2023 Ford Everest Three-Row SUV Teased, But It Probably Won’t Reach The U.S.
It is expected to make its debut in Q1 2022
by Isaac Atienza, onBody-on-frame SUVs have seen a rise in popularity in North America as of late. The Toyota 4Runner, for instance, continues to sell well despite being more than a decade old. And then we also have a ton of new body-on-frame SUVs such as the Ford Bronco, which was a sales hit for the Blue Oval brand. Soon, the next-generation Ford Everest is expected to debut, but it probably won’t reach North America.
As expected, the 2023 Ford Everest shares a lot in common with the Ranger, especially in its front end. It gets the same C-shaped LED headlight treatment and horizontal grille. There are a few styling differences in its front end as a way to separate it from the Ranger, such as the front bumper and foglight housings.
What we’re most likely looking at is the top-of-the-line Titanium variant, as the SUV in these teaser photos is riding on large alloy wheels (presumably 20-inches). As for the rest of the design, the new Everest looks more upright and boxier than the outgoing model. The rear-end’s C-shaped LED taillights have been ditched in favor of these inverted L-shaped ones.
Ford did not share any interior photos, but just like the outgoing model, it should look very similar to the Ranger, which means it should come with features such as a 10.1-inch or 12-inch touchscreen running Ford’s SYNC4 operating system, along with a fully-digital gauge cluster.
The next-generation Ford Everest will of course be mechanically related to the recently-unveiled Ranger. Expect a 2.0-liter diesel in single- and twin-turbo configurations that will be carried over from the previous model. Likewise, the new Ranger’s 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine will most likely be the top-of-the-range choice.
Expect more details to be revealed closer to the Everest’s Q1 2022 launch date. As before, the Everest will first go on sale in countries like Australia, the Philippines, and Thailand. For the Indian market, the Everest will be named the Endeavour. With this in mind, do you wish for Ford to offer the Everest here in North America?
