Can two German Sportscars and a hot Hatchback take on the mighty Lamborghini Urus?
The results are mixed, as all four cars are as different as their engines
Can the less powerful Germans keep up with the mighty Urus?
It comes in at 4,845 lbs. It's also the only car without a dual-clutch automatic
The lightest car here - 3,197 lbs - but also the only non-AWD of the bunch
But it has Quattro AWD on its side
3,419 lbs are a lot for a batchback, but the Golf R is still not to be undereestimated
Its twin-turbo V-8 packs 650 hp and 627 lb/ft
Its flat-six develops 420 hp at 7,600 RPM and 310 lb/ft at 5,00 RPM
Its turbo-five makes 400 hp and 354 lb/ft
But its turbo-four still puts down a respectable 320 hp and 310 lb/ft
With AWD and a quick-shifting ZF 8-speed, it takes just 11.5 seconds for the 1/4-mile
Despite not having AWD, it takes 11.8 seconds
It's close behind the Porsche, with 11.9 seconds
Despite being severely outguned, the Golf R manages 12.7 seconds
But it fails to win all of them, despite the power advantage
It kicked down the quickest, while the Urus took ages
At 4,000 RPM, the Porsche still hasn't "woken up" and it drops to 3rd place
The Golf R took a win here, but they were all withn a fender of each other
Which one would you take home?
