The Jeep Gladiator was one of the most anticipated vehicles for a very long time. Jeep had revealed the Gladiator concept back in 2005 but took almost 14 years to roll out the production model. But, we finally had a Jeep-branded truck after three long decades. The truck was launched with much pomp and show and it caught a lot of attention. The truck comes in a wide number of trims with uncountable packages and accessories to complement it. The automaker keeps the Gladiator fresh by launching special editions, too.

However, Jeep hasn’t been able to sell the Gladiator in big numbers. One reason could be the high pricing, and the other was offering it with just a single engine option – the old but reliable V-6 Pentastar. Jeep probably figured this out soon and launched an EcoDiesel engine as an option. A Gladiator dressed in the Overland trim with the new diesel mill under the hood arrived at TopSpeed, and here are our impressions of it.

There’s no way 6x6 trucks can sneak away without catching any attention. There are quite a few aftermarket 6x6 creations like the VelociRaptor and the Mammoth by Hennessey, Gladiator by So-Flo, and some 6x6s that are built from the scratch, like the Rezvani Hercules. While Rezvani may have taken a different approach, a company called Apocalypse Manufacturing has developed a 6x6 based on the Jeep Gladiator called the Hellfire. Apart from the six-wheel-drive layout, it comes with massive tires, an active suspension system, and a cabin filled with modern tech features. The asking price for this beast runs into six digits.

The SEMA Show is turning out to be quite exciting. Jeep is taking part, obviously, and has come with a concept targeted at hard-core mountain bike enthusiasts. The automaker, along with Mopar, has transformed the 2020 Gladiator pickup truck into a fun concept vehicle for serious mountain bikers. But, what’s catchier about this concept is the number of storage spaces in the customized truck bed. Oh, and also, there’s a built-in hot dog machine. How about that!

While special editions are a nice thing to have, an overdose of them isn’t taken too well. Not long ago, Jeep introduced anniversary editions on many of its vehicles, and now, it has come up with another one for the Gladiator. This one is called the Gladiator Willys. Willys models in Jeeps have a different fan-base altogether, so we’ll let Jeep off the hook for this one. The pickup truck comes with a lot of off-road equipment in this edition, and it will be an exciting one for the folks who found the standard Gladiator a little too plain-Jane as per Jeep’s standards. Will this qualify to become a standard trim in the future?

Jeep has introduced 80th Anniversary Edition on a few of its vehicles, with the Gladiator being one of them. This special edition brings about new additions on the outside and inside the cabin, but things are the same under the hood. The Gladiator hasn’t been a runaway success for Jeep, despite the hype it garnered before its launch. Will this edition shake-up the Gladiator and bring in sales for the automaker?

We’ve seen plenty of Jeep Gladiator aftermarket builds, but this is one of a kind. South Florida Jeeps, aka So Flo Jeeps, has created a monster out of this simple-looking truck from Jeep. Called the SF 6x6G, the company has transformed every single nook and corner of this Gladiator. It rides much higher than the stock model, sits on bigger tires, comes equipped with a lot of additional accessories, has an extra axle, and the best part – packs a Corvette engine under the hood. Can a build get any better?

This was going to be Jeep’s first pickup truck in 30 years, so it was natural for enthusiasts to be hyped up for it. Jeep even introduced five different Gladiator concepts at the 2019 Eastern Jeep Safari and gave the Wranglers a miss; which is some sort of a record in Jeep’s history.

The company launched the Gladiator with four trims plus a limited Launch Edition trim, but it expanded the lineup with three more trims within a year. The Gladiator was a true-blue Jeep, but it isn’t bringing in volumes for the automaker, perhaps because of its slightly-higher pricing. But, a year post its launch with new trims in line and price discounts to lure the customers, can the Gladiator rake in sales numbers for Jeep?

The Jeep Comanche was a compact pickup truck that American Motors Corporation (AMC) introduced in 1985. Based on the XJ-generation Cherokee, the Comanche was produced until 1992. Production of the small pickup truck moved under the Chrysler Corporation in 1987, when the giant purchased AMC.

A spiritual successor to the Jeep Scrambler, the Comanche was the brand’s last pickup truck until the Gladiator was revived in 2019. Despite not being as iconic as other Jeep models, the Comanche is slowly but surely becoming a classic. Prices have gone up in recent years as this compact truck is as rare as a Ferrari. Here’s a few things you did not know about the Jeep Comanche.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator has proven its mettle since its launch and it’s not a bad off-roader by any means. However, Jeep decided to up the ante and make it even more suitable to desert terrain.

Called the Gladiator Mojave, this is the first Desert-Rated vehicle to come out of Jeep’s factory. Ever. Jeep has improved focus on the Gladiator’s suspension on this rugged pickup truck’s desert-ready version. Jeep also launched the High Altitude Edition that’s got to do more with extra features and luxury than ruggedness itself. This trim will be available on the Wrangler as well.

The Jeep Gladiator changed the way the compact pickup market was looked at. We finally have a hardcore truck that is as versatile as any other truck it competes against. We’ve covered the Gladiator as a daily driver, an off-roader, and a work truck; but, how about as an adventure truck? We guess this was the only thing left on the list.

Here’s FiftyTen, a German company that makes camping gear. The company recently teased a foldable camping gear earlier this year, and now, it has revealed the product by shelling out some details on the Gladiator-based camper that will make its debut over the coming weekend.

