Toyota Avalon is entering the 2022 model year with just a few minor updates across the lineup. The biggest addition is the new XSE Hybrid Nightshade Edition offered for the first time. As a result, the 2022 Avalon will be offered in six configurations with the option of two different powertrains: XLE, Limited, Touring, XLE Hybrid, XSE Hybrid Nightshade and Limited Hybrid. Prices will range from $36,375 for the XLE version to $43,075 for the Touring version. The new XSE Hybrid Nightshade Edition will be priced at $40,700.

Japanese sports cars from the 1990s are some of the most recognized ones amongst the car culture. As described by Jeremy Clarkson, in a movie about the Nissan Skyline GT-R, Japan took over the world…and then lost it. While the latter is a topic for another time, what is true for the Skyline also goes for these three – the Toyota Supra, Nissan 300Z, and Mazda RX-7. The RAV4 was presented for the first time back in 1996, and since then it has been one of the most successful compact crossovers on the U.S. market. Now, for its 25th anniversary, Toyota is celebrating this huge success by adding a new trim level to the 2022 lineup. Next to that, the entire 2022 RAV4 lineup will receive both exterior and interior updates.

Toyota wouldn’t be the first brand you think of when talking about exciting cars. However, the Japanese brand has been on something of a roll in recent times and the GR Yaris is one of the best examples. If you look at sales figures for the Toyota RAV4 in both Europe and the U.S. you will see that it is a very successful model. Back in 2020 the RAV4 was the best sold SUV in the States for the fourth year in a row, while in Europe it is in the top 3 best sold Toyota models.

So, it was to be expected to see that Toyota is doing its best to further improve the model and come with more ways to attract more customers. Its latest attempt is called "RAV4 Adventure" and, according to Toyota, it "reinforces the model’s “go anywhere” spirit with stand-out rugged styling that’s ready for life in the great outdoors."

The Toyota 4Runner is currently in its fifth generation - and we have to admit that, after more than 11 years on the market, it is long overdue for an update. But, a sixth generation 4Runner is still years away, so Toyota is still playing with what it has. For the 2022 model year, the 4Runner has received a series of exterior updates - nothing major though, and most importantly the addition of a new TRD Sport model.

Toyota just showed off a limited edition model of its iconic Land Cruiser. It commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Land Cruiser family, the very first model of which debuted on August 1, 1951. Yes, you heard that right, since the Land Cruiser is 70 years old, what better way to celebrate than with a limited edition of one of Toyota’s most iconic models that is still in production to this day. However, this special edition, based on the top-of-the-line GXL trim of the 70 series, will only be available in select markets around the world.

After 14 years of the 200 Series, Toyota debuted the Land Cruiser 300, which happens to be the iconic SUV’s 13th generation. The automaker will most likely not bring it to the U.S. Instead we might get the LX instead, the Lexus equivalent of this model. The 13th generation Land Cruiser 300 Series rides on a new platform and comes with two V-6 engine options. It looks different on the inside and outside, too. Should Toyota have tried this new-gen Land Cruiser in the U.S. for a year before pulling out?

The A91 Toyota Supra has been the center of controversy ever since early 2020, when Toyota announced that the 2021 model would benefit from more power and better engineering. It got even worse when it was announced that Europeans wouldn’t get the updated 2021 model, while Toyota announced its [justification for improving the Supra its second year->art188439 on the market, despite the shaft it gave first-year buyers. Beyond this, however, the Supra has proven itself to be worthy of the Supra name, and the latest addition to the 2022 lineup gives it the carbon-fiber look that it deserves. This is the 2022 Toyota Supra A91-CF (Carbon Fiber) Edition, but don’t get too excited yet because it’s a North American affair, and its production is limited.

Toyota has been quite busy in the last few days. The automaker unveiled the new GR86, a carbon-fiber Supra, debuted the Corolla Cross, introduced the refreshed Tacoma TRD Pro, and even brought the bZ4x concept to our shores. Apart from all this, Toyota also introduced a new TRD Sport model to the 2022 4Runner’s lineup. If you want something that has more off-road vibes and street cred than the regular trims but not something as full-blown off-roader as the TRD Pro trim, then the TRD Sport will fit your bill.

What’s the best way to get someone’s attention? Scream? I guess that’s what Toyota thinks because it just launched an off-road trim of a pickup truck in a bright lime shade! Neither ‘Off-road’ nor ‘pickup truck’ can be associated with a lime exterior shade. But, Toyota seems to have done that with the 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro.

The 2022 Tacoma TRD Pro arrives in this new exclusive shade with some more off-road enhancements like an increased suspension lift, new shocks, etc. Sweet, huh?

Toyota is launching a special edition version of the GR Supra called the Jarama Race Track Edition. Named after the Spanish race track where Toyota hosted the official media drive of the GR Supra, the special edition sports coupé is limited to just 90 units, all of which are earmarked for the European market. The Toyota GR Supra Jarama Race Track Edition will be available this spring. Pricing details have not been announced.
