2022 Nissan Frontier - Driven
The Nissan Frontier has been a trusted workhorse for its owners for a very long time. The truck has been as reliable as it can get. Last year, a Chicago-based delivery driver, Brian Murphy, clocked one million miles on it! However, Nissan took the ‘don’t fix if it ain’t broke’ philosophy a little too seriously. At a time when automakers come up with significant changes even in facelifts every year, Nissan retained the same design language on the Frontier for 15 years! But, for the new, third-gen 2022 model, we get a revamped design that puts it in line with the modern trucks. The company introduced a new engine and gearbox for the previous model year and the same has been carried over this time as well.
The 2022 Nissan Frontier in the top-sped PRO-4X off-road trim arrived at TopSpeed’s headquarters recently, and here’s all you need to know about it.
Off-Road Battle: Toyota Land Cruiser Vs Toyota Hilux
CarWow has been synonymous with its drag racing videos on YouTube, but this time they have something different in-store. This time, two Toyota off-road vehicles are being pitted against each other, to determine, which is the better off-roader and workhorse? Moreover, both the Toyota Hilux and Toyota Land Cruiser (Prado) are not being sold on the US market, so the real question is, are you missing something?
2022 Ford F-150 Lightning
Ford launched the F-150 Lightning earlier this year. The electric truck checks almost all the boxes and can be considered as the first mainstream electric pickup truck for the masses. There are a lot of electric trucks launched in recent years, like the Tesla Cybertruck, the Rivian R1T, the Lordstown Endurance, the Bollinger B2, etc. But, none of them offer the all-round capability that the F-150 Lightning does.
The Ford truck comes with all the bells and whistles one can ask for, and then some more. For now, Ford has launched it in one body style and three basic trims plus an exclusive work truck model, but expect it to grow in the coming years. With all the subsidies and credits, the F-150 Lightning works out to be the cheapest full-size truck in the market today! (more on this in the ‘Pricing’ section). From the looks of it, the F-150 Lightning seems to be an all-rounder that offers good power outputs, decent range, and a lot of tech features. Do you think it will be a runaway success, or will the loyalists look around at other trucks?
2021 Ford F-250 - Driven
The Ford F-Series can be given the tag of ‘The Truck of America’ without a doubt. The F-Series has been the best-selling range for close to five consecutive decades. Although the F-150 gets the major chunk of the volume for Ford, there are many other heavy-duty models in the range that have been ruling the respective segments. We recently laid our hands on the 2021 F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab. This Limited trim F-250 featured a four-wheel-drive system and came with the V-8 diesel mill that puts out a four-digit torque figure! Read on to know more about it.

This Model T and its Siblings Are Built By the Same Company Behind the Apple iPhone
Cars are getting more and more advanced every year, leaving them more dependent on electronics and technology. With this increasingly blurry line dividing the world of technology like laptops and smartphones and the world of cars, more tech companies are having a go at making their first automobiles. Hon Hai Technology Group, the owner of Foxconn, debuted three new electric vehicles at the Hon Hai Tech Day 2021 event. Those electric vehicles are the Model C, Model E, and the ambitiously named Model T.
Watch the Venom 775 destroy the Mustang GT500 in a 1/4 mile showdown
In today’s ¼ mile showdown, we have a Hennessey F-150 truck, taking on a stock Mustang GT500 at the Pennzoil proving ground test track, down in Sealy, Texas. This is a performance spec battle with two vehicles from two very different ends of the Ford line-up. They both pack similar power, although it comes as no surprise that the truck weighs more. Let’s look at the numbers first, shall we?
Composite Beds On Pickup Trucks - Boon or Bane?
The 2022 Toyota Tundra came out with all guns blazing. It doesn’t offer a plethora of engine options like its American rivals, but it still has a strong and loyal fan base who swear by its reliability. No wonder the Tundra and the Tacoma have a high demand even in the pre-worshipped market. While the 2022 model’s highlight was the new hybrid engine, there’s one other thing that deserves attention – its composite bed. It is said to be more abuse-friendly, but is that true?
Nissan To Unexpectedly Stir Up The EV Market By Making The Same Move It Did 70 Years Ago
A new rumor circulated the web says that Nissan is working on a new EV, but not just any EV – it’s reported a compact electric pickup truck. It’s not just the size and motivation that would make such a model unique, but the fact that it will have zero competition if it’s launched soon enough. Sounds crazy, right? Well it is, but maybe crazy is exactly what the industry needs right now, and it won’t be the first time Nissan created its own segment based on the compact pickup truck.
Watch A Scania Skip Truck and A Scania Grab Truck Gang Up On A Volvo Pump Truck On A Drag Strip
The folks at Carwow organized a different type of race this time. They got hold of three big lorries (known as ‘Trucks’ Stateside, but we’ll stick to calling them lorries to avoid confusion) to compete against each other in a series of drag and rolling races, along with a brake test. They all do different kinds of stuff. One of them is a grab lorry, the other with a concrete pumping machine, and the final one a skip lorry. In the conventional races with cars, you can kind of guess which one is going to win. But, that’s not the case here and we don’t know which one to root for either!

1944 Volkhart V2 Sagitta - The Luftwaffe’s Sleek Courier Car
Within the vast automotive world, there are cars from a certain era that aren’t talked about much. The 1940s are times most remembered for the Second World War, which forced many of the carmakers to temporarily switch from making cars to assembling military equipment, such as Tanks and Bombers. It seems the subject is taboo when we talk about German vehicles, in particular, such as the obscure 1947 Volkhard V2 Sagitta. Although the car’s roots are, even today, frowned upon by some, it featured some revolutionary design solutions. Today, we are sharing everything we have uncovered about this unrealized and forgotten automotive treasure.
