And while each of them has had their fair share of special editions, we can’t help but wonder what classic American cars can be like, with a European twist. Whether it’s their design or an unusual engineering solution, these are the most obscure American classic cars ever to exist.

Coming up with a car that can both give you the ultimate driver satisfaction and be a usable daily driver is a tall order. Or at least it used to be. The two contenders in today’s drag race prove that nothing is impossible. The YouTube channel Sam CarLegion has arranged for the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat and Mercedes AMG E63 S Wagon to throw down on the drag strip and see, which is the ultimate grocery getter.

If you’re an enthusiast who also happens to have a family, these two cars are definitely ones that have been on your shopping list. With cars like these, even mundane tasks like trips to the supermarket or family excursions are things you can look forward to because it’s not just the kids who get to have fun. YouTuber Sam CarLegion put out a video of two Grocery Getters taking on each other in a series of drag races.

Looking to visit the ever-burgeoning SUV camp? Then the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat with an engine out of a muscle car is a great way to haul the kids around. However, if you are a bit more traditional, then you just can’t go wrong with a wagon, can you? The Mercedes E63 S AMGcertainly fits that bill rather well. With this Autobahn muncher, you can rapidly cover vast distances in absolute style and have a lot of fun along the way.

Hennessey has been quite active on its YouTube page lately. The aftermarket company is planning to infuse its famed HPE1000 package into the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. But, before the SUV went under the knife, Hennessey decided to race it stock with some other sports car. Recently, the company brought the Durango SRT Hellcat and the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 to the drag strip and raced them both. This time, it’s the family SUV versus the Chevy C8 Corvette. Can it make short work of the C8 ‘Vette?

After various spy shots and a [teaser in February 2020 that hinted at a Durango Hellcat, we kind of knew that it was coming. But, Dodge did kind of dropped it on us out of nowhere,, and it was pretty damn impressive. A Durango with a supercharged, 6.2-liter, V-8 that delivers 710 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque wasn’t necessarily what we needed, but it damn sure was what we wanted. It can even get to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and tops out at 180 mph – performance figures that were once limited to high-end sports cars and supercars not that long ago. Things were looking good, but now it seems that it might be a little harder to get a Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat that previously thought, thanks to a short production run.

Let’s be honest here. Which of the two would you take for a spin during track day? Is it the beefy Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeye or the chunkyLamborghini Urus? Tough call, right? We’re thinking none of them, just to be clear, but MotorTrend here did it anyway.

So, here’s the thing. You’ve got a heavy SUV racing against a heavy muscle car that’s been fitted with bits and bobs from the Demon, a car that’s designed and built to go freakishly fast in a straight line. Hell, what can go wrong?

With the calendar turning over a new page to 2012, the very first major auto show is set to open its doors in Detroit when the North American International Auto Show welcomes automakers - both local and foreign - to the Motor City.

This year, American brands are coming to Detroit in full force where they will be joined by a number of international automakers in presenting a steady diet of concept cars, production debuts, and just about everything else in between.

Among the notable debuts set to take place include the brand-new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL, as well as the 2013 Bentley Continental GT V8. German automaker Porsche has also penciled in the 911 Cabriolet for the festivities, while Lexus will be on-hand to display the intriguing and mysterious LF-LC 2+2 sports coupe concept.

As for the local contingent, Ford is leading the way with the premiere of the Fusion global mid-size sedan while Dodge is set to introduce their Alfa Romeo Giulietta-based compact sedan, the Dart.

The Dodge Viper is a V10-powered sports car that went on sale in January 1992. 16 years later the company celebrates the production of the 25.000th Viper.

The event will be held at Chrysler LLC’s Conner Avenue Assembly Plant on March 12 and with this occasion, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kurt Busch will receive a 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10.

The 2008 Viper SRT10 is powered by a 8.4-liter aluminum V-10 engine that produces an astounding 600 horsepower and 560 lb.-ft. of torque.
