The Nissan Z finally made its official debut on 18th August 2021 and you will be able to order yours in spring 2022. With this in mind, a question you may be asking is “should I wait for the updated version?” The Nissan Z, like all other cars, will eventually receive a facelift. Although we can only guess how an updated version of the car would look like, it’s common knowledge that facelifted versions fix all (or at least some) imperfections of new models. However, this may not necessarily be the case with the Nissan Z, so is there really a need to wait a few years to get one?

Japanese automakers are on a roll and we already know what the next car to make a return is. Acura already confirmed that it’s bringing back the Integra sometime in 2022 as a 2023 model. Although the name has achieved iconic status, the competition is tough, especially when it comes to revived Japanese names. With this in mind, here’s what the new Integra needs to have in order to be a proper contender.

GM has been quite active in the pickup truck space since the beginning. It has even bifurcated its trucks between two brands – Chevrolet and GMC – and combined, both of them rake up pretty good numbers. Chevy brings in more sales as opposed to GMC and has managed to keep up with Ford and Ram in terms of models and trim levels on each of them. It even announced an electric Silverado that could arrive in a couple of years. However, the automaker has lagged in the case of a performance off-road truck. There are Silverado trims with off-roading prowess, but there’s no standalone model like the Ford F-150 Raptor and the Ram 1500 TRX.

There were rumors of Chevy working on one such product, but there’s still no concrete detail. It was rumored to be called the ZRX, but those were mere speculations. Chevy had trademarked the ‘ZRX’ moniker sometime back, but there seems to be no development on that front thus far. Is the automaker missing out on something big by not offering a performance off-road truck to the market? We sure think so.

The upcoming GT-R has to be one of the most anticipated super sports cars in recent times. Nissan has been working on a complete model redesign for its flagship sports car for a while now. Looking back at Nissan’s history, the Skyline GT-R, which has long been the icon of Nissan’s sports cars lineup, is currently in the third generation of models with the GT-R name, following the first generation from 1969 to 1973 and the second generation from 1989 to 2002.

Ferrari will build an SUV. I am not joking, the company made an announcement. It will be called the Ferrari Purosangue. That’s the official name of the Ferrari SUV. Ok, Ferrari CEO Louis Camilleri implicitly said that he does not want to hear “that word” in the same sentence with the word Ferrari. “That word” being SUV. Ok, Camilleri, I will not do it. Ever. The new Ferrari... truck… will be the most amazing piece of technology ever attempted with the “that word” layout. Luckily, we do know a thing or two about the new Purosangue.

Digression: Is the word crossover any better? Maybe, but I feel it sounds too soft for the status of a Ferrari. The Honda CR-V is a crossover for crying out loud.

The new Purosangue may take a layout similar to what we have been accustomed to with the onslaught of performance SUVs, yet the Italians promised to make it a proper thoroughbred. Incidentally (not really), Purosangue translated from Italian actually means thoroughbred. Is it just me, or the name Ferrari Thoroughbred (in English) wouldn’t sound bad at all? We have a Superfast and we like it, don’t we? Enough with the strange ideas. Purosangue it is.

Christopher Smith of Motor1 explained how to pronounce it:

“PUR-o-SAN-gue. There are four syllables, with emphasis on PUR and SAN. Phonetically speaking, start with PUR, as in a cat purring. From there just say a soft O as in oh, then SAN with a long A sound like saahn, and finish with GUE, which sounds like way but starting with a g – gway. PURR - oh - SAAHN - gway. See? It’s totally easy.”

Ford is finally adding a brand new pickup truck to its arsenal in the form of the Maverick. The truck had been spotted many times in the past, but the automaker finally confirmed its existence last week. The Maverick will be an affordable, compact truck that will slot below the Ranger in Ford’s lineup. The truck is all set to debut on June 8 on the company’s official social media channels.

It’s been a while since FoMoCo’s train-pulling PR stunt came to further hype the arrival of the all-electric Ford F-150. As Ford has been rather tight-lipped lately about its full-electric pickup truck, we thought we’d have a look at what we know up until this point and what we should expect expect from the electric F-150. Here’s what we can report for the time being.

The 2022 Nissan Z is currently one of the hottest cars around, even before it has actually gone on sale. After 13 years of milking the 370Z, the Japanese brand has finally come up with a new Z-car. The formula is the same – two seats, rear-wheel-drive, a powerful engine up front, and a manual gearbox (unless you get the automatic). Essentially, it’s a proper old-school sports car. That said, a known fact is that the new Z will carry a lot of stuff over from the 370Z. In the minds of some, this hardly justifies the purchase of the new Z, but we are here to tell you why using bits from the 370Z is actually a very good thing!

One of the best ways to showcase your technical expertise and convince buyers to buy your cars is to build a hypercar. Mercedes-AMG did it, Aston Martin too. Heck, Volkswagen AG has the best of them all - the Bugatti Veyron and the Chiron. After all, back in 2017, when Mercedes-AMG showcased the F1 inspired Project One, BMW M boss Dirk Hacker said:

“We would like to do a standalone car, and we could do it – but today there is no requirement from the market to do it. As a company, we are more focused on future mobility than digitization than building a hypercar, to be honest, but if we came to the decision to do a super sports car, then we could do that.”

2021 started with a bang for us truck lovers when Ford announced the arrival of the third-gen F-150 Raptor. What made the deal even sweet what the little disclaimer at the end of the video which said, “more to come in 2022”. Decoding this cryptic text revealed that it’s the Raptor R, which will feature a V-8 engine under the hood, as confirmed by Ford officials on Twitter soon after. Beyond this, however, there is no information available. But, using the new standard Raptor as a benchmark and a truck that will take on the Ram TRX once it arrives, we have a lot to speculate.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say what the EV market is what it is today because of Tesla. The Musk-led company has revolutionized this segment in the last decade or so. The company has got four mass-market, mainstream cars at the moment – the Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and the Model X – and others like the Cybertruck and the Roadster that are yet to arrive or are niche products.

While the S3XY range is doing very well in the market, neither of them can be called ‘affordable’ cars. In the past, Musk had made it clear that Tesla won’t be making any cheap cars, but at the Tesla Battery Day last year, he set a cat amongst the pigeons when he said that the company will build a $25,000 car. It became the talk of the town even though not much is known about it. But, here’s everything you need to know about this affordable Tesla EV.
