In case you’ve got the memory of a goldfish, I just want to remind you how the lead-up and eventual debut of the Dodge Hellcat Demon completely enthralled the automotive enthusiast community. And rightfully so – because after all, more than 800 horsepower, a 0-to-60 mph time of 2.3 seconds, and a 9.6 quarter mile time at 140 mph are the kind of specs usually reserved for baseless forum post gloating, not highly accountable factory-fresh production vehicles. Nevertheless, the Demon is now very much a thing, which makes this recently spied Hellcat variant a bit of a mystery. You see, it appears as though it’s rocking a widebody kit similar to the Demon, but with Hellcat details, such as a hood and badging from the bad cat, leading to rampant speculation as to what FCA is up to.

As you might expect, there are more than a few theories floating around. It could be little more than a new styling option, or it could be an entirely new model. At this point, it’s hard to say with any certainty, but that’s what makes speculation so fun, right?

The wait is over for the all-new 2015 Dodge Charger, though with a quick glance at the photos, it seems ‘all-new’ is a bit of a stretch. But while everything but the front grille may look carried over, nearly every body panel has been updated. The subtle changes continue inside with a reworked dashboard, a more techno-laden gauge cluster, a new center stack, and a sweet T-handle gear selector. Things under the hood are still familiar, too. The base 3.6-liter, Pentastar V-6 returns, as does the venerable 5.7-liter, HEMI V-8. The transmission options have changed, however. The eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic is now standard across the board, helping the Pentastar V-6 achieve 31 mpg on the highway while assisting the 5.7-liter HEMI sprint to 60 mph in roughly five seconds.

The interior sees a host of electronic upgrades and new technologies within Chrysler’s latest version of Uconnect. Voice texting, updated 3D navigation, WiFi hotspot capabilities, and the all-new Dodge Performance pages all find a home within the 8.4-inch touch screen. That latter item holds a plethora of performance options and customizable settings including launch control and its rpm settings, performance timers, extra gauges, and even a g-force meter.

Matching the updated and more upmarket interior is the Charger’s reworked outer skin. The most noticeable changes lie up front with its more Dodge Dart-like appearance. Around to the sides are scalloped doors still flowing into the large rear haunches and then to a detail-rich rear fascia. A new crop of wheels completes the 2015 transformation.

Updated 10/20/2014: Dodge announced prices for the entire 2015 Charger lineup which will go on sale at a starting price of $27,995 for the base SE version and goes up to $47,385 for the top SRT 392 version.

The 2021 Dodge Barracuda is an upcoming sports coupe Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Set to replace the Dodge Challenger, the Barracuda will compete in the same muscle car segment as the highly popular Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. Rumored to make a comeback since 2007, it seems that the Barracuda nameplate will finally return for the 2021 model year. However, since the original Plymouth brand is no longer around, the Barracuda badge will come back on a Dodge. Details as still slim as of March 2020, but we put together a speculative review based on everything we know so far. Check it out below.

The SRT Viper’s debut is still 12 hours away, but it was highly unlikely that the highly anticipated return of the Viper would stay secret until then. The first two images of the car have surfaced on the internet and they confirm what everyone has been saying for quite some time: the new generation Viper’s design will pay tribute to the original Viper and will be sleeker, smoother, and even more impressive than before.

These first two images show off just that and although we haven’t seen the full frontal view just yet, we anticipate that the new generation Viper will undoubtedly be on our list for "Car of the Year!"

As a reminder, it is believed that the new Viper will be powered by an 8.7 liter V10 engine - the largest engine ever used in a Chrysler production car - so expect to see a phenomenal output! The car will go into production in late 2012 as a 2013 model, with the first five units being offered to members of the Viper Club of America.

More details will be revealed tomorrow during its official debut in New York, so stay tuned!

If some of you happened to miss 60 Minutes’ interview with SRT Brand President and CEO Ralph Gilles, then you probably missed out on a very strange looking car in the background. The car is undoubtedly a coupe, but the question is: is it the upcoming SRT Barracuda? Some say it is, but when asked about this, Chrysler officials said it was just one of the many concepts they are developing around their studio. Come on, if it was really the Barracuda, would they so openly confess to it?

If it is indeed the Barracuda as many believe it is, it will be brought on as a replacement for the current Dodge Challenger. The car will be powered by a supercharged 6.2L Hemi engine that will deliver somewhere around 490 to 540 HP range. As for the platform to be used for the new Cuda, there are two possibilities: one is a shortened large-car platform (LC or E-EVO) and the second is the new Alfa Romeo D-size platform currently under development.

The new SRT Barracuda is expected to be unveiled somewhere at the end of 2013. We’ll get more details on the development as pass them along!

Dodge is doing a pretty good job keeping any and all secrets for the next generation Dodge Viper’s exterior look at bay and, quite frankly, we’ve grown tired of waiting. Yes, we got a sneak peek at the front of the car on a mule testing the engine components, but to see an idea of what the entire car will look like, we put our artists to work.

