An all-black look is what the LC needed to look amazing!
by Alina Moore, onLexus is not at its first "Inspiration" special edition. In fact, it first launched a concept car called LC500 Inspiration Concept back in 2018, and the production version arrived just one year later.
Now, its’ time for a new "Inspiration" model, but this time is the "Black Inspiration." It will be offered for both the full hybrid electric LC 500h and the V8-powered LC 500 and will go on sale in the UK on November 1st.

What makes the 2022 Lexus LC Black Inspiration special?
This new special edition features a Graphite Black exterior finish and the usual chrome elements have been ditched and replaced by all-black ones. So, the spindle grille, door mirror casings, headlight and rear light cluster surrounds, and even the headlight cleaners are now painted back.
The car rides on 21-inch five-spoke forged alloy wheels, and its sportier look is further being enhanced by a fixed rear spoiler, Sport Plus Pack-specified carbon-fiber roof and scuff plates.
For the interior, the LC Black Inspiration is being offered with the current LC Sport Plus Pack that includes:
- 10-way power-adjustable front seats upholstered in fine-quality semi-aniline leather
- bespoke 13-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound system
- head-up display
- card key.
The model will also be offered with a few other features, including:
- Torsen limited-slip differential
- dynamic rear steering
- Variable Gear Ratio steering
- Lexus Safety System+ active safety
- driver assistance systems
- smart entry
- heated steering wheel
- front seat heating and ventilation
- Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Adaptive Variable Suspension.
As for the engine lineup, the LC500 is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V-8 engine that delivers a total of 471 horsepower at 7,100 rpm and 398 pound-feet of torque at 4,800 rpm. On the other hand, the LC500h hybrid version produces 354 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 370 pound-feet of torque at 3,000 rpm. The V-8 version goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, while the hybrid needs 4.7 seconds.
