The Nissan Frontier has been a trusted workhorse for its owners for a very long time. The truck has been as reliable as it can get. Last year, a Chicago-based delivery driver, Brian Murphy, clocked one million miles on it! However, Nissan took the ‘don’t fix if it ain’t broke’ philosophy a little too seriously. At a time when automakers come up with significant changes even in facelifts every year, Nissan retained the same design language on the Frontier for 15 years! But, for the new, third-gen 2022 model, we get a revamped design that puts it in line with the modern trucks. The company introduced a new engine and gearbox for the previous model year and the same has been carried over this time as well.

Fans have been anticipating the Nissan Z for a full year and now, it’s finally here. The 2023 Nissan Z was just unveiled at the Brooklyn Duggal Greenhouse. This is just five miles away from where the original 240Z was unveiled, back in October 1969. This is the seventh generation of the iconic Z car and promises to be the most exciting one yet.

The sixth-generation Nissan Altima has been on the market since 2018, and was generally received as more technologically advanced, better looking, and better equipped than the fifth-gen model. Three years in, however, and it’s easy to wonder if the Altima can still hold its own so close to its mid-cycle update. The current N18, third-generation Nissan Versa was released in 2019 among falling sales in a dying segment. Featuring Nissan’s latest design language, revised technology, and better materials, but it’s still one of the last few remaining subcompact sedans on the market, and the lack of interest is so obvious it hurts. In 2019, Nissan sold 66,596 Versas in the U.S., 2,369 in Canada, and 88,707 in Mexico, while the 2020 model year saw those numbers drop to 48,273, 125, and 68,013, respectively. That leaves us to wonder: Is there something inheritantly wrong with the Nissan Versa’s recipe, or are falling sales just the result of the COVID pandemic and a general lack of public interest in small sedans? We spent a week with the Nissan Versa to find out.

When we talk about legendary Nissan cars, the first one to come to mind is always the GTR, also known as “Godzilla”. Other significant models of the brand include the Silvia and Fairlady Z models, but there is one more that has largely been forgotten – the R390. Skyline’s heritage and success largely overshadowed anything else the brand came up with. In addition, the 1990s spawned many great supercars, one of which the McLaren F1. Whether that’s the reason for the Nissan R390’s fall into obscurity, these are all the important facts you want to know about Nissan’s mid-engine supercar.

Back in February this year, Nissan unveiled the third-gen of the Qashqai compact crossover. It has been quite a seller in Europe, with over three million examples sold so far since its inception 14 years back. The third-gen Qashqai rides on a new platform, features changes inside out, and comes with hybrid engine options only. There has been a lot of weight-saving measures, too, which will result in the crossover being more efficient than before. All these changes come at a cost, which results in the 2021 Qashqai being significantly more expensive than the outgoing model.

The Nissan Armada started life back in 2004 riding on Nissan Titan underpinnings and was built in Canton Mississippi. All that changed when the second-generation was launched for the 2017 model year, with production shifting to Yakuhashi, Kyushu, Japan as Nissan based the second-gen on Nissan Patrol underpinnings that feature some very specific modifications to make it suitable for the North American market. As of 2021, the Nissan Armada has been updated to feature a prettier face, a new center console inside, and some updated technology. As is the case with all refreshed models, we’ve been wondering if Nissan did enough to keep the Armada relevant in such a brutally competitive market. Does it hold its own against the Chevy Tahoe and Ford Expedition? Well, let’s find out.

The Nissan Maxima – there’s quite a bit to say about it. Once a popular, full-size family sedan, the Nissan Maxima has fallen from average U.S. sales for 60,000 plus to just 18,141 units in 2020. Those numbers in 2020 are specifically worrying as Nissan updated the Maxima for the 2019 model year to bring in some extra safety and modernized technology. As of 2021, the Maxima is now five years into its eighth generation, so have things turned around or does Nissan have to make a tough choice between discontinuation and spending heaps of money in designing a ninth-gen model? We spent a week with the 2021 Nissan Maxima to find out, and this is our experience.

Nissan recently revealed that it will be debuting the Frontier pickup truck and the Pathfinder SUV on February 4, 2021. Both these vehicles will be entirely new and not mere refreshes. Both these vehicles are expected to follow the design philosophies of their ‘bigger’ siblings, the Titan and the Armada. The Pathfinder will come with a plethora of changes inside out, and perhaps a new off-road trim, too.

Nissan made a lot of changes to the last Frontier update, but there’s no denying that it’s still a 15-year old truck. The company recently teased the 2022 Frontier and it is expected to be the biggest change since its inception, especially in terms of aesthetics. The truck has proven its might in the past, but the styling is clearly dated and is probably the only reason for the Frontier’s dwindling sales. The Nissan GT-R (X) 2050 is a futuristic concept car based on the R35-generation Nissan GT-R. But unlike the production model, the GT-R (X) 2050 wasn’t designed by Nissan. This concept was penned by Jaebum Choi, a student from the ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. Choi, who also started an internship at Nissan Design America based the styling of his "wearable machine," a futuristic concept that would have the ability to connect to the human brain to provide better performance, on the latest-generation GT-R. As a result, Nissan decided to build a 1:1 scale model and show it to the world.
