Lamborghini Geneva Motor Show Cars

Mansory has always been a constant presence at the Geneva Motor Show, but this year the tuner had to shake its tail feather online, just like every other carmaker out there. And shake it did, by unveiling a new widebody kit for the Lamborghini Urus.

It’s called Venatus, which is Latin for hunting or to hunt. On that note, let’s take a closer look at the Bavarian tuner’s latest work on the Urus.

Lamborghini’s parent company, Audi, has issued a press release that, among other things, says that Lambo won’t be attending the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. The idea behind this move is that it wants to skip GIMS so that it can focus on “standalone events” where its cars won’t have to share the spotlight with rival models. If you were there last year, you’d know that isn’t really the case – Lambo was in the middle of one of the larger halls and surrounded by cars it doesn’t compete with – but hey, one excuse is as good as any other. There’s a little more to this story, though.

The Lamborghini Huracán was introduced in 2014 as the Italian supercar maker’s next-gen entry-level model, following in the footsteps of the ever-popular Lamborghini Gallardo. In January of 2019, Lamborghini revealed the second-generation Huracán EVO Coupé, and now the Raging Bull is dropping the top with the Huracán EVO Spyder at the 2019 Geneva International Motor Show. Slotting in as the second entry in Lambo’s modern V-10 stable, the Huracán EVO Spyder is equipped with the same go-stuff as the hardtop, including a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter powerplant, adaptive suspension components, and eye-popping aerodynamics. However, as an added bonus, the Huracán EVO Spyder adds in unlimited headroom, all without compromising the Huracán EVO’s impressive performance capabilities.

The Geneva Auto Show with its early Spring date is the ideal place for automakers to showcase the cars that will be on everyone’s lips this summer. Case in point: Lamborghini. The supercar maker from Sant’Agata Bolognese brings to the Swiss show not one but two offerings that are bound to mess up your hair and make you hard of hearing for a few days: the Aventador SVJ Roadster and this one, the Huracan Evo Spyder.

Lamborghini is no longer a company satisfied with making cars that are fast in a straight line but that will, otherwise, try to endanger your health. Ever since Ferrari started putting out flawless car after flawless car, Lambo’s been upping its game significantly too. Last year, the floor of the Geneva Auto Show was graced by the Huracan Performante Spyder and the Evo is simply a Performante that decided to double down on its dose of steroids. It also shares the Performante’s restyled face with some tweaks.

The awesome Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, the successor to the iconic Diablo Jota and Miura SVJ, joined the 2019 Geneva Motor Show in Roadster trim. The fastest Lamborghini around the Nurburgring is now available without a roof with similar performance, infinite headroom, and a louder engine soundtrack.

Lamborghini has revealed the soft top version of last year’s Huracan Evo coupe, the 2019 Huracan Evo Spyder. It is exactly the same car, but with the extra weight of its folding roof, its acceleration is slightly affected - but what you gain on the other hand is limitless headroom and a better earful of its glorious naturally aspirated V-10 engine.

Although critics initially derided the Gallardo as a copout for the Italian automaker, offering two fewer cylinders and a smaller on-road presence than the rest of the lineup, the “baby Lambo” quickly silenced the naysayers by selling well over 7,000 units in its first five years of production. Its performance was so impressive, the higher-ups from Sant’Agata Bolognese decided to usher in a new go-faster version for 2008, upgrading the Gallardo with fresh aesthetics and improved performance. The result was dubbed the LP560-4, and once again, customers flocked to dealers, catapulting the nameplate to the top of Lambo’s list of all-time bestsellers.