Jeep kept us waiting for almost three decades to bring out the Gladiator. It launched the concept truck back in 2005, but the production-spec truck was launched this year. However, it was worth the wait because Jeep managed to create an all-round truck that could be used as a daily-driver, as an off-roader, and also as a work truck. However, that Gladiator couldn’t be considered a ’beast’ in any sense. It neither looked intimidating, nor had the firepower to make people’s jaws drop. But Hennessey Performance was quick to work on this and decided to close in on the one thing that the original Gladiator was not. Hennessey has unveiled the alter-ego version of the Jeep Gladiator under the 2020 Hennessey Maximus 1000 Jeep Gladiator Truck moniker. The tuner decided not to make this a common offering and announced that only 24 examples of the Maximus will be manufactured. Is this product worth the exclusivity?

Yet another

based concept to mark its presence at the 2019 Easter Jeep Safari, the Jeep JT Scrambler concept is quite similar to the J6 - a throwback to the Jeep’s history. But this time, it’s not just about the colors, but also the graphics. The graphics and color combination strongly resonates with the CJ8 Scrambler from the ’80s. Just like all the other concepts present at this year’s Easter Jeep Safari, this one too is a showpiece to exhibit the Mopar performance parts. Actually, not just the performance parts, but also the bright, orange stickers around the body which are the highlight of this truck.

The Jeep Gladiator Gravity Concept is perhaps the smartest looking truck of the lot that was presented at the 2019 Easter Jeep Safari. We are not sure if it was the design team that worked on this concept or the marketing team, but knowing that Jeep uses this event to create, innovate, and display new Mopar products, we have to say that this truck will bring in maximum revenue for Jeep. The Gravity concept is basically a table, shaped like a truck, that showcases a plethora of Mopar performance products. This Jeep shows how you can elevate the abilities and capabilities of your Jeep by installing the products from Jeep’s performance brand. On the onset, the car looks absolutely fantastic in the orange shade while maintaining its rugged looks. Just like four other concept trucks, Jeep has based this one on the Gladiator, too. The automaker has made sure that the company’s new pickup truck receives maximum exposure from this event. But, we cannot fathom the fact that not a single concept is based on the Wrangler!

This Jeep is only concept of the lot from this year’s Easter Jeep Safari that is not a 2020 Gladiator dressed in pretty clothes. Moniker’d the ’Five-Quarter,’ this concept truck is actually a resto-mod of the 1968 Kaiser Jeep M-715, Gladiator-based, military vehicle. This concept will surely draw a lot of attention from the die-hard fans and enthusiasts who have followed Jeep with loyalty. Let me stress on this again - this is a resto-mod operation, not a replica. This is the real deal. So, of the 30,000-odd vehicles that were built, and God knows how many have survived to this day, Jeep and Mopar have actually stripped apart a 50-year old truck and garnished it with loads with new parts!

Fun fact - Jeep actually picked this model up off of Craigslist before putting it through the wringer. If this doesn’t grab your attention, I don’t know what will.

The Easter Jeep Safari, held at Moab, Utah, is a Mecca for Jeep lovers. Jeep uses these 10-odd days to showcase its concepts that not only bring out the creative side of the designers but also serves as a perfect platform to further market the lineup of highly sought-after Mopar products. One of the six concepts, the J6, is the product that serves this purpose completely. It is filled with Mopar products in and out and will undoubtedly intrigue the interest of the Safari attendees.

The J6 Concept is out there to en’lighten’ the event in all its glory. Didn’t get the reference? Well, that’s because Jeep has added a lot of LED lighting shenanigans to this truck. What makes it all the more interesting is that it has a two-door cab with a six-foot-long bed. A lot of enthusiasts have been vocal about having this same combination for quite some time now. Jeep understands this and will use this Safari as a pedestal to see if it makes a viable business case for itself.

Jeep has crowded the 53rd Easter Jeep Safari with six of its concepts. Knowing how competitive the market has gotten in this age, Jeep decided to make use of this much-anticipated event by basing five of its six concepts on the new Gladiator, you know, for maximum exposure. Jeep has also paid tribute to the 1968 M-715 for the sake of nostalgia. Jeep has invested all of its time and finances allotted for this Safari on the Gladiator-based concepts, and here is one that revolves around the theme of motocross lifestyle - Dirt bikes and bro codes. Moniker’d the Flatbill concept, this truck has been designed while keeping the desert lifestyle in mind.

It certainly looks like Jeep had a lot of fun building this concept. In fact, Jeep seems to have gone all ’bruh’ with the Flatbill concept. How often do you see an automaker relate so close to reality? It’s not just about the vernacular here; Jeep has managed to induce the ’bro-ness’ into the Jeep with styling and design philosophy. The bright color combination and the loud styling cues make this one of the funkiest concepts of the 2019 Safari lot. Oh, and did we forget to tell you that the term ’Flatbill’ is derived from the popular style of baseball hats that the Jeep folks like to wear. No, we are not making this up, bro.

It’s back! The 53rd Annual Easter Week celebration for Jeep enthusiasts is here, and we are chuffed to bits, just like every year. This year, Jeep will bring in not one, not two, but six different concepts. Five of these concepts are based on the newGladiator, while one is essentially a tribute to the 1968 M-715 military version of the old-school civilian Gladiator. Jeep has worked with Mopar to create these concepts, and each one is a work of art in its own way. However, what caught our attention is that not a single one has the Wrangler badge this time! Easter Jeep Safari without Wrangler is like Thanksgiving dinner without Turkey! Guess Jeep is too excited commemorating the Gladiator pickup instead. For the 2019 Safari, the most practical concept that could make it to production, and still dominate the market, is the Wayout concept. From Jeep’s point-of-view, this concept is a way to re-instill the spark in enthusiast’s mind that no matter which automaker comes up with fancy shenanigans, a Jeep will still be a Jeep.