Ralph Gilles, head of Chrysler’s design, has said that "there won’t be a part of the car that’s untouched." They can say what they want about the entire car getting made over, but our sights are set on the long hood housing a yet-to-be-unveiled powerhouse engine. The recent spy shots taken of the new Viper had a big air intake in the front bumper and what looks to be three air intakes in the hood. A need for cool air can only translate into a fiery engine and we are twitching at the thought of what it could be.

The first rumors surrounded the engine choice suggested the Viper would get a new direct-injection 8.4-liter V10 engine that would deliver around 700HP. Then, European magazines were talking about a V8 engine with an output of 500 HP for an entry level version. The latest ripples in the rumor pond are flowing towards a variation of Chrysler’s new 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 with some form of forced induction. This new engine will also be available with stability control, a feature never before seen on their high-performance car.

To say we’re excited for the unveiling of the 2013 Dodge Viper would be an understatement. Unfortunately, Dodge has plans of its own and our impatience isn’t going to deter them from their path. We’ll just have to keeps our eyes and ears perked up for any and all information available.

This is evidenced by a Viper mule recently caught testing with the new Viper front end attached to the old body style. Something is cooking under that hood and whatever engine that may be, it will need plenty of fresh air to keep it cool. Check out the big air intake in the front bumper and what looks to be three air intakes in the hood. This engine will be a beast and Dodge is doing whatever it can to keep it at bay.

Looks like Dodge really did their homework in redesigning the 2011 Charger.

Fresh off of releasing the first batch of photos of the 2011 Charger’s exterior, Dodge has gone ahead and given us a glimpse of what to expect with their new muscle car’s exterior. It’s only one photo, but it does give us a nice view of the inside of the new Charger, which has been given its own facelift.

Among the notable changes in the car include a brand-new, three-spoke steering wheel that upon closer inspection also has the new Dodge logo plastered on it. The door panels and the dashboard also seem to have been given their own respective tweaks while the center storage just below the transmission looks to be cleaner and more polished than in past models.

So far, this is the only photo we have of the 2011 Charger’s interior, but we expect more to come out soon as Dodge prepares to drop the cars at dealerships before the end of the year.

Dodge has already announced that they will be bringing out another Viper in 2012 to replace the current model being shown the door. And as excited as everyone is to take a peek at the next dream machine, no one has dared to make a rendering of the future model. Well, until now of course. Here is the first beautiful rendering of the future sports car; more specifically, the SRT-10 version. And we have to admit it looks amazing!

It is rumored that the nextViper will come with a more aggressive design, featuring all-new bodywork painted 25 times in candy-apple red. They also said the car’s look had moved away from its race-car roots and evolved into a more traditional sports car. And this is exactly what this rendering is all about: it is something more sensual, freshly beautiful, and of course, more traditional.

It is also rumored that Chrysler will place an 8.4-liter V10 engine incorporating Fiat’s innovative Multiair technology under the hood with an entry-level V8 engine also under consideration.

There’s been some vital talk surrounding the Avenger/Sebring duo and whether or not significant changes need to be made to them. Diehard Avenger/Sebring fans, most of which probably only rent them during their vacations, will say the cars are great just the way they are. Others, we would tend to say most, believe these two models are just plain tired. Unfortunately, until now, we hadn’t heard anything concrete on the updates that are being made on them other than a reworked suspension and some upgrades in the interior.

Thankfully, the guys over at Secret New Cars were able to get a few spy shots of the next generation Avenger. The main focus of the shots is the heavily cladded front end leading us to believe that the next Avenger will be sporting a whole new face. We anticipate a new grill and a new front bumper as well as some new headlights. Other than that, the Avenger will pretty much stay the same. Maybe, eventually, Dodge will decide it’s time for a complete remodel. We just hope the car doesn’t completely die out before that happens. Then again, we really wouldn’t care if it did.

With the 2011 Dodge Charger’s debut only a few months away, even more spy shots have come in, and it seems as if the new Charger has shed some clothing. And if that isn’t enough, ninjas even got some interior shots.

The new Charger seems to be a bit more edgy than before, with big alloys and detailed headlamps. Sporting a ram head logo, the spied car differentiates from the double stripe logo that the division says will make the future vehicles stand apart from the separated Ram trucks division.

Expected to hit the market at the end of 2010 as a 2011 model, the more aggressive Charger will fit into Chrysler’s new five-year product announcement. The new Charger will sport Chrysler’s new V6, with a V8 in the R/T version. A later SRT8 version is expected to be powered by a massive 450-hp 6.4 liter V8.

With production set to start in October, expect prices in the $25,000+ range.