The Lamborghini Huracan made its public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. It replaced the Gallardo, the company’s best-selling model as of 2018, in the lineup and became Lambo’s entry-level supercar. Slightly longer and wider than its predecessor, the Huracan employs a different styling language compared to the Gallardo, featuring lines derived from the range-topping Aventador. The design includes sharper cues, more pronounced side skirts, and a more aggressive stance overall. Under the hood, the 5.2-liter V-10 was updated for more horsepower and improved fuel economy. In 2017, Lamborghini launched the higher performance Performante model, and a Spyder version broke cover at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Three years have passed since the Huracan was unleashed on public roads and the supercar is already highly popular, selling more than 8,000 units since its introduction. The Performante Spyder arrives to close the circle of the Huracan family, which now includes two coupes, two convertibles, and two race-spec models. The Performante name returns after long hiatus, as it was originally introduced on the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante, essentially a convertible version of the Gallardo Superleggera. The high-performance drop-top was launched in 2011 and remained in production until the Gallardo was phased out in 2013. As you might have already guessed, the Performance Spyder adds infinite headroom to the Performante’s record-setting performance. And it’s almost as quick!

The Lamborghini Huracan proved itself as a worthy successor to the iconic Gallardo only a few months after it hit the market, but it wasn’t until the Performante version was launched that Lambo unveiled its true potential. Almost a year later and the record-setting supercar loses its top to become the Performante Spyder at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

After ten successful years on the market, during which it became the company’s best-selling sports car ever, the Lamborghini Gallardo was replaced by the Huracan in 2014. Boasting a new design inside and out, a revised drivetrain, and better performance, the Huracan hit the sports car market with a bang, selling more than 1,500 units in 2014 and more than 4,700 in 2016. With some 8,500 examples sold as of early 2017, it sure looks as if the Huracan will surpass the Gallardo’s 14,022-unit record sales in a few years. However, Lambo knows that resting on its laurels isn’t the best thing to do so it’s hard at work to expand the Huracan family. The latest model to join the lineup goes by the name Performante and made its global debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

As the name suggests, the Performante is a higher performance version of the standard Huracan and a successor to the Gallardo Superleggera. Although it was originally believed that the Huracan will also get a Superleggera badge, Lambo eventually decided to replace it with Performante. The name swap is rather surprising given that the high-performance Aventador retained the SuperVeloce name from its predecessor, but I agree that Performante is as fitting as Superleggera for a range-topping sports car.

Overall, the Huracan Performance is a big step forward compared to the Gallardo Superleggera, but it’s also a significant departure from the standard Huracan in terms of aerodynamics and performance. Find out more about it in my review below.

The highly anticipated Lamborghini Huracan Performante, the car that put Porsche’s Nurburgring lap record to shame, was unveiled at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Based on the already popular Huracan, the Performance is pretty much a successor to the Gallardo Superleggera, but features more state-of-the-art, race-bred technology than any other Lambo to date.

Designed with lightness and aerodynamics in mind, the Huracan Performante is significantly more aggressive than its standard sibling, sporting an aero kit that feels at home on the race track. This is obvious from the first moment you lay your eyes on the car, but what’s underneath the paint is even more amazing. With certain body panels made from aluminum and Lambo’s very own forged composite, which consists of chopped carbon fibers in a resin, the Performante is no fewer than 40 kg (88 pounds) lighter that the Huracan.

Not only that, but it’s also more powerful, with the naturally aspirated, 5.2-liter V-10 being upgraded to produce 631 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. That’s 29 extra horses and an additional 18 pound-feet of twist over the standard Huracan. With a weight distribution ratio of 43/57 front to rear, the Performante needs only 2.9 seconds to hit 62 mph from a standing start, which makes it three tenths quicker than the regular supercar. Charging to 124 mph takes an amazing 8.9 seconds, while braking from 62 mph to a full stop takes place in only 31 meters (101.7 feet).

Inside, the Huracán Performante comes with a new digital instrument cluster configurable for Strada, Sport, and Corsa modes, while offering data on downforce and drag. The new infotainment system also includes Apple CarPlay and iPhone apps, as well as Lamborghini’s telemetry system, which allows the driver to record, replay, and study his own performance.

“The Huracán Performante is the convergence of technological developments to produce a car delivering perfect performance,” says Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stefano Domenicali. “This new car represents the powerhouse of Lamborghini DNA and innovation, and a 360 degree approach to creating class-leading super sports cars. It illustrates the pinnacle of Lamborghini V10 production car performance to date, on both track and road, and is perfectly exemplified by its name: Lamborghini Huracán Performante.”

