Assetto Corsa Competizione Update Includes The BMW M4 GT3
Assetto Corsa Competizione was officially presented back in 2018, with the versions for the Xbox One and Playstation 4 announced in June 2020. At Gamescom 2021, the game’s developer - Kunos Simulazioni - announced that a version for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 will also arrive in February 2022.
However, November 2021 brings some serious updates for the PC version, and the BMW M4 GT3 is part of this update.
The 2021 update is about improving a lot of things. First, it is about performance and technical enhancements. Update 1.8 brings serious improvements to the physics engine that will allow simulating vehicles in the maximum possible realism.
The update also brings 2021 season liveries for the GT World Challenge, 2021 season Balance of Performance, and improvements to the championship mode. There is also a new "open" vehicle category, to allow more classes to fit in. The "Open Class" is now offering a multiplayer version.
Also, thanks to a close collaboration with BMW, the November 2021 update is offering the M4 GT3 as free bonus content as part of the 2021 season. For those who think this is not a big deal, we have to remind you the M4 GT3 is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six engine that delivers a total of 590 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque - a significant increase over the 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque found in the M4 Competition.
Not to mention that in real life, the M4 GT3 can only be experienced on the race track and it is priced at $530,000, so this is probably your only chance to experience it for yourself.
