Ford launched the F-150 Lightning earlier this year. The electric truck checks almost all the boxes and can be considered as the first mainstream electric pickup truck for the masses. There are a lot of electric trucks launched in recent years, like the Tesla Cybertruck, the Rivian R1T, the Lordstown Endurance, the Bollinger B2, etc. But, none of them offer the all-round capability that the F-150 Lightning does.

The Ford truck comes with all the bells and whistles one can ask for, and then some more. For now, Ford has launched it in one body style and three basic trims plus an exclusive work truck model, but expect it to grow in the coming years. With all the subsidies and credits, the F-150 Lightning works out to be the cheapest full-size truck in the market today! (more on this in the ‘Pricing’ section). From the looks of it, the F-150 Lightning seems to be an all-rounder that offers good power outputs, decent range, and a lot of tech features. Performance versions of the Ford Mustang have always been sought-after, by collectors. We have models like the original Shelby GT350 R, Shelby GT500, or BOSS 302, but for many, the top of the cherry, the big daddy, is considered to be the BOSS 429. But for all its performance credentials, the BOSS 429 had weight-distribution issues, which is why, in 1969, Ford decided to experiment with a mid-engine version of the BOSS 429, dubbed the LID Mustang.

The Ford F-Series can be given the tag of ‘The Truck of America’ without a doubt. The F-Series has been the best-selling range for close to five consecutive decades. Although the F-150 gets the major chunk of the volume for Ford, there are many other heavy-duty models in the range that have been ruling the respective segments. Did you notice that automakers will use absolutely every possible opportunity they have to reveal a new special edition? Which pretty much translates to asking for money for the exact same car, but with a different color? This is exactly the case with the latest Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition announced for the 2022 model year.

After giving a few but necessary tweaks to the Fiesta, Ford is back with a newly designed Focus with a few major improvements over the earlier model years. Apart from the updated front fascia, there are tweaks made to the cabin as well, including the addition of a large 13.2-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument panel. When Ford announced the new generation Expedition, it also announced the addition of the new Timberline trim - a model described by Ford as "the most off-road-capable Expedition ever."

Now, Ford took this off-road capability even further with the announcement of the new Expedition Timberline Off-Grid Concept. It will be displayed at the Overland Expo East at Oak Ridge Estates in Arrington, Virginia this upcoming weekend and the in November at the 2021 SEMA Show.

Ford is further improving the 2022 Mustang with the addition of a new all-new appearance package. It is called Stealth Appearance Package and will be offered for the EcoBoost® Premium model. Customers can place their orders later this year, while the first cars will arrive in Ford dealerships in the first quarter of 2022.

Ever since the first generation Mustang arrived back in 1965, the special California Edition was part of the lineup. And it is back for the 2022 model year, but with a few differences when compared to previous years.

For the first time is will be available with the GT Performance Package and will offer a new signature appearance to commemorate the 1968 California. Customers can place their orders for the California later in 2021, with the first deliveries scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.

If you are a fan of the Mustang, you probably already know that the right place to update your muscle car is RTR (Ready To Rock) Vehicles. The company is owned by championship drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and has offered upgrades for the Mustang for more than a decade. Now, RTR has unveiled the RTR Series 1 pack for the 2021 Ford Mustang GT Premium and EcoBoost muscles cars. Only 500 units will be built, and before you get too excited, most of them are already sold out.

The overall impressions are quite good as it gets a design refresh with new powertrain options. In the same time with the launch of the new-generation Fiesta, Ford added a new model to the lineup: the new Fiesta Van. The new model was built on the three-door Fiesta passenger car, but it offers extra load volume, making this the perfect grocery carrier in busy, European cities. The 2022 Fiesta Van will be offered in two trim levels: Trend and Sport, and first deliveries will be made in early 2022.

767 mph (1,234 km/h) - also known as the speed of sound or Mach 1. Of course, as you can imagine, Clive Sutton was not able to build a Ford Mustang that can hit this speed. He was, however, able to modify the Ford Mustang Mach 1 so it can now develop a total of 767 horsepower. If you are not impressed, keep in mind that this is almost 300 horsepower more than the standard Mustang Mach 1.

Ford offered the "Splash" package for the first time back in the 1990s when it was offered as an update for the Ranger pickup. Then, in June, 2021, the company trademarked the name again and initial rumors said it will be used for an electric pickup. Turns out those rumors were false, as the Splash is offered once again as an update package for the 2022 Ranger.

Ford will now sell an Explorer ST with rear-wheel drive, whereas if you’re not going to use the extra power, the Explorer ST-Line will come with all the show, but no go.

Ford has just showcased its seventh Ford GT Heritage Edition – the 2022 Ford GT ’64 Heritage Edition, to be exact. Just like all the previous Heritage models, this one pays tribute to one specific car from the past, and in this case, it’s the 1964 Ford GT prototype.

This 2022 GT Heritage Edition is finished in Wimbledon White paint with Antimatter Blue graphics and rides on 20-inch Antimatter carbon fiber wheels finished in blue. Behind those wheels sit Brembo brake calipers lacquered in silver with black graphics. The rest of the exterior is littered with carbon fiber components, including the following:

Meanwhile, inside the GT Heritage Edition, you’ll find seats wrapped in Lightspeed Blue Alcantara with the GT logo placed on the seating surfaces and head restraints. The instrument panel is wrapped in Ebony leather Light Speed Blue Alcantara, with Antimatter blue accents on the dash, door bezels, and seat X-braces. Finally, there’s healthy doses of carbon fiber where appropriate. As for pricing, well that’s a complete mystery, but expect it to be well above the standard GT’s entry price of $500,000. This car will be shown off to the public at Monterey Car Week next to the only remaining 1964 Ford GT prototype in existence: the GT/105.

From deep within the bowels of Hennessey comes a very unexpected project that involves a 2021 Ford Mustang, the black and white color scheme of the Le Mans-winning Ford GT40 of 1966, and 808 horsepower of full-on, all-American muscle. Okay, maybe I’m over-selling it a little bit, as it is essentially just a rehash of Hennessey’s Heritage Edition from 2018 with a different color. But hey, this is Top Speed, and we love go-fast cars – this Mustang is certainly that, and I want to tell you a little more about it.

Given the growing popularity of expensive trucks, Shelby has come with an F-150 iteration of its own. It comes with changes inside and out, and also under the hood. The Shelby F-150 now makes close to 800 horses! It also comes with an upgraded suspension setup. If you are disappointed the standard F-150 Raptor didn’t come with a power boost for the 2021 model year and you don’t want to wait for the Raptor R, this will float your boat. The only catch is that it has breached into the six-digit price bracket.

Ford has come up with a new compact pickup truck called the Maverick. The Maverick was leaked and spotted multiple times in the past. Ford teased in last week and gave us a glimpse of what to expect. Now, the truck is finally out. The Maverick will serve as the entry-level truck in Ford’s lineup and will slot below the Ranger. It will be offered with two different engine options, including a hybrid, with front-wheel-drive configuration as standard and an all-wheel-drive system as optional. The best part, however, is its price. The 2022 Ford Maverick is launched with a starting price of $19,995. Not bad, huh?