Pricing for the Huracan Performante starts at $274,390 in the U.S., with deliveries to commence this summer.

Lambo introduced us to its Huracan hurricane in 2014 as a replacement for the seemingly endlessly popular Lamborghini Gallardo. With the Gallardo’s successful past looming large, the Huracan had some mighty big shoes to fill, tasked with becoming the Italian automaker’s best-selling model in the lineup. So far, the Huracan has done well in that regard, thanks in no small part to a surprising number of special edition models and limited runs. Now, joining the list is this new special edition from Italdesign, an engineering and design company based out of Moncalieri that decided the Raging Bull just wasn’t angry enough from the factory. As such, Italdesign gave the Huracan this wild-looking all-composite exterior treatment, transforming the Lambo into something that looks like it was plucked from an arcade racing game frequented by Ritalin-toting ADD cases. Only five will be produced, with production slated to stop by the end of the year.

Coinciding with the release of the limited-run Huracan, Italdesign, which has worked closely with Lambo in the past, is also introducing the Italdesign Automobili Speciali brand, so it’s likely we’ll see similar treatments sometime in the near future.

Italdesign says its upgraded Huracan is “intended for collectors and visionary enthusiasts, [and] it combines racing car features and performance alongside type-approval for use on normal roads.”

Sure thing, Italdesign. Because after all, who wouldn’t wanna drive a race-ready Lambo down to the shops for a quart of milk?

This customized Lambo will make its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show alongside an exclusive Excalibur Spider timepiece from watchmaker Roger Dubuis, signaling a collaborative partnership between the two companies. No price has been announced for the car, but rest assured it’s firmly in the “if you have to ask” category. As reference, the “normal” Lamborghini Huracan retails for about $230,000, give or take.

All good things must come to an end, so the Gallardo is packing things up and moving out of Lamborghini’s entry-level supercar spot to make room for a brand new baby. Rumors swirled about the name of this new supercar, and the final decision was Huracán LP 610-4 and not "Cabrera," as we initially thought.

The Huracán LP 610-4’s name is derived from a fighting bull from 1879. This Spanish Conte de la Patilla breed of bull was unrelenting and thrust himself into bull-fighting stardom courage and strong sense of attack.

This new new Lamborghini will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014, but it will also have more than 130 private showings that start in January. We expect to see it in dealers starting in mid- to late-2014.

Sometime in the 1960s, a successful tractor builder in northern Italy bought a Ferrari 250 GT. Unfortunately, he didn’t think much of it. So, he brought his complaints directly to Enzo Ferrari, who responded by telling him he should stick to building tractors. After the rude dismissal, Ferruccio Lamborghini decided he could do better and started his own car company.

2016 is the year of Ferruccio’s 100th birthday, so to mark the milestone, Lamborghini built a limited-production supercar as a tribute to the company’s founder. The Centenario, was reportedly shown to prospective buyers as a 3D hologram model during the 2015 Monterey Car Week and has now officially made its debut at the Geneva Auto Show. Only 20 units in coupe form and 20 units in roadster form will be built, with all 40 units already spoken for prior to its debut.

Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini, said, “The Centenario is a car that perfectly combines tradition and innovation. It looks to the future while honoring the legend that is Ferruccio Lamborghini. The Centenario is an opportunity for our designers and engineers to transcend some of the constraints of series car production to achieve an incomparable result: the Centenario has immediately proved itself as a desirable collectors’ car, while demonstrating new Lamborghini technologies and outstanding performance. The Centenario is a super sports car for Ferruccio Lamborghini and the future he and we believe in today.”

So, with that said, let’s dive on in a take a look at Lamborghini’s new Centenario and see if we can discover why, outside of its limited production run, it was able to sell out so quickly.

