Supercharged 1.8 Liter SVHO Engine
Yamaha’s four-cylinder, four-stroke, 1822cc, Super Vortex High Output (SVHO) marine engine delivers more power and torque than any WaveRunner in Yamaha’s range. Combined with the large 160mm hyper-flow jet pump and more efficient intake, this engine produces 20% more power than its predecessor.
Ultra-lightweight NanoXcel2 Hull
Yamaha’s cutting-edge NanoXcel2 ultra-lightweight hull is 18% lighter than the original NanoXcel, but just as strong. This advanced material compound delivers exceptional performance properties resulting in significant improvements in acceleration, top-end speed, fuel economy, and handling.
Theatre Style Cruiser Seat
This luxury, theatre-style seat is designed to provide plush accommodations for all-day riding, for up to three persons. The two-tone seat is ergonomically designed and textured for both speed and comfort and is suitable for recreational and touring conditions. It comes with separate front and rear sections, making maintenance and access to under-seat storage easy.
4 Pull-Up Cleats
*FX Cruiser SVHO model shown
Four (4) pull-up cleats located on both sides of the craft make it easy to secure the craft to docks, pontoons or other water vessels.
Connext Touchscreen
An Industry-first, all FX models are fitted with a 4.3-inch color LCD touch screen instrument panel which provides increased fuel information, drive controls, diagnostics and screen customization at your fingertips.
Multi-Mount System
Built for the most tech-savvy of riders, the new multi-mount system allows for the easy attachment of third-party action cameras, speakers, GPS, fish-finder and phone devices.
Electronic Trim
The electronic trim system allows the rider to quickly adjust how high or low the bow sits in the water, improving the crafts overall handling and on-water performance. This system can be engaged for improved cornering, carrying multiple passengers, towing, or in rough conditions.
RiDE Dual Control System
Yamaha’s patented RiDE is the world’s first dual throttle handlebar control system, that makes handling easy, fun and intuitive. Pull the right lever to accelerate and the left lever to decelerate and for reverse. Release both levers, or in any combination, and the system reacts with precise control.
Deep Reboarding Step and Handles
*FX HO model shown
The FX WaveRunner series includes twin reboarding handles and a new wider and extra-deep ergonomically designed soft-touch reboarding step, making climbing back onboard extra easy and safe. The reboarding step conveniently tucks away when not in use.
Tow Hook
For additional on-water thrills and spills, all WaveRunners come with a strong tow hook allowing for the secure towing of inflatable tubes, wakeboarders or skiers.
Massive 166.7 Liter Storage
The FX Series WaveRunners come with a massive 166.7 liters of storage. This includes a larger and fully watertight glove box, under-seat storage bucket, rear stern rope storage and enlarged storage area under the front hood.
Footwell Drains
A first for the watercraft industry, all FX Series WaveRunners come with built-in footwell drains, delivering a dryer and more comfortable riding experience.
What they say
“The new hull (fabricated from Yamaha’s lightest NanoXcel 2 material) was heavily influenced by the GP design. It turns on the proverbial dime with absolute precision, showcasing an intuitive inside lean while still displaying Yamaha’s trademark stability and rough-water prowess. A top-loader scoop grate improves handling, in part by better loading the pump. Squeeze the throttle and the supercharger with intercooler clearly boosts the performance of the already sizable, 1812cc engine. Acceleration is flagship brutal out of the hole. Top speed easily reached the benchmark 65mph plus 2mph leeway (in short, 67mph).”
