

A few months ago, Lamborghini made it very clear that it will not give up on the V-12 engine. In fact, not one but two Lamborghini V-12 models are set to debut in the near future, one of which was the Ultimae. We also know what the other one is going to be. The Lamborghini Aventador is officially a decade old and a successor is due. As we mentioned a while back, the Aventador successor will feature a V-12 hybrid powertrain, based on the Sian. Moreover, according to CEO Stephan Winkelmann, it will debut later this year.

You have to admit that the automotive world would be slightly boring if it wasn’t for people with strange ideas who own sheds. I myself don’t have a shed, and even if I had, I would have been too busy writing articles like this. Apparently, that wasn’t the case with someone from Lawrenceville, Georgia, who decided to make his own very convincing replica of a Lamborghini Diablo. Unfortunately for the car, he never finished it, but for $30,000, someone else could.

Lamborghini revealed the new Countach earlier this month and it was the talk of the town for a long time. The automaker revived the moniker on its 50th anniversary and based it on the Aventador. While the new Countach came with a lot of elements from the yesteryear model, it wasn’t as old school as a lot of people expected it to be. For a modern car with retro vibes, it did well. But, for a moniker as beloved as the Countach, the car missed out on a lot of stuff.

Since the looks drew polarizing opinions, some rendering artists took it upon themselves to show us what the Countach could’ve looked like if it was a lot more retro and old-school. One of them is Siim Pärn who shared his renderings with us.

Lamborghini took the wraps off the 2022 Countach last week and it stirred the proverbial pot. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Countach and the Italian automaker decided to do something special for it. The Countach is based on the Aventador and has elements of the Sian, and of course, a lot of cues of the original Countach as well.

From the outrageous styling, to the thumping V-12 powerplant, to the breathtaking performance, the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is anything but boring. But that’s not stopping one lucky owner from turning the volume knob up to 11 on their Raging Bull. Say hello to the SC18 Alston, which comes with race-spec aero and a track-ready attitude to set it apart from its more “standard” brethren. And although it’s designed for track use, the SC18 Alston is still road-legal, bringing the best of both worlds into wing-tastic harmony.

Lately, we have been turning a lot of attention towards Lamborghini. Something that was made inevitable with the revival of the iconic Lamborghini Countach. The Gandini-designed Countach was produced for 16 years before it was finally replaced by the Lamborghini Diablo. Although the latter did not manage to achieve quite the same status as its predecessor, it was better in every measurable way. With this in mind, a very clean example of the Diablo just popped up for sale, at a surprisingly low price.
