2020 Lamborghini Sian FKP 37

2020 Lamborghini Sian FKP 37

A raging electrified bull, the first in Lamborghini’s history

The 2020 Lamborghini Sian is a hybrid supercar that the Italian firm unveiled ahead of the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. Powered by a V-12 gasoline engine and an electric motor, the Sian is Lambo’s first mass-produced hybrid. However, the supercar is limited to only 63 units, so it’s actually a preview of things to come, like an electrified successor to the Aventador.

Design-wise, the Sian stands on its own by combining a new design language with styling cues inspired by the iconic Lamborghini Countach. Its interior, on the other hand, is based on the Aventador’s, albeit it comes with bespoke elements and fancier features. The Sian also showcases innovative technology, like a state-of-the-art energy recuperating system and a supercapacitor instead of a traditional lithium-ion battery. Let’s find out more about that in the review below.

Lamborghini Might Attend Future Auto Shows, But We Won’t See Anything New

Lamborghini will introduce new cars during private events instead of auto shows

Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini says it will no longer unveil new cars at mainstream auto shows. The company claims that its customers want a more intimate relationship with the brand, something they can’t have through major auto shows, which are usually packed with visitors. Instead, Lambo wants to focus on smaller, private events where customers will feel that they can develop a closer connection to the brand.

2020 Lamborghini Urus Venatus by Mansory

We don’t know what’s more destructive: Mansory or the coronavirus

Mansory has always been a constant presence at the Geneva Motor Show, but this year the tuner had to shake its tail feather online, just like every other carmaker out there. And shake it did, by unveiling a new widebody kit for the Lamborghini Urus.

It’s called Venatus, which is Latin for hunting or to hunt. On that note, let’s take a closer look at the Bavarian tuner’s latest work on the Urus.

Lamborghini Confirms Hybrids are Coming, But Condemns the 2020 Geneva Motor Show

The company is tired of having to compete for attention… not that it was really the case

Lamborghini’s parent company, Audi, has issued a press release that, among other things, says that Lambo won’t be attending the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. The idea behind this move is that it wants to skip GIMS so that it can focus on “standalone events” where its cars won’t have to share the spotlight with rival models. If you were there last year, you’d know that isn’t really the case – Lambo was in the middle of one of the larger halls and surrounded by cars it doesn’t compete with – but hey, one excuse is as good as any other. There’s a little more to this story, though.

This is big news as it’s Alexa’s first venture into the supercar market. Also, Lamborghini programmed the voice assistant directly into the infotainment system rather than adding it as a third-party app.

2019 Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder

Matching modern Raging Bull awesomeness with extra atmosphere in the cabin

The Lamborghini Huracán was introduced in 2014 as the Italian supercar maker’s next-gen entry-level model, following in the footsteps of the ever-popular Lamborghini Gallardo. In January of 2019, Lamborghini revealed the second-generation Huracán EVO Coupé, and now the Raging Bull is dropping the top with the Huracán EVO Spyder at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. Slotting in as the second entry in Lambo’s modern V-10 stable, the Huracán EVO Spyder is equipped with the same go-stuff as the hardtop, including a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter powerplant, adaptive suspension components, and eye-popping aerodynamics. However, as an added bonus, the Huracán EVO Spyder adds in unlimited headroom, all without compromising the Huracán EVO’s impressive performance capabilities.

Update 03/15/2019: We’ve updated this review with fresh images of the 2019 Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder that were taken during the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Check them out in the gallery at the bottom of this page!

Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder Spices Up Lambo's Open-Top Onslaught At Geneva

Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder Spices Up Lambo’s Open-Top Onslaught At Geneva

The Huracan Evo loses its head but none of its power

The Geneva Auto Show with its early Spring date is the ideal place for automakers to showcase the cars that will be on everyone’s lips this summer. Case in point: Lamborghini. The supercar maker from Sant’Agata Bolognese brings to the Swiss show not one but two offerings that are bound to mess up your hair and make you hard of hearing for a few days: the Aventador SVJ Roadster and this one, the Huracan Evo Spyder.

