This is exactly the case with the latest Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition announced for the 2022 model year.

What special about the 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition?
The Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition pays tribute to the original model offered back in 1967. The only "special" thing about it, is the Brittany Blue exterior finish which was inspired by the original car.
From here, depending on how much money you want to spend you have a choice of two stripes. For $2,140 you will get a choice of vinyl stripes running over the fascia, hood, roof, and rear deck. If you are willing to pay more, and we really mean more - $12,140 to be more exact - you can get painted stripes. These also run over the front, hood, roof, and rear deck. Oh, and before we forget, the "GT500" logo is also unique.
And, you guessed it! That’s all the updates the new Heritage Package brings! The rest remains unchanged.
Under the hood you will get the same 5.2-liter V-8 that cranks out 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque.
The sprint from 0 to 60 mph will be made in 3.5 seconds, while top speed will still be limited to 180 mph.
