You probably know by now Toyota’s electric vehicle (EV) plans for the future, which includes 16 new EVs in the near term. By 2030, Toyota (including Lexus) will have a total of 30 EVs, and that includes this interesting concept that looks like an electric FJ Cruiser.

This is exactly the case with this rendering of a Toyota A70 Supra, done by Dom Höst, also known as altered_intent, and vaguely resembles its former self.

Toyota and Lexus recently unveiled a whole bunch of electric vehicles (EVs), and it basically covers every single niche and market. You can say that Toyota is pretty much late on the EV game, but they’re now trying to catch up in a big way. One of those EVs is this unnamed electric pickup concept that was also previewed during the press event.

By now, everyone out there knows that Toyota has big plans for the future: going all electric by 2035 is the company’s main focus. In fact, we’ve already seen 16 new concept cars that preview this future: SUVs, trucks, sports car, sedans, will all go electric. One concept that caught our attention though is a yellow one that is supposed to preview the long rumored MR2 successor.

Nowadays, a lot of car manufacturers talk about going carbon neutral, and Toyota is one of the companies at the forefront of this endeavor. Toyota made it clear, by now, that the company is not really interested in developing sports cars by itself. The GR Supra and GR86, both of which, co-developed with other manufacturers, are proof enough. With that being said, Akio Toyoda himself announced 15 new Toyota and Lexus models, and it seems not all is lost for car enthusiasts.

In a mega unveil for the brand’s future EV strategy, he gives us a first look at 16 distinctive concept vehicles that the brand has been working on.

When the Toyota GR Yaris was unveiled, the hype surrounding the tiny hot hatch was extremely high, to say the least. However, it was never meant to reach the North American market, which disappointed a lot of enthusiasts. It seems there’s no need to be jealous anymore as Toyota sneakily teases the GR Corolla.

Toyota might not be the company that’s most critical of combating climate change and was recently ranked as the third most resistant to climate change polices, but that doesn’t mean it’s not inching its way into electrification. The very first step in the brand’s transformation is the BZ4X, which was revealed as a concept earlier this year and is now scheduled to arrive at dealers in production form by mid-2022 as a 2023 model. Now, we’ve learned just what the production model will offer, and it’s not that bad at all.

Toyota revealed the BZ4X concept back in April of 2021, and now we’re getting our first look at the production model. Luckily, the production model looks a lot like the concept, all the way down to the aggressive body lines. When it hits the market in mid-2022, it’ll be offered with FWD or AWD and will serve as a stepping stone into the future. It’s the first of seven models planned over the next nine years, and this is what we know about it.

The Toyota MR2 is making a comeback. This isn’t the first time I’ve said those words, and it probably won’t be the last. After all, rumors about the MR2’s revival go back to as early as 2010, but when the 2020 Toyota Supra launched, things started to get a little out of control. We’ve seen a number of rumors since then, all of which were generally spawned from Tetsuya Tada’s desire to bring the three brothers back. Most of the rumors have been somewhat believeable, but this latest rumors tells of a story that would put the next-gen MR2 well above the Toyota Supra and, well, you’ve got to hear this.

It took a lot of us by surprise when Land Cruiser decided not to bring the new Land Cruiser 300 to the U.S. The beast wasn’t moving in numbers that would justify it being alive here. However, the Toyota Group has decided to replace it with the new Lexus LX600 SUV instead and will be arriving Stateside. With less than impressive sales in one of the most profitable segments of the American vehicle market, and an ageing, 14-year old generation still on dealer lots, the Toyota Tundra is arguably due for a complete overhaul. And I’m here to tell you that the all-new and improved 2022 Tundra is closer than ever, with an estimated launch date sometime towards the end of 2021 as a 2022 model year.
