What happens when you put more than 4,000 horsepower on the same race track? Lots of fun, this is what happens!
by Alina Moore, onForza Horizon 5 launched on November 9, 2021 and, as it was to be expected, we already have a lot of gameplay video. While there are of course a lot to choose from, one of our favorites puts the new Bugatti Divo against the Chiron and the Veyron SS. A race everyone dreams about having in real life too, don’t you think?
In order to help you make an idea about who can possibly win this race we will bring some numbers into focus.
First of all we have the Bugatti Divo. One of the many special editions based on the Chiron, it features of course the same powertrain as the model it was built on: a quad-turbo, 8.0-liter, W-16 engine that delivers a total of 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and up to a top speed of 236 mph.
Now, if you put the Divo next to the Chiron, numbers say we are looking at the same car.
The Chiron is of course powered by the same quad-turbo, 8.0-liter, W-16 engine that delivers a total of 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque.
The 0 to 60 mph sprint is made in the same 2.4 seconds, but for the Chiron, top speed goes up to 261 mph (for the Divo, top speed is limited to 236 mph).
As for the Veyron SS numbers suggest it will loose the race way before it will even start. It is powered by a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W-16 engine that delivers a total of 1,183 horsepower and 1,106 pound-feet of torque. Except that, despite the lack of power, it goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds (just 0.1 seconds slower than the Divo and the Chiron), while top speed is limited to 257 mph. But, as a reminder, without this limited, the Veyron SS was actually able to hit a top speed of 267 mph!
So now, if we look back over these numbers we really can not make an idea about who is going to win the race! But, in the end, does it really mater? As we can say is that you should sit back and relax and try to enjoy this eight minutes of drag racing between three really cool supercars, without really thinking about who will win in the end! In this case, it should only be about the fun!
