CarWow has been synonymous with its drag racing videos on YouTube, but this time they have something different in-store. This time, two Toyota off-road vehicles are being pitted against each other, to determine, which is the better off-roader and workhorse? Moreover, both the Toyota Hilux and Toyota Land Cruiser (Prado) are not being sold on the US market, so the real question is, are you missing something?

The folks at ‘The Fast Lane Truck’ conducted a drag race with not two, but five different pickup trucks. They had trucks across segments, starting from the Ford Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz, to the Nissan Frontier, the Toyota Tundra, and the Ford F-150 Raptor. This wasn’t a conventional race wherein you just had all five trucks go at it together. It was more of a gauntlet match wherein the winner of a race faced a new truck in the next round and the loser got eliminated. Sounds a little like Squid Game, doesn’t it?

Toyota introduced the new, third-gen 2022 Tundra a couple of months back. The third-gen truck was due for a long as the second-gen model was in production for 14 years. The company tweaked it many times in its run, but it started to feel too long in the tooth when compared to its chief rivals. The new 2022 Tundra was expected to come with a lot of new specs and features and it didn’t disappoint.

The highlight of the new Tundra are its drivetrain options. The company ditched the old V-8 workhorse in favor of a V-6 that is offered in three configurations. Apart from this, it rides on a new platform and features a new suspension setup, has a sharper exterior, and comes with a tech-heavy, updated interior. It starts at nearly $36,000; up by over $1,500 over the model it replaces.

The Wheels YouTube Channel regularly put out videos on some really interesting cars going head to head at the drag strip. They were back at the Bandimere Speedway, in Morrison Colorado, and on this occasion, they had a Toyota Supra take on a tuned Jeep Grand Cherokee and a BMW M3.

The Toyota 4Runner is currently in its fifth generation - and we have to admit that, after more than 11 years on the market, it is long overdue for an update. But, a sixth generation 4Runner is still years away, so Toyota is still playing with what it has. For the 2022 model year, the 4Runner has received a series of exterior updates - nothing major though, and most importantly the addition of a new TRD Sport model.

Toyota launched the 13th-gen Land Cruiser a couple of months back. Moniker’d the Land Cruiser 300, this new generation succeeds the Land Cruiser 200 that was in production for 14 years. It is, however, forbidden fruit in the U.S. as the company has pulled the plug on it here. Just as the hype of the new SUV was dying down, a report by Creative311 has brought it back to the headlines.

According to the publication, Toyota is asking the owners not to sell their SUV within 12 months of purchase, citing global security. In fact, the company is even making the owners sign the dotted line and make it a contractual agreement. How about that!

In an age where every other SUV is either going electric or is looking to conquer the Nordschleife, here is something refreshing. This is a basic, bare-bones rugged off-roader. Behold, the 70-Series Toyota Land Cruiser, which believe it or not, you can still buy as a brand new vehicle in some parts of the world in 2021.

We know that the full-size pick-up truck will make good use of Toyota’s new-generation iForce engines, but what exactly does this mean for the engine options?

Toyota has managed to keep most of the 2022 Tundra close to home, with next to no information leaking out thus far. We do know that it’ll feature a familiar look, better safety equipment, and it’s supposed to be a “best in class, world beater” truck. Expected to be revealed sometime later in 2021, we have a lot of questions, but we now know there’s one thing we don’t have to worry about: Power. And that’s because the new Tundra will have a whole lot of it.

Toyota has been quite busy in the last few days. The automaker unveiled the new GR86, a carbon-fiber Supra, debuted the Corolla Cross, introduced the refreshed Tacoma TRD Pro, and even brought the bZ4x concept to our shores. Apart from all this, Toyota also introduced a new TRD Sport model to the 2022 4Runner’s lineup. If you want something that has more off-road vibes and street cred than the regular trims but not something as full-blown off-roader as the TRD Pro trim, then the TRD Sport will fit your bill.
