Toyota Avalon is entering the 2022 model year with just a few minor updates across the lineup. The biggest addition is the new XSE Hybrid Nightshade Edition offered for the first time. As a result, the 2022 Avalon will be offered in six configurations with the option of two different powertrains: XLE, Limited, Touring, XLE Hybrid, XSE Hybrid Nightshade and Limited Hybrid. Prices will range from $36,375 for the XLE version to $43,075 for the Touring version. The new XSE Hybrid Nightshade Edition will be priced at $40,700.

When Lamborghini launched the special edition Aventador Ultimae LP 780-4, we knew the end of an era was coming. After a decade on the market, the Aventador is finally going to be retired. Previous rumors suggested that it will be the last Lamborghini model to feature a V-12 engine, but it looks that Lamborghini is not ready just yet to give up on the V-12.

A successor for the Aventador is right around the corner, and despite many rumors, it will continue offering a V-12 engine- it’s a hybridized engine, that’s true, but still a V-12.

We’ve seen it go up against his Model S Plaid in the past, but this time, we get to see it take on the McLaren 765LT, which has been very dominant in most of the races it has competed in. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Sunday, December 5, 2021, was fraught with penalties and confusion and produced an incredibly exciting result that means this season has one of the tensest endings of any Formula 1 season.

In September 2021, Jeep debuted the 2022 Grand Cherokee, which happens to be the fifth-gen of the long-running SUV. It marks the introduction of a whole lot of things. Back in July this year, Lamborghini debuted the LP780 Ultimae. Well, the name gives it away, doesn’t it? The Lamborghini Ultimae is apparently the ultimate expression of the Aventador line and blends elements from the Aventador S as well as the Aventador SVJ.

It is the last Lamborghini to feature a naturally aspirated V-12 engine. However, while that car marks the end of the line for the glorious V-12, sort of, the folks at Santa Agata Bolognese say that the V-12 is destined to live on for some more time.

Back in 2020, a Greek automotive designer named Spyros Panopoulos made us aware of the existence of a 3,000-horsepower ‘ultra-car’ called the ‘Chaos’. It was to be unveiled at the 2021 Geneva Auto Show, but since the show was canceled, that didn’t happen. However, Spyros Panopoulos (also the name of the company) has finally launched the Chaos after teasing it a few times in the past.

The Chaos is no ordinary beast. It makes over 3,000 horses in its best avatar, and no; it’s not an EV! The power is drawn from a V-10 engine. The company claims a 0-62 mph time of just 1.55 seconds and a quarter-mile time of under 7.5 seconds! Get over the Tesla Model S Plaid; the Chaos is here to wreak havoc!

For years now, we’ve been told to patiently wait for an electrified Porsche 911. Back in 2018, Porsche’s 911 Product Line Director, August Achleitner said that an electrified 911 in any form definitely won’t come soon, with the plan being 2022 at the very earliest. Later on, we found out that Porsche was struggling to electrify the 911 without ruining its iconic nature, and finally, back in 2020 Frank-Steggen Walliser, the man in charge of Porsche’s sports car line, said the 911 would be the last Porsche to go electric. Things clearly haven’t been looking up for an electrified 911 – hybrid or full-on EV. All of that is about to change, though, and the video we have for you today is the proof – it’s a hybrid 911 kicking ass around the Nürburgring.

Toyota introduced the new, third-gen 2022 Tundra a couple of months back. The third-gen truck was due for a long as the second-gen model was in production for 14 years. The company tweaked it many times in its run, but it started to feel too long in the tooth when compared to its chief rivals. The new 2022 Tundra was expected to come with a lot of new specs and features and it didn’t disappoint.

The highlight of the new Tundra are its drivetrain options. The company ditched the old V-8 workhorse in favor of a V-6 that is offered in three configurations. Apart from this, it rides on a new platform and features a new suspension setup, has a sharper exterior, and comes with a tech-heavy, updated interior. It starts at nearly $36,000; up by over $1,500 over the model it replaces.

Brooks from ‘DragTimes’ has come up with yet another Tesla Model S Plaid race, but for once, its legacy is at stake. So far, the Plaid has remained pretty much unbeatable, except for losing to the Rimac Nevera. This time, it faces the Ferrari SF90 Stradale – a hybrid car that makes close to 1,000 horses and is significantly lighter than the Plaid, thus giving it a better power-to-weight ratio. Will the SF90 Stradale prove to be the Plaid’s nemesis as long as it lives?