Lamborghini rocked the 2016 Geneva Motor Show with the Centenario, a sleek and aggressive, limited-edition supercar built to celebrate Ferruccio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday. Limited to 40 units that were sold for at least $1.9 million long before the actual car was unveiled, the Centenario was definitely among the hottest vehicles showcased in Switzerland this year. However, it wasn’t the only new Lambo parked in the company’s booth. The extreme Centenario was joined by a milder supercar based on the entry-level Huracan. It goes by the name LP 610-4 Avio and pays tribute to the world of aviation and aeronautics.

Limited to 250 examples, the Avio is actually the first special-edition Huracan and joins a lineup that includes significantly modified versions such as the LP 620-2 Super Trofeo, LP 610-4 Spyder, and LP 580-2. Judging by the fact that its predecessor spawned more than 20 versions and limited-edition models, it’s safe to assume that the Avio is the first in a very long line of special Huracan-based supercars.

The LP 610-4 Avio arrives in dealerships this summer, with North America likely to receive a significant allocation of the 250 units. Find out more about it below.

Since its U.S. debut in the 2012 model year, the Aventador has steadily seen the introduction of new and special models. For example, in 2013 came the introduction of the Aventador Roadster, and in 2014 came the release of the 50 Anniversario special edition. Now as we roll into the 2015 model year, Lamborghini has released yet another special Aventador: the Superveloce.

Like all Superveloce models prior to it, this special Aventador is nearly a race car, as Lambo focused on dropping its weight and retuning its V-12 powerplant to crank out a few extra horses. Additionally, the Aventador Superveloce receives revised aerodynamics to increase its downforce and efficiency significantly. The only glaring issue is its super-high price tag.

While Lamborghini goes to great lengths not to divulge any revealing details about the model it will unveil at Geneva, corroborating previous information leaks makes it pretty clear that the Aventador SV (Super Veloce) is about a week away form its official debut. In case you are not yet convinced of that, you probably will be after checking the almost subliminal addition of no less than four "S" letters in the short teaser above, while if you pause at the 0:17 minute mark you will get a pretty clear view of an Aventador center console.

Obviously based on the Aventador, the SV will not only look but also go like a bat out of hell, mostly thanks to a drastic reduction in weight and a more powerful engine. While the regular Aventador makes do with a screaming, 6.5-liter V-12 that delivers either 690 horsepower as standard or 711 horsepower in the LP 720-4 Aniversario model, the Super Veloce is expected to round those numbers up to about 800. Along with around 220 pounds less weight, the new Lambo supercar should shave some time from the 2.9-second acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in the regular models.

The new model was spied completely naked during an official photoshoot a little over a month ago, so hardcore Lamborghini enthusiasts should be already prepared for the outrageous body kit, extra air intakes, giant rear wing and steamroller wheels, not to mention the four individual pipes instead of the single exhaust.

Sometimes, it doesn’t take much to make a supercar like the Lamborghini Aventador even more desirable. In some instances, though, even subtle modifications have a way of bringing out the Aventador’s uniqueness even more, which is exactly what Hamann did with its Geneva presentation of the Italian supercar. Dubbed the Lamborghini Aventador Limited, Hamann’s work on the raging bull consists of adding fancy two-tone color to go with a bevy of aerodynamic components and a nice performance bump. That’s the usual trifecta Hamann aims for when it comes to building programs perfectly suited for exotics in the class of the Aventador.

It’s no different this time, and the German tuner once again pulled it off, complete with extra doses of modification on the wheels and the interior.

All in all, just another day in the office for Hamann, which usually translates to tuning awesomeness for all of us.

Mansory sure wasn’t kidding when it described its Carbonado GT program for the Lamborghini Aventador as an overdose in carbon fiber.

To be more specific, the Swiss tuner used a carbon-fiber weave with a stealth look, which apparently is what it uses exclusively in a lot of its programs. That should be cause for confusion for those not privy to such technological marvel, but its all in a days work for Mansory.

