It took a while but Audi finally unveiled its all-electric sports car and it’s actually derived into two variants. You’ve got the more civilian Audi e-tron GT and the higher-performance RS e-tron GT, both looking like they came out of the concept car shop.

Call it what you will but to our eyes, the Audi Q8 is a neatly executed example of what a “SUV-coupe” must look like. That or our brain has been bombarded with some many iterations of this car body style that we’ve learned to live with it.

In any case, Audi is not about superficiality and that’s why the Q8 can now be ordered with a new powertrain. A plug-in hybrid one, to be more precise, featuring a larger battery pack and two system outputs.

Kempten-based aftermarket tuner, ABT Sportsline, is known for its tune-ups for Audi vehicles. It has worked on the Avant series, the All road series, and even various Audi SUVs. Now, it has selected the German automaker’s flagship SUV, the RS Q8, and given it some steroids. It’s called the RSQ8-R and is a limited-edition to commemorate its 125th birthday in 2021. This edition will churn out 740 horses and will have a top speed of 195 mph! Now, that’s a grand way to celebrate a birthday.

Audi showed the e-tron GT conceptback in 2018 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The road-going version of this prototype is expected to debut this year in LA, but until that happens, the world needs to figure out the coronavirus outbreak and Audi has to apply the finishing touches on its new performance EV.

Audi is looking to further refine and boost the powertrain found inside the e-tron, so it’s working hard on the so-called e-tron S, which gets a three-motor setup and better dynamics.

The German carmaker is hard at work developing the bumped-up powertrain that will underpin the incoming e-tron S models (regular and Sportback) and we’ve got to hold our hands up and admit they do look very good as far as performance is concerned.

The 2020 Audi Q7 is the facelifted version of the second-generation midsize SUV. It’s an update to the hauler that Audi launched in 2015, and although it’s not a major overhaul on the outside, it features a heavily updated interior and new engines. It also comes with new driving assist features, mostly seen on recent redesigns, and more luxury options. As usual, it’s available with both gasoline and diesel powertrains, but the oil burners aren’t offered in the United States. Let’s find out more about the premium German SUV in the review.

The Audi RS Q8, without any doubt whatsoever, is a downright technological marvel. What Audi managed to extract from this hunchback SUV in terms of performance and practicality is worthy of all praise.

The RS Q8 packs a 4.0-liter V-8, two-axle steering, 10-piston brake calipers that bite into ceramic rotors, optional 23-inch wheels, and a mean electromechanical active roll stabilization system that makes the 5,103-pound mammoth drive like it’s on rails. Most of us couldn’t simply ask more from the souped-up SUV. Most of us, however, aren’t ABT Sportsline.

2019 was a splendid year for gearheads and high-end car companies alike. The Chevrolet Corvette went the mid-engine way, Bugatti blew past the 300 mph barrier with the Chiron, McLaren launched both the amazing Speedtail and the GT, while Lamborghini and Ferrari sold more supercars than they had planned.

So, we must ask. What’s Audi been doing? Sales of the Audi R8 haven’t been piercing holes through the roof, since you asked, and there’s intense talk about a new generation coming in 2022. So far Audi has been tight lipped on the topic, so the rumor mill did most of the talking. Here’s everything we know about the new Audi R8.

There once was a time when station wagons were thought of as bland and boxy people movers. They were the furthest things from what you’d consider raunchy performance monsters. Carwow, however, pitted the Audi RS 5 Sportback and the Porsche 911 Carrera S against each other and we are glad they did - and so must be Audi - because the race shows just how quick the RS 5 is in the company of a thoroughbred sports car like the Neunelfer, which also happens to pack a vicious Launch Control feature.

Audi’s RS-badged models, especially of the Avant ilk (read wagon), have mesmerized petrolheads ever since the RS2 came in 1992, which was in equal measures an Audi and a Porsche. The engine was Porsche, just like the tweaked gearbox, brakes, and wheels.

Fast-forward to 2020 and the RS-badged lineup has extended to include the RS 4, RS 7, and even the RS Q8 SUV.

How would you describe the first-generation Audi R8? While you’re finding your words, know that Jacky Ickx called it “the best handling road car today [i.e. back when it was introduced in 200]” yet we believe the old R8’s character is better highlighted not in front of its rivals and certainly not by itself, but in the presence of the current Audi R8.

While most RS and S models in the SUV range aren’t as spectacular, the RS Q8 steps in as a Lambo Urus in disguise. The highly-anticipated 2020 Audi S8, the range-topping trim of the full-size sedan, debuted today with sporty styling and more power than expected. Based on the fourth-generation A8 that debuted in 2018, the 2020 S8 is a slightly sportier version of the standard model design-wise. However, the "S" badge comes with notable changes under the hood, where a twin-turbo V-8 engine spins to the tune of 571 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. Is it better than its predecessor? The Audi SQ8 isn’t the most violent version of Audi’s Q8 SUV lineup. That spot is reserved for the RS Q8. But the SQ8 TDI is potent enough in its own way, and when you get the involvement of noted Audi tuner ABT Sportsline, the result is a face-mashing performance SUV that produces enough torque to make the range-topping RS Q8 feel redundant. The German tuner’s new program for the SQ8 SUV is a masterclass in the art of tuning upgrades. It comes with subtle but important exterior and interior upgrades that complement the power and performance gains that also come with the whole package. The tuning kit is specced specifically for the SQ8 TDI so if that’s your thing, you shouldn’t miss out on this program. If you prefer the gas-powered version that lacks the low revs and fake exhausts, you might as well just wait for the Audi RS Q8 to arrive towards the end of the year. Either way, it’s a can’t-lose proposition.

