2018 Maritimo S59
The all new Maritimo S59 is a ‘beamy’ single level, three cabins, two bathroom vessel with broad appeal. The S59 fits a niche market where boaties either have bridges to navigate to reach their home berths or who wanted the functionality and social benefits of single level skippering.
The S59 features a full beam master cabin, which is a hallmark of the Maritimo range, a VIP cabin with walk around double bed and a third bunk cabin.
Not only does the S59 have a very wide beam, but also a large opening lazarette similar to that provided on the larger M64 cruising motor yacht and the M51. The stern of the boat has huge storage space which is perfect for a tender or all the water toys you could want. The cockpit is accessed from both sides with openings to the hydraulic swim platform (optional) and because of the boat’s large beam space is substantial. The 5.36 metre beam on the S59 is wider than on the Maritimo S62.
Maritimo’s race proven shaft drive technology reduces fuel consumption and gives the peace of mind of lower maintenance costs and increased longevity of ownership. Like its two level sibling the S59 has all the attributes of the Maritimo brand and will be equally at home cruising Sydney Harbour, Moreton Bay, the Great Loop in the US and other great waterways of the world.

Some boats are built to serve as a luxe cruising/party platforms, and some are built for speed, but it’s rare for these two worlds to overlap. Formula has managed to do just that with its aptly-named 430 Super Sport Crossover that combines spacious below-deck compartments, a full galley below with an “outdoor kitchen” on the weather deck complete with a 240V electric grill and plenty of lounging areas with the performance that only 1200 horsepower and a planing hull can provide. Crossover, indeed! As always, the devil is in the details and this boat has plenty of them, so let’s dig in and see what else Formula Boats has on tap for us.
