Okay, so I’m quite conflicted about this idea. An off-roading minivan sounds pretty cool, but I don’t want to see it happen. It’s like machines and AI taking over the world; I want to know how it would be in reality, but I don’t want it to happen. Anyway, I digress.

Some renderings of a pretty cool off-road Jeep minivan surfaced on the internet sometime back and it became the talking point for a lot of folks. It looked so ridiculous that one could see the automaker get behind this idea. Jeep, however, dismissed the idea of coming up with a minivan anytime in the future, no matter how off-road-centric it could be. Ugh, that’s disappointing. Or wait, am I happy about it? I don’t know!

The Grand Wagoneer Concept looks every bit like the production model that we can expect to see in dealership showrooms in 2022. But 2022 is still a ways away, and as we wait for the production-spec Grand Wagoneer to arrive, we can spend that time admiring all the renderings that have already been released, a lot of which show the hulking SUV in different forms and functions.

One rendering, in particular, caught our attention, not because of who created it — Abimelec Design — but because of what he created. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Jeep Grand Wagoneer Woody, a creation so nostalgic you can smell the air of the 1980s from your computer screens.

It ain’t easy to break into the world of automotive design, but three talented high schoolers are well on their way to landing their dream jobs, as recognized by FCA in a recent contest to pen the 2030 model year Jeep Wrangler.

July 15 is an important date in Jeep history. In fact, it was on this date in 1941 that the U.S. government awarded Willys-Overland Motor Company the contract to build the Willy MB. Now, 75 years later, Jeep is celebrating by building a one-off Wrangler configured to look like its grandfather. This modern take on the original will roll off the same assembly line as the MB (minus the modernization and robots, of course), making the occasion even more sentimental.

“We are creating this unique Jeep Wrangler 75th Salute concept vehicle in celebration of the brand’s legendary history, and to demonstrate that 75 years later, today’s iconic Jeep Wrangler is instantly recognizable and clearly connected to the original Willys MB,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. “Since they were first produced in 1941, Jeep vehicles have been the authentic benchmark for off-road capability, having mastered more terrain, led more adventures and provided drivers more freedom than any other vehicle before or since.”

Manley is certainly right about the Jeep (and more specifically, the Wrangler) being the benchmark for off-road capability. Think about it – what over vehicle has remained so true to its original roots for more than 70 years? Not many. If fact, there are very little modifications needed to make this 2016 Wrangler look like a 1941 Willys MB. Let’s dive into the details below.

Jeep’s lineup of concept vehicles for the 2015 Easter Jeep Safari wouldn’t be complete without one of its newest products. Meet the 2015 Jeep Cherokee Canyon Trail concept. This Jeep gets a host of upgrades and off-road performance parts for tackling the tough trails of Moab, Utah.

Proving that the Easter Jeep Safari is about more than just the iconic Wrangler, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander shows what kind of potential Jeep’s popular SUV could have in store for the adventurous types. While most of these Easter Jeep Safari concept vehicles tend to focus on the rigorous trails of Moab, the Grand Cherokee Overlander was built with a broader focus in mind: a perfect vehicle for any wilderness expedition regardless of terrain.

With a little over a week to go until the 49th Easter Jeep Safari, Jeep has unveiled all seven of the concept vehicles that will be making the trek out to Moab. Each of these exciting concepts help showcase the passion that exists within the Jeep brand, and this year’s lineup of concepts might even trump the Jeep concepts from the 2012 Safari, which were headlined by the Mighty FC and J-12.

Every year Jeep pulls the covers off several concept vehicles just ahead of the Easter Jeep Safari held in Moab, Utah, and 2015 is no different. This year’s crop includes seven, fully custom Jeep vehicles from the new Renegade to the trusty Cherokee and Grand Cherokee siblings and of course the rough and tumble Wrangler.

Jeep has always been good for showing off its designers’ talents with a slew of concept vehicles every year, and 2015 will be no different. Headed for the Geneva Motor Show floor is the Hard Steel concept – a bare-body Renegade fitted with tons of custom work, Mopar parts, and its own little mini-me trailer.

If there is one show that really brings the best out of Chrysler’s MOPAR tuning division, it is SEMA in Las Vegas.

Topping its past SEMA showcar roster, it looks like Mopar is once again pretty busy developing the models it will display in Las Vegas during the 2013 SEMA Show.

This year Mopar will bring no less than 20 heavily modified models, coming from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat and SRT. Plus a few buyer customers from Chrysler’s Facebook challenge prize-winners.

The first teaser images revealed today show:

an updated Jeep Cherokee in various flavors some hot Fiat 500’s a Mopar Ram 1500 and the latest look for the Mopar Chrysler 300.

Those of you whom will be in Las Vegas this year will also have the chance to take a first look at the latest Jeep Performance Parts, developed by Mopar Off-Road Division and even for sale in many Jeep dealers.

The 2013 SEMA will open its door on November 5th, but stay tuned for all the pre-show news!