It August 2019 when, while looking for hot stuff to write, the undersigned stumbled upon Audi USA’s newsroom website, where the first article on the top of the page said, in Caps Lock: ALL-NEW AUDI RS6 AVANT IS COMING TO AMERICA!

Why the yelling, you’re wondering? Well, Audi’s RS history spans over a quarter of a century, and it is only now that the U.S. gets the RS6 Avant for the first time. Now, the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant is an absolute monster regardless of how you look at it - design or spec-wise. Its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine makes 591 horsepower (441 kW) and 590 pound-feet of torque (800 Nm). On asphalt, these numbers generate 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprints ticked in 3.6 seconds and electronic nanny-restricted top speeds of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Also responsible for such crisp performances is the eight-speed Tiptronic transmission with launch control mode and Audi’s notorious Quattro permanent all-wheel drive complemented by wheel-selective torque control and a sport differential. You get the point - beastly specs for a beastly machine. But beastliness has been embedded in the RS6 Avant’s DNA since the model’s inception back in 2002, as you are about to find out.

Audi has made a tradition of dropping stunning concepts whenever an auto show opened its doors. It did it earlier this year in Geneva with the Q4 e-tron and e-tron GT concepts, so we’ve been expecting a similar move for the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. Well, it happened once again, this time with less “e-tron” and more “quattro”: meet the Audi AI:TRAIL Quattro concept in all its off-road might.

Audi’s lineup of performance SUVs is adding another member to the fold when the flagship model, the Q8 RS, finally makes its long-awaited debut in September at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show. We’re less than three weeks away before Audi unveils the Q8 RS so ahead of the big day, the German automaker brought its newest performance SUV to the Nurburgring for some last-minute tweaking. This video of the Q8 RS running around the ‘Ring has been making the rounds, in part because of a particular sound the SUV is generating. That’s not the sound of a diesel engine, folks. That’s the sound of a V-8 gas engine with — heaven forbid — a mild-hybrid setup? Audi hasn’t confirmed the powertrain details of the Q8 RS, but all shall be revealed in a matter of weeks. LUMMA may not be as popular as ABT, Brabus, or AC Schnitzer, but this German tuning house sure knows how to grab attention. The LUMMA Design team has laid its hands on arguably the most premium-feel SUV available on the market today, the Audi Q8, and has gone berserk with it. The bold exterior design that the team has given to this rather smart-looking SUV will definitely draw polarizing opinions. Under the CLR 8S moniker, LUMMA has recreated this flagship SUV from the ‘Lord of the Rings’ in a way that is making it difficult for us to comprehend. Do we like it? Definitely not. Do we hate it? Well, let’s talk about that.

The Audi S7 is a high-performance answer to the Mercedes CLS and the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe. It’s been on the market since 2012 (as a 2013 model), and 2019 marked its shift into the second generation. And, this shift couldn’t have come at a better time because that old-school grille and boring front end just wasn’t working anymore. But, Audi delivered everything we wanted on a silver platter, with the S7 taking on Audi’s latest design language – including the wider, shorter grille and a rather aggressive front fascia. To make matters even better, Audi was smart enough to keep the designed toned down enough that the new S7 doesn’t get thrown into the same “we’re-trying-too-hard” category with cars like the Honda Civic Type R, for instance. Now, we’re still not sure about Audi dropping that 4.0-liter V-8 engine to replace it with a 2.9-liter V-6 in the U.S. or a 3.0-liter V-6 diesel for Europe, but we haven’t driven the new S7 yet, so we can’t really speak too deeply on the matter. That point aside, we really like the way the 2020 S7 looks, so we’ve decided to make it our wallpaper of the day. The Audi A6 Allroad Quattro is the perfect example of a sleeper success. The wagon has never been promoted as fiercely as its siblings, yet, it has been slowly and consistently ticking the sales clock for 20 years now. Yes, two decades! The Audi A6 Allroad Quattro made its debut in 1999 and was essentially the offroad version of the company’s station wagon. 20 years later, the fourth generation of the A6 Allroad Quattro is being launched, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

The Audi R8, aka the poor man’s Lamborghini, is only a few years old, but Audi decided to give it a thorough update for the 2019 model year. Unfortunately, what we thought was going to be a GT model was actually nothing more than the facelifted model that you see here. The good news, however, is that the standard model is now more aggressive than ever. Adding icing to that so delicious cake is that fact that it comes with some extra oomph to justify that extra aggression. How much? Only 30 horsepower, but that’s enough. Now, every trim can blast past the 200-mph threshold, and it can hit 62 mph in as fast as 3.1 seconds.