Just last month, Dodge president Ralph Gilles talked a little about the future of Dodge’s vehicles, stating that the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee was just the beginning of Dodge’s plans. Today, a reader was able to catch another glimpse into their future with a photo taken of the backend of the 2011 Dodge Charger. He was able to catch the muscle car taking a break from its testing in Florida and, although it is still bandaged up, could see some revised taillights and some hid headlights. The reader was able to take a peek on the inside and that revealed a unique two-tone leather interior that he said “looked upscale for a Dodge.”

In last month’s discussion, Gilles mentioned that the company was looking into a “higher-power version of the Pentastar V-6 with unique power rating” for the 2011 Dodge Charger. The sounds coming from the exhaust of the test vehicle assured us that a higher power version was found and utilized. Another interesting feature our reader noticed was the square cutouts in the bumper housing the dual exhaust which is similar to the feature found on the Chevrolet Camaro.

Who would have ever thought that Twitter could actually be a real news tool? Not us, unless of course you want a follow a celebrity’s every move. Anyway, Chrysler has yet to show anything on the newDurango, which could be called the Magnum.

Fortunately for all of us, some Twitter user snapped a photo of what appears to be the new Durango/Magnum and it doesn’t look too bad. The exterior hasn’t changed a whole lot and the front still has that big Dodge crossbar front end. All that aside, while it doesn’t look bad, it sure doesn’t look good. If this is the only "new" Dodge can come up with then we are in for a few long years. We like the look of the Jeep Grand Cherokee far more than this SUV.

Expect the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 to be the engine options when this thing hits Chrysler showrooms in 2011.

We know pretty much everything there is to know about the2011 Dodge Challenger, including the car’s prices list, but Chrysler hasn’t released an official press release yet. So, to get a closer look at the future muscle car, we went hunting. Turns out, we got lucky; Jonsibal caught the car in a parking lot!

Looking at the picture we are sure you were a bit surprised at how little the muscle car has changed. The list of exterior modifications include new 5-spoke wheels, the elimination of the "RAM Head" Dodge logo, a redesigned grille featuring a frown-like shape, and new door handles. That’s pretty much it for any changes. Exhilarating, isn’t it? It’s a good thing the Challenger is a sweet looking car or else we would be disappointed.

Thankfully, the biggest changes will be made under the hood and we couldn’t think of any better place to make the most changes. What goes fast can always go faster, right? The SE version will get a Pentastar V6 engine with an output between 290 and 300 HP, if the direct injection is added. For the RT version the engine will remain the same and the SRT8 version will get a new 6.4-liter Hemi engine delivering 480 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Dodge is currently under intense preparation for their next generation Durango, that, according to a leaked production list, will go into production on November 8, 2010 at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan.

The 2012 Durango will be built on a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee platform which is also shared with the 2011 Mercedes ML-Class. It will be powered by the same engine as the Jeep model, meaning a Pentastar 280 HP 3.6-liter V6 and the 390 HP 5.7-liter Hemi V8 for the top version. Rumors say that the new Durango will also get a Fiat diesel engine.

A name change to the 2012 SUV is also expected. As of late, Chrysler has yet to mention the Durango name. They’ve been calling this 2012 model the "full size CUV". Rumors have been circulating around the Magnum name.

In a lunch sponsored by Dodge at the Economic Club of Chicago just outside the Chicago Auto Show, the company unveiled a sketch of what could be a new compact car the brand is planning on creating in the future.
Presented by Dodge head honcho and Chrysler Senior VP Ralph Giles, the sketch resembles a three-door compact hatchback whose sleek and swooping design has led to speculation that the car might show up at a future auto show as a new concept.

There are no further details as to what Dodge has in store for the concept so it’s anybody’s guess really as to when – or if – the potential compact car will be released in the future. Other than showing off the sketch of the car, Dodge is keeping their cards close to their vests on this one.

What we do know is that when Fiat took over Chrysler, one of the Italian auto giant’s first points of emphasis was to add a compact segment to a number of Chrysler-owned brands, most notably that of Dodge. Taking from this, we’re guessing that the sketch they showed at the Economic Club of Chicago will be the first of what promises to be many versions of the promised Dodge compact vehicle.

Before Congress made it rain cash, it wanted a plan for fuel efficient cars from the Big Three. Maybe this is why Chrysler was out testing one of the three electric prototypes reveled in September. The car in the grainy spy shot above is the coolest of the trio, the Dodge EV.

The EV is just a thinly rebadged Lotus Europa with a battery pack and a few Dodge styling elements. We like Lotus’ cars, so we should not have too much trouble liking the EV when it arrives in 2010 (even it it wears a Dodge name.)

The Dodge EV is a plug-in electric car that is powered by a 200-kilowatt electric motor that drives the rear wheels. The engine is rated at 268 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. Chrysler says the EV should make 0 to 60 mph sprint in 4.7 seconds, and it could have a range of about 150 to 200 miles on a full charge.

The Dodge Challenger production version was spotted n front of the workplace of Ford Tuning specialist, Roush. Maybe they were just passing by, but maybe there will be a Roush Challenger?