Lamborghini is no longer a company satisfied with making cars that are fast in a straight line but that will, otherwise, try to endanger your health. Ever since Ferrari started putting out flawless car after flawless car, Lambo’s been upping its game significantly too. Last year, the floor of the Geneva Auto Show was graced by the Huracan Performante Spyder and the Evo is simply a Performante that decided to double down on its dose of steroids. It also shares the Performante’s restyled face with some tweaks.

Lamborghini’s First Hybrid will Debut in Frankfurt as - You Guessed It - a Special Edition Model

It’s limited to just 63 units as a nod to 1963, the year Lamborghini first entered our lives

The wait for Lamborghini’s first hybrid supercar will come to an end at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. The yet-to-be-named hybrid monster is a touchpoint for the Italian automaker as it lays the foundation for its own hybrid plans for the future. For now, the hybrid supercar goes by the name “LB48H.” Details are still scarce at this point, but Lamborghini is expected to take styling cues from the Terzo Millenio EV Concept it unveiled last year and graft them onto the hybrid supercar. This model also holds the distinction for being the rarest among all hybrid exotics that have been released in recent years. Lamborghini’s building only 63 units — the 63-car volume is a nod to 1963, the year Lamborghini was born — and, unfortunately for all of us, all 63 units are already accounted for.

2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63

For those times when a half-a-million-dollar supercar still isn’t enough

If the Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce Jota (SVJ) isn’t rare enough for you, you’ll be happy to know that a 63-unit Aventador SVJ 63 Special Edition is also available from Lamborghini. The rarer Aventador SVJ 63 carries that name as a nod to 1963, the year patriarch Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the company. Lamborghini has yet to release the price for the Aventador SVJ 63, but expect it to be heavier on the pockets compared to the $517,770 price tag of the “standard” Aventador SVJ.

2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ

2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ

The Jota returns and it’s angrier than ever!

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is the most powerful and aggressive version of the company’s flagship supercar. The car that bears the iconic Jota suffix, which was first used on the Miura, made its debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance as the fastest production car on the Nurburgring as of 2018.

The first Lambo to carry a "Jota" badge since the Diablo, the Aventador SVJ is essentially a beefed-up version of the SV. But it’s not just faster and more powerful, it’s also more aerodynamic, as it benefits from the Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) system. First introduced on the Huracan Performante, ALA is a range of active aerodynamic features that turn the already potent supercar into a road-legal race car. Alongside the SVJ, Lambo launched a limited-edition SJV 63 model that pays homage to the company’s founding year of 1963.

Pray to the Heavens That The Lamborghini L595 Roadster Becomes Reality

It says "2018" on the Zagato website so let’s cross our fingers that it comes to life

Four years ago, Italian coach builder Zagato unveiled the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato, a one-off creation that spawned into a limited edition series because deep-pocketed customers couldn’t get enough of it. Fast forward to 2018, and we could be in for a case of déjà vu. Sitting on Zagato’s website for all the world to see is a rendering of the Lamborghini L595 Zagato, a droptop version of the 5-95 Zagato that we saw in 2014. It’s unclear if Zagato has plans to build this version, but the image was accompanied by “2018,” a sign that we could see this car come to life sometime this year.

2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder

2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder

The Gallardo Performante gets a successor at last!

The Lamborghini Huracan made its public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. It replaced the Gallardo, the company’s best-selling model as of 2018, in the lineup and became Lambo’s entry-level supercar. Slightly longer and wider than its predecessor, the Huracan employs a different styling language compared to the Gallardo, featuring lines derived from the range-topping Aventador. The design includes sharper cues, more pronounced side skirts, and a more aggressive stance overall. Under the hood, the 5.2-liter V-10 was updated for more horsepower and improved fuel economy. In 2017, Lamborghini launched the higher performance Performante model, and a Spyder version broke cover at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Three years have passed since the Huracan was unleashed on public roads and the supercar is already highly popular, selling more than 8,000 units since its introduction. The Performante Spyder arrives to close the circle of the Huracan family, which now includes two coupes, two convertibles, and two race-spec models. The Performante name returns after long hiatus, as it was originally introduced on the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, essentially a convertible version of the Gallardo Superleggera. The high-performance drop-top was launched in 2011 and remained in production until the Gallardo was phased out in 2013. As you might have already guessed, the Performance Spyder adds infinite headroom to the Performante’s record-setting performance. And it’s almost as quick!