In a lot of ways, the Swiss tuner has made a living out of these fanciful programs. Some of these projects have been knocked out of the park, while some have been complete whiffs. That said, the roster that Mansory has brought to Geneva, specifically the Carbonado GT, has been a showcase on why the company is considered one of the most exclusive aftermarket tuners in the business.

For better or for worse, Mansory wants to overwhelm even the most hardened of skeptics. And with the Carbonado GT program for the Lamborghini Aventador, and that’s precisely what it accomplished.

There are two models that we have all been awaiting to debut at Geneva. The first of those two models has been teased to the point that we pretty much already know what it will look like – the F70 by Ferrari – and the other has remained relatively mysterious. This mysterious model is the 50th anniversary vehicle from Lamborghini. Well, now the script has been flipped on its ear, as the official details on the new Veneno supercar have been released with just a few hours before its Geneva debut.

Like with all the other Lambo supercars, the new Venevo takes its name from the fighting arena: Veneno is one of the strongest and most aggressive fighting bulls ever. In 1914 he wounded the famous torero José Sánchez Rodríguez during the bullfight in the arena Sanlúcar de Barrameda’s, Andalusia, Spain.

Even though we are sorry to do it, we have to start this good news with bad news: the new Lamborghini Veneno will be limited to only three units, and despite its huge price tag of €3 million ($3.9 million at the current exchange rates), the model is already sold out!

We don’t know if Lamborghini saw the hype being generated by the expected debut of the Ferrari F70, but whatever their reason is, it looks like they’re prepared to bring a showstopper of their own to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

It’s no secret that Lamborghini is bringing something to Geneva; the only question is what model is it going to be.

Well, according to company CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, the Geneva-bound Lamborghini is going to a be a front-engine, V12 GT.

Talking to Edmunds, Winkelmann alluded that the car will carry two doors, two seats, a V12 engine, and a different underpinning than what was used on the Aventador. All this points to a supercar that will carry a front-mid-engine set-up similar to the Ferrari F12berlinetta.

From these descriptions of the car, we’re more than interested now than ever before to see what Lamborghini is bringing to Geneva. If there’s truth to what Winkelmann claims that "something truly extraordinary that’s based on the V12" is being prepared as part of the company’s 50th-anniversary celebrations, then don’t crown the F70 as the jewel of Geneva just yet.

Lamborghini is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and to mark the event the company has prepared a series of special events. Along with numerous parades, Lamborghini will also unveil a series of special-editions supercars, and one of them was recently confirmed for its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Lamborghini designer Filippo Prini confirmed that it will be a "big surprise" to everyone and that it will be "a homologated car." Bad news is that rumors are pointing toward it being built in limited edition: about 10 units are rumored to be developed. Some reports are also floating around that this could be the fastest car in Lamborghini’s history. If that rumors ends up being true, we would expect a 0-to-60 time under 2.5 seconds and a top speed well in excess of 200 mph – basically faster than the Sesto Elemento.

Lamborghini will have some supercar company in Geneva, as Ferrari will bring the Enzo successor, McLaren will bring the production version P1 supercar and Pagani also announced a surprise for the show.

Before you get too excited, keep in mind that a few days ago it was rumored that Lamborghini will unveil the Aventador LP720-4 in Geneva. Could this be the official confirmation? If so, the rumors of the fastest Lambo ever are definitely untrue, as there is no way that an extra 20 horsepower could put the Aventador in that class, unless the Italians are being sneaky with it…

Lamborghini is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and the company announced big plans for this event. The biggest surprise has been announced by Lamborghini CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, who announced that a one-off design will be unveiled to mark this event.

It has now been confirmed that this unique Aventador will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show where it will meet its biggest competitor: the Ferrari F150.

According to AutoGespot, this new model will be called Aventador LP720-4 and the name makes us believe it will deliver an extra 20 horsepower over the standard supercar. If you add the fact that Winkelmann announced it will feature a one-off design then you will definitely obtain an amazing supercar. We’re just wondering how much this car will cost? As a reminder the Aventador J unveiled last year in Geneva was sold for $2.76 million.
