Another year, another Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, and this time around, America’s off-road car brand is going electric. And it’s really quite interesting, so keep reading to find out how Jeep plans to electrify the good old Wrangler.

Jeep Compass has been in the market for over a decade now and has become a staple moniker in the segment now. This two-row SUV is one of the rare models in this segment that can actually be taken off the roads without doubting its abilities. Of course, it’s no Cherokee, but it does a lot better than its rivals in this aspect. Although it features a heavy 2.4-liter engine, the power outputs aren’t that great and the nine-speed automatic gearbox makes the whole drive even more lethargic. However, it comes with a nice interior setup, decent tech features, and aesthetics that will please all and offend none. So, should you pick the Jeep Compass over the Honda CR-V or the Ford Escape?

Jeep is finally giving us a V-8-powered Wrangler, for the first time since the nameplate was introduced in 1987, but it will cost a pretty penny.

According to a recent leak, the 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 will start from around $75,000, which is a massive premium over the regular Rubicon and a sticker that puts it above the Grand Cherokee SRT.

The Jeep Wrangler is legendary for its rugged design and impressive capability on the unbeaten path. And that’s mostly why the idea of an electrified Wrangler seemed ridiculous until recently. But Jeep is slowly electrifying its lineup and, somewhat surprisingly, it picked the Wrangler as the first nameplate to benefit from a full-fledged hybrid setup. And the result is the fastest and most powerful Wrangler developed so far!

Jeep added a new version to its Wrangler lineup: called Wrangler 4xe - the new model has been described as the most capable, technically advanced and eco-friendly Wrangler ever. The car is also the third hybrid car in Jeep’s lineup next to the Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe models.

Jeep recently unveiled its first hybrid vehicles based on the Compass and Renegade SUVs, but the FCA-owned brand is also working on an all-electric hauler. Recent intel claims that the upcoming crossover will be even smaller than the Renegade and that it will benefit from technology by PSA, following the recently announced merger between FCA and the French group that owns Peugeot, Citroen, and Opel.

Electric vehicles are taking over the automotive market and there’s not much we can do about it. It started with hatches and sedans, but the transition is trickling down to hardcore off-roaders as well. We’ve already heard the news about an electric Jeep Wrangler.

So far, all we knew was that FCA is considering one and it will come down the line. It was bound to happen anyway. Now, however, Jeep’s design chief has ascertained that it will be better than the current ICE-powered Wrangler. Does this mean that the current Wrangler has reached its saturation point and there’s no scope for further improvement until an electric powertrain is plonked in?

It won’t be wrong to say that the Jeep Wrangler is a cult of sorts when it comes to customizing a vehicle. The Wrangler is one of the most customizable vehicles not just with aftermarket accessories, but also thanks to the rich directory of the in-house guide, Mopar.

The Wrangler comes with so many optional accessories and packages that it might leave you scratching your head. To help you with this conundrum, Jeep decided to customize the Wrangler in-house with accessories and call it the 2020 Jeep Wrangler JPP 20. It was showcased at the Chicago Auto Show and it did grab a fair bit of attention. Looks pretty sweet, doesn’t it?

The Jeep Renegade entered the market back in 2014 as a 2015 model and, despite the fact that it was expected to replace the Jeep Compass, the two models share a home in Jeep’s Lineup. Jeep has launched the 2020 Gladiator is four different trims: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon. There was a Launch Edition limited to 4,190 units as well, but for now, we’re going to focus on the standard trim levels and what boxes you should check when you’re filling out your order form.

Despite having a range of competent products in the stable, the need for a pickup truck was hurting the company. But, after almost three decades, Jeep finally decided to bring back the Gladiator, and the truck has been the talk of the town ever since. Jeep has left no stone unturned to make the 2020 Gladiator the star of the lineup. Right from headlining the Easter Jeep Safari with as many as five concepts based on the Gladiator, to launching an online configurator to customize the pickup truck as per your needs, Jeep has done it all.

When Jeep revealed the Gladiator, the Wrangler-based pickup model it added to its range last year, many in the automotive scene were overjoyed. They raved about how good this new midsize truck is going to be, how long it’s been since Jeep had a pickup in its range, and the genuine need for such a vehicle that blends the Wrangler’s unmatched off-road capability with extra utility and carrying capacity.

The Jeep Renegade Hybrid is the electrified version of the company’s smallest SUV to date. It’s also the company’s first hybrid vehicle alongside the Compass Hybrid. Launched in 2019, it’s identical to the familiar Renegade save for the fact that its gasoline four-cylinder engine works in conjunction with an electric motor. The Renegade Hybrid joins a tight subcompact SUV market that includes plug-in hybrids like the Kia Niro and the Toyota C-HR. But even though it’s a bit late to the party, it comes with superior power, torque, and class-leading off-road capability. The 2019 Geneva Motor Show afforded Jeep the opportunity to showcase the Wrangler Rubicon 1941, a Mopar-tuned off-roader wearing just about every bit and piece from Mopar’s parts catalog. Dressed in a splashy yellow exterior paint, the Wrangler Rubicon 1941 is what happens when you spend too much time dressing up your proud Jeep off-roader. The Wrangler Rubicon 1941 is a showpiece model; the upgrades and accessories included are completely street-legal. In the event you want your Wrangler Rubicon to look the part of the 1941 model that was on display in Geneva, there’s a way to accomplish that without burning holes in your pockets. Just prepare to dive deep into Mopar’s parts bin.

The Compass has been in Jeep’s stable for around 13 years now. It was unveiled as a concept at the 2002 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Although revealed as a two-door concept, the Compass was ultimately launched as a four-door crossover four years after it made its world premiere in Detroit. Five years into production, Jeep decided to give the Compass a face that resonated with the Grand Cherokee. Soon, the Compass started receiving its own identity as with many off-road features and packages available. In 2017, the second-generation of the Compass was launched, and it replaced its predecessor, as well as the Jeep Patriot. It will not be the worst thing to say that even though it could not garner big numbers for the automaker from 2007 to 2017, there was consistent growth in the sales figures. However, 2018 turned out to be the breakthrough year for the Jeep Compass. Jeep sold 171,167 examples of the Compass in 2018, an increase of 87,914 from 83,253 copies it sold in 2017. That’s more than 100-percent growth! Carrying over its rich form from last year, the Compass came to Switzerland with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The Compass did not come alone; the Renegade accompanied it with the same mill under its hood. It’s like two brothers wearing the same clothes to go to a party. That’s cute.
